Who am I?
Well, I'm against giving out personal information, but I'm a new Wikipedia contributor and have been using it for a while now as a secondary research platform.
I'm currently popping in and out of a few articles...

Issues
AFD For "Sheree Silver"
Hi Spring12! I think the main reason that the article is flagged for deletion is because the subject of the article is not really that notable. But, I have to congratulate you on the construction of the article. It is well written, and you have given sourced etc, and the layout is good. So don't worry if it is deleted, it will be because of the subject. I wouldn't be surprised, however, if the way the article is written saves it from deletion! Macromonkey (talk) 11:58, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Sheree Silver mention on "psychic" page
By all means , get rid of the previous psychic, but the replacement is not much better. Better off with john edward or someone similar. btw, are you a believer of mediums etc? Macromonkey (talk) 20:56, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Then why did you revert back to the original, Macromonkey? In answer to your question, though, I saw Dr. Silver on Wife Swap when it first aired and i saw what she didSpring12 (talk) 21:16, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Because the two were of about equal quality and I saw no point in changing it to something basically the same, it should be improved. And if thats a yes, it's good to see another believer in these things :) Macromonkey (talk) 21:55, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
I'd appreciate the change to Dr. Silver, then, because I'm trying to remove of the orphan tag on Dr. Silver's page. Thanks for the clarification behind your reasoning, though.Spring12 (talk) 21:57, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Deleting information
I notice that you have been deleting information on some articles so that you can insert information about a certain person. It is better to add information than to replace it. The exception would be if the information you are removing is completely wrong or completely irrelevant. NJGW (talk) 22:30, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
I apologize for this, my theory was that the article comment was uncited and a citation would have been better. I was trying to create more links to this article, and I will follow your advice of mentioning the person under digit summing. Thank you for your advice.Spring12 (talk) 22:32, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Bring back "Sheree Silver"
My first article was on a psychic with a doctor in metaphysical philosophy that was on ABC's "Wife Swap" in 2007. After the first episode, a year later, Wife Swap did a contest to reswap families for the 100th episode, and she won. Basically, she and another family were the only ones in the whole series to go on the show twice... but these two national events and talk/radio shows, as well as the story how she became a psychic (changed the law in her community), did not save the consensus from AFD.
So far, I've got over twenty new sources to add to Dr. Silver's notability, including the NY Daily News and LA Times stories regarding the 100th episode and Dr. Silver's work.
Please comment on the Deletion Review, thanks.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2009_March_14 Thank you for commenting on the abovementioned article which I have put up for DRV. Sources have been updated for the DRV. Appreciate your review, thank you. Ncknight (talk) 06:55, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Sheree Silver
Spring, I have given Sheree Silver a tight edit, because it sure needed it. Lots of fluff removed. I haven't finished yet, so will be back later. Regarding your constant use of the title Dr, please look at Sally Ride. No need for Drs all over the place. It is enough to record she got a Ph D. Cheers. Kaiwhakahaere (talk) 23:28, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. This article was just restored in a deletion review, so I was trying to cite all the sources so it didn't go back to an AFD discussion.Spring12 (talk) 00:11, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
- I have reverted your change in the intro, reinstating "metaphysical counsellor" because it describes an activity/occupation etc, but "doctor in metaphysical philosophy" does not. I guess that some of the references got mixed up because I changed many links to wiki style. Thanks for offering to go through them again, but please use links as per those in the intro. Cheers. Kaiwhakahaere (talk) 01:28, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
- Makes sense, I suppose, although my reasoning was that a Ph.D. in Metaphysical Philosophy attributes to the notability of a psychic. Also, Sally Ride, the article you mentioned, listed that she was a Ph.D. in the intro... so I think it should be mentioned there, maybe by relocating the note under "family," hm... Spring12 (talk) 01:50, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
- The second paragraph in Sally Ride mentions Ph.D. The second paragraph in Sheree Silver also mentions Ph.D. Kaiwhakahaere (talk) 02:15, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Obama
Regarding predicting Pres. Obama would win: I don't understand how this is not notable. Any prediction that comes true adds to the reliability of the subject, and Silver explained her reasoning clearly in the Good Morning America Now interview. She also mentioned it in the same publication the "R.J. Larizza" prediction was. Let's not get into an edit war over this.Spring12 (talk) 23:17, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
- "Predicts Obama win" gets nearly 10,000,000 results in google. That this person is one of millions to predict an Obama win is not an extraordinary achievement and not notable. Also, maybe all references in this article need closer examination. You say here that Silver "explained her reasoning clearly in the Good Morning America Now interview". In that interview she did not say Obama would win the presidency, and ex post facto spin doesn't cut it. However, the Larizza reference does say that, so had you used that as the ref it would have been OK. But it's moot now anyway because I've removed the mention of a most unremarkable prediction. Perhaps you might want to take it to RfC if you feel so strongly about it. Cheers. Kaiwhakahaere (talk) 00:11, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- I'll consider your thoughts, but please don't insinuate that the sources are poor. I spent a lot of time researching, including through an AFD and deletion review. On a brighter note, do you think that "predictions and analysis" should be expanded with Silver's theories on colors, numerology, etc.?Spring12 (talk) 01:13, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- Don't "insinuate that the sources are poor"? Spring, I have just given you an example of a source which does not support the claim in the article!. But I thought I'd check a bit further, so had a look at the very first reference in the article, in the intro. Guess what! It does not support that sentence. It does not support either "award-winning author", "psychic", "hypnotherapist", "minister", "numerologist", "reiki master" or "metaphysical counsellor" which are all mentioned. How about the reference for her Ph.D claim? That comes from her own self published book. I give up. Kaiwhakahaere (talk) 01:43, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- Oops. You're right about that metaphysical counselor link. Maybe this? http://www.shilohspiritualcenter.org/services/services.htm. Regarding having a Ph.D.: it's been mentioned by GMA Now, NY Daily News, etc, so I'm not really sure how to prove it any more than it is. Wikipedia policy says it's acceptable to use first-hand sources, as long as most of an article's sources are from third parties.Spring12 (talk) 20:45, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- Apart from that link you gave being to Silver's own website, it does not mention "metaphysical counselor." Please, you must read Talk:Sheree Silver#Assessment, soonest. Otherwise it is pointless for anyone else to try to fix this mess.Kaiwhakahaere (talk) 19:53, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi, how did you come about the Eli Soriano article? I hope you're not building up a reputation by editing unrelated articles so that you can edit the Ang Dating Daan topics in the future. That is a very old strategy that will NEVER work. Thanks! – Shannon Rose (talk) 13:37, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- No, not at all, I'm just having difficulty figuring out which article(s) to work on next, and I've mostly flipped through Project Wikify or things on the Wiki Project Biography watch list; sometimes even the "random article" button, I think that's how I stumbled on Eli Soriano. Sorry if I bothered you... Spring12 (talk) 19:01, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Your userpage
You might wanna update the bit about it being considered for deletion, as it now appears to be safe from that. :-) Killiondude (talk) 22:18, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Answer the question
Regarding the Sheree Silver article, I asked you a question on my talk page which you have not answered. It was --"First off, your persistent efforts to put irrelevancy in this article suggest WP:COI. Are you compromised?". Well, do you have a COI? Kaiwhakahaere (talk) 06:11, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- As I attempted to (again) explain on your talk page, I was merely aiming to add reliable sources which the article is lacking right now. COI? I've been helped in the field, but I'd rather not disclose a lot of information in regards to Wikipedia:OUTING#Posting_of_personal_information. I hope you can understand. Spring12 (talk) 15:29, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- To me that indicates a definite COI. You might like to comment at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#User:Spring12.
No problem, but
Make sure you notify everyone involved in that last DrV, not just those that agreed with you (WP:CANVAS). You might have already done so, I've not looked. Best of luck! Hobit (talk) 20:06, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
You have put a lot of edits and time into this article. I enjoy your civil and mature conversation on that AfD. Just a note of appreciation. Power.corrupts (talk) 19:35, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for your kind comments! I was beginning to wonder if I was doing too much. :-) Spring12 (talk) 19:57, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
