Greetings Signedzzz. Your recent edits to Donald Trump were marked minor and had no edit summaries, although they changed the text significantly. Please take a few minutes to review WP:MINOR, and try to add edit summaries explaining your work, as a courtesy to your fellow Wikipedians. Happy editing! — JFG talk 20:20, 21 January 2018 (UTC) |

:Yes, I slipped up with a few of them. I will endeavour to supply more summaries. zzz (talk) 20:22, 21 January 2018 (UTC) |

:Out of interest, JFG, do you think that anyone - anyone at all - thinks Trump's claim of not hearing the questions properly is even remotely plausible? I mean, it obviously isn't remotely plausible, but I was wondering how someone like you sees it, who thinks Trump is "not a racist" (if I am quoting you correctly...)zzz (talk) 20:37, 21 January 2018 (UTC) |

::I'd have to review the video of this particular incident from the campaign times. It does ring a bell, and Trump's claim about the earpiece didn't sound particularly credible, although when he complained about a bad microphone at a rally, we could all hear that the sound was shitty indeed. Fact of the matter: he had disavowed any support from David Duke, and he was getting impatient at having to repeat it over and over again. On purported racism, I have always personally found it hard to believe, given the numerous instances of Trump ostensibly enjoying the presence of black people around him. He does seem to criticize various classes of people, but he is an "equal opportunity offender" -- he'll lash out at people of all races, creeds and genders! — JFG talk 20:46, 21 January 2018 (UTC) |

:::Thanks, that makes sense. Not being American, I was watching it for the first time, and taken aback that he was essentially allowed to get away with it. Cheers! zzz (talk) 20:50, 21 January 2018 (UTC) |

:::: ec Trump also has a verifiable history of hiring "black and brown" people in top positions (as well as plenty of women), and supporting people in tough situations way before he was so publicly scrutinized (i.e. it isn't "for show" only). I was also quite pleasantly surprised to see him invite Peter Thiel, a prominent homosexual, to speak at the Republican National Convention; probably no other Republican nominee would have achieved that. — JFG talk 20:46, 21 January 2018 (UTC) |
