{{unblock| reason = I was recently blocked indefinitely (by AmandaNP) and, though I couldn't originally understand why, I now do - and, indeed, I screwed up. |
|||
I'm simply going to explain myself here and let the chips fall where they may. |
|||
There were six accounts attempting to create a page for the same individual - four of which are mine. |
|||
Indeed, I created four different accounts, but please stay with me and I can explain. |
|||
(For the other two accounts - which do not belong to me - I can explain one of them, but not the other.) |
|||
These four are mine... |
|||
Ryancoke2020 |
|||
Ryancoke04 |
|||
Ryancoke1978 |
|||
Tomfoolery (Tomos Roberts) |
|||
The two accounts unrelated to me are: |
|||
Alexjohnwiseman (Draft:Tomfoolery (Poet)) |
|||
Julia Margarita Cruz |
|||
First, the 'Alexjohnwiseman' account is likely legitimate. Alex Wiseman is Tomos (Tom) Roberts' manager. I don't personally know Alex (or Tomos), though I've been in communication with Alex recently (via email). I wished him and Tom well. That was basically the extent of the communication and that's why I recognize Alex's name. |
|||
FYI - Tomos Roberts (Tomfoolery) is the author, movie producer and poet who wrote 'The Great Realisation'. He has over 64 million views of his video/poem across the various online platforms, so that likely also explains why more than one person was attempting to create a Wikipedia page for him. He also has other notable works and he's been all over the media recently. It's quite impressive. |
|||
As for 'Julia Margarita Cruz', I have no idea who this individual is. I'd let you know if I did. |
|||
As for me, The Ryancoke's are all mine as well as the 'Tomfoolery (Tomos Roberts)'. |
|||
Alright - Here are the reasons for the multiple accounts... |
|||
When I first began creating a page for Tomos Roberts (his pen name is 'Tomfoolery'), I thought the name of the user should probably resemble the name of the article in question. Well, that got me in trouble right off the start. A moderator became suspicious since it looked like I was creating my own page (I think it's called freelancing?). He encouraged me to change my username, so I opened up a brand new account using Ryancoke1978... Which, I believe, is the wrong way to change one's username? But, it was an honest mistake and I meant no harm by doing so. |
|||
I don't think I got too far with the Ryancoke1978 account. I didn't like the fact that I had included my birth year in my username. Indeed, I was born in 1978 (I'll be 42 in October). So, I changed my username to something I'd prefer. |
|||
I believe that's when I decided to go with Ryancoke04 ('04' or #4 was my favourite hockey player's number - Bobby Orr). I genuinely don't know why I decided to change from Ryancoke04 to Ryancoke2020, but I know that Ryancoke2020 was what I ultimately decided on... and, as I'm hoping you can see, I made a tremendous amount of progress in doing so. |
|||
So, it's as innocent as that. I wish I had a better story to tell, but that's it. Now, I do realise that what I did was most likely - or definitely - against the rules, but I promise, I didn't do so maliciously or with bad intents. In fact, I thought that it really didn't matter so long as these edits and changes were only done as drafts (in the sandbox, so to speak). I mean, I figured my previous usernames wouldn't see the light of day because they'd never be published. Again, this is on me and I do apologise. My intentions were good; my actions were most likely against the community standards - though, I was oblivious to this (which isn't much of an excuse, but it's all I've got). |
|||
I can assure you that, if you are kind enough to unblock me, I will strive to do much, much better going forward. |
|||
Please understand that I had made much progress and I was really excited by how nice the page was looking. I was getting the 'hang of it'. |
|||
That said, I also ran into trouble with one moderator (who ended up deleting my page; his username is Nick) because I made LOTS of edits. I am very fussy and I was often trying different looks and re-positioning things, so as to make it look more appealing. In fact, I thought I was doing really well because, at one point, Wikipedia sent me a message or an alert congratulating me on my 100th edit. I was pretty excited about this, but the moderator in question wasn't as enthused. I don't quite understand why, but I believe he thought I was creating this page for myself (freelancing?) or that I was being paid to create this page. Neither of these is true. I've offered to produce government-issued ID or anything else in order to prove that I am, indeed, who I say I am. Additionally, I am creating this page because I want to contribute to the Wikipedia community and, during this pandemic, I have much more time in order to do so. I was spending hours upon hours creating this page - not because I was being paid, but because when I dedicate myself to a project, I do so diligently and I pride myself on hard work. I don't believe hard work should be punished. |
|||
I also had issues with regards to my IP. I do not use a VPN or anything similar - and every single log-in has been from my laptop at my home. I don't make Wikipedia edits while I'm at the hospital (I work as a vascular surgeon). At most, I will use my phone to check the news or the stock market or sports scores, but that's the extent of my internet use at work. I've also never logged into Wikipedia from an establishment (e.g., restaurant, etc.). My internet provider is Eastlink (in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada). It's a home network and it's password-protected. I don't share it with anyone else and I don't ever recall having to unplug the modem (which, I'm assuming, may change my IP?). I'm really not sure why my IP is getting flagged every so often. I am entirely willing to provide you all my ISP and IP information. |
|||
Also, if it's at all beneficial, as I mentioned above, I will provide government-issued ID (a photo, for example)... or any other documentation that you may deem useful. I'm willing to comply with any and all requests. |
|||
I'm not sure what else to add or to include. |
|||
That said, I meant no harm and I didn't do anything purposely malicious. My intentions were good - I assure you. |
|||
I would kindly ask that you allow me to continue the work I've already undertaken, and I genuinely endeavour to avoid the unforced errors that have led to this unfortunate outcome. |
|||
Please let me know at your earliest convenience. |
|||
Kindly, |
|||
Ryan |
|||
P.S. - If you require additional information, please simply let me know and I will accommodate you insofar as I'm able. I will do everything within my power, I promise you this much.}} |

Ryancoke2020, you are invited to the Teahouse!
Hi Ryancoke2020! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. We hope to see you there!

Follow up
Hi Ryan. I've received your e-mail, but as you may have seen, your account has been blocked by another administrator, one with additional rights who is known as a checkuser, who can see more information about your account, connection details etc. They've placed a very specific type of block on your account, a checkuser block, which normal administrators such as myself cannot lift. You will need to follow the instructions provided at the guidance for appealing a block. There is nothing further I can do to assist with the deletion issue until you have been unblocked. Nick (talk) 11:31, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
Hi Nick. She didn't even provide a reason for blocking me and she doesn't respond to emails, apparently. How can I appeal when I don't know what I did wrong? They request reasons why and why I won't do it in the future, but again, she hasn't provided a reason - simply a block and, not only that, but she disabled my ability to 'talk'. I mean, it's almost comical at this point.
So, this is how it went... 1- My IP was blocked by some random individual in the Czech Republic, though it was done mistakenly. That's really his job? - Blocking random IP addresses in Canada that do not, in fact, use a VPN. This, then, set off a chain reaction of attacks by various 'moderators' - as though I now had a target on my proverbial back.
2- You then deleted my page despite my complete willingness to work with you in correcting whatever issue had drawn your ire. But, you simply refused. I still don't quite understand why you did what you did, though I intend on finding out. It's Wikipedia; the rules should be a wee bit more lax than what you might find in a dictatorship. I mean, c'mon, Nick... I'm a genuinely decent guy who put a lot of work into that page and, at the very least, this was patently obvious. You have a duty to be fair and judicious in your actions, but you chose to abuse your authority - and, that's not cool. You need only re-read our conversation thread (which I've saved) in order to see that one of us was being very rational and compliant and willing to do whatever was necessary. Unfortunately, rational and compliant aren't always the victor - as we're currently witnessing in today's society (and, apparently, online). Am I upset? - Sure! But, I'm more so disappointed that you were so callous and unwilling to hear me out.
3- Then, for whatever reason, I am blocked indefinitely (while I was attempting to converse with you - on your page)... which seems a bit coincidental and convenient. I mean, out of left field, I'm banned indefinitely without being given a reason why. Is that par for the course? Is that typical? I'm dead serious, my friend. How is anyone able to contribute to Wikipedia given the capricious decision-making and random acts of punitive repercussions? I've lost all interest in wanting to contribute, but I fully intend on following through with a detailed complaint and a stop payment on my $100.00 per month contribution to Wikipedia. Never again will I contribute financially after how I've been treated these past couple of days. I promise I am not being vindictive; that's not my style. But, I do believe in people being held accountable.
Take good care and stay healthy during these challenging times.
Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 13:04, 8 July 2020 (UTC))
- @AmandaNP: I have no knowledge of the prior VPN issue or any of the private IP data. That's not something I have access to, but hopefully Amanda may be able to clarify the situation further. You have talk page access here and you're welcome to ask any administrator to review your unblock request, once we get to the bottom of the block with Amanda. Nick (talk) 14:07, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
@AmandaNP: Nick - She doesn't respond! It's a veritable 'hit and run'. Without cause or explanation, she arbitrarily blocked me indefinitely and then disappeared. That's fine. I may not be the biggest donor to Wikipedia - $1,200.00 per year is not exactly a million dollars - but, I fully intend on making it clear to those in charge that they will no longer be receiving my monthly contributions due to the way I've been treated these past couple of days. It's shameful, Nick. I've never in my life been made to feel like this - and, for what? For wanting to be a part of the Wikipedia community and to contribute my time and effort during these challenging times. I'm also a medical professional on the front lines of this pandemic. I'm not asking for special treatment, but I think fair treatment and, perhaps, the benefit of the doubt would be in order. I'm just thoroughly disappointed and, tbh, I think you would be, too.
Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 14:45, 8 July 2020 (UTC))
- Ryan, with respect, you messaged me at 11pm last night via email. Right before I went to bed. I also work in the morning like I assume you do too at times. I'll be happy to look over this later today after work. Please be patient for a few more hours until I can sit down and fully review your email. Like you, I am not paid to edit or protect Wikipedia, so i'm not 24/7 on call. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 14:53, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
- Amanda, Equally with respect and, perhaps, a friendly suggestion - When you block someone indefinitely, you could provide a detailed reason why, as well as the means to reach you through 'talk'. Blocking my ability to communicate doesn't exactly foster a positive environment. Additionally, if you're going to block someone with the knowledge that you won't be able to reply for the next 24 hours, it may behoove you to make absolutely sure that you're, in fact, not capriciously and randomly doing so to legitimate contributors - editorially and financially. I'd be foolish to donate part of my salary to Wikipedia only to log on and do whatever it is you're claiming I did (I STILL do not know why I was blocked... How is that?).
Please allow me to recap... I do not use a VPN - full stop! I am not a freelancer (whatever that means) and I am not creating a Wikipedia page for my own benefit. Here... I realize this is public, but it doesn't much matter. I'm a vascular surgeon. I am on call A LOT and, throughout this pandemic, I have doubled in the ICU (mostly working the vents and monitoring patients). All that to say that, in my spare time, I'm not looking for drama and chaos. I simply wanted to contribute to Wikipedia (other than financially). But, this entire experience has thoroughly soured me and I find it reprehensible that someone with genuinely good intentions would be treated as though he had committed a deadly sin. I've always been respectful in my communications and I will continue doing so, but this is getting tiresome. I mean, you must understand that this is getting to be borderline silly? If you refuse to unblock my page, I do believe it's incumbent upon you to state the reason(s) why you've blocked me. At your earliest convenience, I would encourage you to make the proper decision regarding this matter and, preferably, in a timely fashion. Thank you and please be well, Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 15:36, 8 July 2020 (UTC))
- @Nick: Hello, Nick: Do you have an identification # or some sort of identifying item (apart from your username) that Wikipedia requires as part of a formal complaint procedure? I'm not inquiring about personal details. Just what is typically required as per a complaint.
Thank you. Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 23:42, 8 July 2020 (UTC))
- If you use my name, that's the same across all projects, whoever deals with your complaint will know who I am and can discuss the issue with me further if they need to. I don't really know what I'll be able to discuss with the OTRS team, due to the nature of the block and not having access to the technical data concerning the VPN and the accompanying geographic data, but if you do wish to make a complaint about my actions, you're most welcome to do so. Nick (talk) 08:28, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Nick: I do understand your desire to pretend as though you had nothing to do with any of this (and to pawn this off on AmandaNP), but you can't deny that you deleted my page for unwarranted reasons and despite the fact that I was fully willing to work with you. To feign ignorance at this point is disingenuous.
I will pursue this to the bitter end and spend whatever resources necessary because I feel it's absolutely egregious. I am an honest individual who cares deeply about the truth, and I was contributing in good faith - both editorially and financially to Wikipedia... until you and your friends decided they'd gang up on me and ensure such a negative, prejudicial experience. In my opinion, your rights as a 'moderator' (or whatever your title is) should be curtailed and, ultimately, revoked - until you prove that you can operate in good faith. But again, that's simply my opinion. Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 04:13, 10 July 2020 (UTC))
- I'm sorry you're feeling that we've been unfair. Amanda and I are both volunteers here and do what we do because we believe strongly in the creation, distribution and protection of free knowledge. We're not being paid for what we do, and speaking for myself, I don't appreciate the tone of your discussion, given that we're both doing our utmost to help look after Wikipedia. I found your article during routine patrolling, and upon further investigation, I found two other people had written an article on the same person at the same time. The article (and the subject itself) don't appear to meet the inclusion criteria for Wikipedia at this time, and the way in which you were writing it (you had amassed more than 200 edits to the page) did suggest that you were using Wikipedia as some sort of webhost. You've explained that is not the case and ordinarily, we would restore the page and give you further instruction on how to submit the article for review. That hasn't happened, as yet, because you're currently blocked. I honestly cannot do anything about the block at this time and I honestly know nothing about the VPN issue or any of the accompanying geographic issues you've discussed, so can't provide any guidance or assistance with regards to that particular issue. If/when you've unblocked, I can (and will) provide assistance with the article. I say this next section out of care - if you have accepted payment and/or are otherwise employed in some way, shape or form to write this article, that isn't necessarily an issue. If you are, you can complete a paid-contribution disclosure and that will ensure your contributions are compliant with our paid-contribution policy and the site's Terms of Use. I hope all of that makes sense. Nick (talk) 13:01, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Nick: Nick... Whether you're a volunteer or whether you're paid, you should endeavour to do a good, honest job. Why are you attempting to convince me that you're honourable and fair? You've already clearly demonstrated that you're highly capricious and unwilling to have a reasonable dialogue.
Why is it my problem that two other people were writing an article about the same individual? Tomos Roberts is an author, a movie producer, an actor, a poet and his work entitled, 'The Great Realisation' has 64 million views across the various social media platforms. His poem has been translated into 20 different languages and was, just recently, turned into a book by the same name. The publisher is Harper Collins. He has been interviewed by the Today Show, the Washington Post, the BBC, Sky News, the NZ Herald and he has written for Vogue Magazine. He was also featured on CNN and many other news programs. He owns his own movie production company and has already produced several dramatic films. This is not an exhaustive list of his works and achievements. So, is it really any wonder that more than one person may be writing about the same individual - seeing as this person is a world-wide sensation and a bright, upcoming star? As for my editing, I'm fussy and the page I was creating was extensive and thorough in nature. I don't understand what you'd like me to do? - Be sloppy and careless? Like, what exactly are you advocating for?
Once again - and I have our conversations - I offered to produce any documentation required so as to satisfy your concerns and you flat-out refused to accept anything. You were rude and accusatory, and you wouldn't so much as have a look at the page I was creating. If you had done your due diligence, you would have seen that the extensive nature of my page required many edits. In fact, when I reached my 100th edit, I received a notification encouraging me and thanking me for these changes. It also said something akin to "keep going". So, who's not telling the truth, Nick? I also have these notifications and I plan to produce them. Wikipedia tells me to keep going (and thanks me for my edits), but you delete my page because I've made too many edits? What??? Does that make any sense to you? I'm just asking for a friend here.
I've been nothing but respectful and courteous. You have been insolent, accusatory and dismissive throughout this entire process. I also have reason to believe that you conspired, along with AmandaNP, to have me indefinitely blocked. I will ensure that this is thoroughly investigated.
I am logging every last detail and I assure you that I will see this through until there's a measure of justice and fairness afforded me.
I do, however, continue to wish you well.
Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 13:41, 10 July 2020 (UTC))
- @Nick: P.S. - I will continue withdrawing my financial support so long as I continue to be treated so egregiously. And, I will also ensure that Wikipedia finds out that the reason I have decided to claw back my $ is due directly and entirely to Nick and to AmandaNP (and your actions / behaviours). This is only the beginning of my financial withdrawal. I receive the odd request to donate $2 ... I donate over 500x this amount, and in return, this is how I'm treated. It's shameful!
I am so disillusioned and discouraged by the way I've been treated, despite being a genuinely good and honest contributor - both, financially and editorially. I fully intend on filing thorough complaints for abuse of power, lack of communication, unwarranted accusations, breach of rules and conduct and anything else I am able to deem appropriate. I will go to the very top of the food chain and reach out to Mr. Wales personally, if need be. I am already in the process of cancelling my current donation and do not intend on donating a single penny going forward. If this is what Wikipedia represents, I am not interested in funding it. This genuinely makes me sad because my intentions were so good and well-meaning. What's been done to me and how I've been treated is egregious, in my opinion. Sincerely, Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 00:28, 9 July 2020 (UTC))
- @AmanadaNP: Do you intend on responding and providing me a detailed reason as to why I've been blocked indefinitely? I believe it's your obligation to do so. Respectfully, it's incumbent upon you to behave more professionally. This is poor form and a bad look. In medicine (my domain), this wouldn't be acceptable and you'd be admonished for being delinquent and irresponsible.
You said this would be taken care of yesterday, but once again, you've failed to deliver on your promise. Failure to communicate in all aspects of life results in repercussion - both big and small. It's essential that you behave appropriately and, in doing so, reply to my messages. Thank you, Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 05:21, 10 July 2020 (UTC))
- @AmanadaNP: Respectfully, I will continue withdrawing my financial support as a direct result of your unwillingness to communicate and assist in helping unblock my page (as well as restoring all my previous work). I imagine, once I withdraw hundreds and, ultimately, thousands, someone will begin to notice... Following this, I will present all evidence I've gathered thus far and demonstrate how egregiously I've been treated - despite simply wanting to contribute to the Wikipedia community, both honestly and diligently.

Request reason:
Hello - I have requested from AmandaNP the reason(s) for my indefinite block, but she simply refuses to answer. She assured me that she'd take care of this two days ago, but the communication has been one-sided ever since. I want to request an unblock, but she won't even tell me the reason(s) for why I've been blocked. So, I do find it difficult to give appropriate information as to why the block should be removed. Regardless, I do request all necessary advice as to how to log a complaint against both AmandaNP and Nick - two moderators that have been rude, accusatory, capricious, unwilling to communicate or to respond appropriately, etc. I have acted in good faith and I have been respectful at all times, but their actions have made it impossible to contribute to the Wikipedia community. Furthermore, earlier today, I cancelled a $104.00 donation and every month going forth, I plan on making a stop-payment on my credit card, so as to prevent my monthly $104.00 donation. This saddens me because I have always loved Wikipedia, and admittedly, ~$1,200.00/year isn't the largest contribution, however I will find a charitable cause that doesn't abuse its donors in such an egregious manner. Kindly, Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 17:42, 10 July 2020 (UTC))
Decline reason:
Please read WP:GAB. All we care about is your behavior and how you intend to not violate our policies in the future. We don't care at all about your donations; they don't give you any special rights here. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 15:46, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Jpgordon: - Hello - At no time did I suggest that my donations afforded me special rights. I mentioned my financial contributions as a defence. In other words, why would I donate $1,200.00+ per year to Wikipedia, only to cause problems or to purposely violate the community standards. I mean, if I wanted to be disruptive, I could save myself the money and engage in this behaviour regardless.
I think you'll understand what I mean. I have to admit that I'm chuckling that this logic seems to have escaped you - or maybe not? Cheers, ... Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 04:07, 12 July 2020 (UTC))
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Apologies I have been not well the past few days. So the reason why you are blocked is because there are 4 different accounts trying to restore and promote the same page and that are checkuser confirmed to being you, while on a local ISP from the town you said you lived in when you emailed me. They came from the computer with the same details. Those four accounts are:
- Ryancoke2020 (talk · · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki)
- Ryancoke04 (talk · · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki)
- Ryancoke1978 (talk · · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki)
- Tomfoolery (Tomos Roberts) (talk · · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki)
- As you've talked about above, it makes it clear all 3 Ryancoke's are you, and with them having the same technical data as the Tomfoolery account, there is no doubt all 4 are you. Two of those accounts tried to promote Tomfoolery at User:Ryancoke2020/sandbox and User:Ryancoke04/sandbox. Further, Alexjohnwiseman tried to promote them at Draft:Tomfoolery (Poet). Tomfoolery was also promoted by Julia Margarita Cruz at User:Julia Margarita Cruz. While these other two accounts show up in other locations, it is also likely that this is a coordinated attempt to get the article published against our rules and abuse multiple accounts. So at this time, I will not unblock and that is why you are blocked. Also the other pings didn't get to me because your adding an extra "a" in my name. Also we do not unblock or make exemptions to the rules for those who donate, so well we appreciated when you donated, we understand if you don't do it any further.
- Now the original VPN block I originally downgraded so that people could edit logged in. This VPN issue could be because you tried to edit from work or somewhere that uses a corporate firewall. That's why it registers as a VPN. There is really nothing either side can do about it except process an exemption for legitimate and trusted user or downgrade the block. I downgraded the block to affect logged-out people only. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 21:46, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
- @AmandaNP: I just did it again... I added an 'a' to your name. Yikes! - I apologize! Let me start over... LOL! - Hey Amanda... I genuinely hope you're feeling better. It's a challenging and scary time - for everyday citizens and health care professionals alike. Thankfully, we're doing considerably better here in Canada than in some other places.
This is beginning to make sense. I can account for four of those accounts, and I'm trying to figure out the fifth one. There are some personal details, however. Could I email you, rather than post these details here? Please let me know at your earliest convenience. Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 22:03, 10 July 2020 (UTC))
- It's likely best you email the checkuser team, because I don't give out my email (which would happen if I replied to you) to many people because of the level of abuse I get. That way also if you want another CU to look into it, they don't have to wait for me or you to send it. Instructions/that email are available at Wikipedia:CheckUser#Contacting_a_CheckUser. Please ping me (again without the extra "a" so I get the ping) when you send the email as I won't be notified otherwise and won't be able to look into the issue. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 22:16, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
- @AmandaNP: Hey Amanda... I am truly sorry for inadvertently adding an additional 'a' to your name. I assure you it was unintentional.
I'm simply going to explain myself here and let the chips fall where they may.
First, the 'Alexjohnwiseman' account is likely legitimate. Alex Wiseman is Tomos (Tom) Roberts' manager. I don't personally know Alex (or Tomos), though I've been in communication with Alex recently (via email). I wished him and Tom well, and mentioned that, if ever they were in Canada (near me), I'd be happy to show them around Toronto or Ottawa - relatively close to where I live. That was the extent of the communication and that's why I recognize Alex's name.
As for 'Julia Margarita Cruz', I have no idea. I'd let you know if I did.
As for me, The Ryancoke's are all me as well as the 'Tomfoolery (Tomos Roberts)'. Alright - Are you ready? - Yikes!
When I first began creating a page for Tomos Roberts (his pen name or nom de plume is 'Tomfoolery'), I thought the name of the user should probably resemble the name of the article in question.
I don't think I got too far with the Ryancoke1978 account. I didn't like the fact that I had included my birth year in my username. Indeed, I was born in 1978 (I'll be 42 in October... How did that happen so quickly? lol). So, I changed my username to something I'd prefer.
I believe that's when I decided to go with Ryancoke04 ('04' or #4 was Bobby Orr's number - my favourite hockey player). I genuinely don't know why I decided to change from Ryancoke04 to Ryancoke2020, but I know that Ryancoke2020 was what I ultimately decided on... and, as you can likely see, I made a tremendous amount of progress in doing so.
So, it's as innocent as that. I wish I had a better story to tell, but that's it. Now, I do realise that what I did was most likely against the rules, but I promise, I didn't do so maliciously or with bad intents. In fact, I thought that it really didn't matter so long as these edits and changes were only done as drafts (in the sandbox, so to speak). I mean, I figured my previous usernames wouldn't see the light of day because they'd never be published. Again, this is on me and I do apologise. My intentions were good; my actions were probably against the community standards - though, I was oblivious to this (which isn't much of an excuse, but it's all I've got).
I can assure you that, if you are kind enough to unblock me, I will strive to do much, much better going forward.
Please understand that I had made much progress and I was really excited by how nice the page was looking. I was getting the 'hang of it' and, as Nick mentioned, I made LOTS of edits. I am very fussy and I was often trying different looks and re-positioning things, so as to make it look more appealing.
Again, with regards to the IP issue, I promise you that I do not use a VPN or anything similar - and every single log-in has been from my laptop at my home. I don't make Wikipedia edits while I'm at the hospital. At most, I will use my phone to check the news or the stock market or sports scores, but that's the extent of my internet use at work. I've also never logged into Wikipedia from an establishment (e.g., restaurant, etc.). The only place I've been to recently is Tim Horton's and I don't even know if the restaurant is open yet. It may be? I simply used the drive-through. My internet provider is Eastlink. It's a home network and it's password-protected. I don't share it with anyone else and I don't ever recall having to unplug the modem (which, I'm assuming, may change my IP?). I'm really not sure why my IP is getting flagged. I am entirely willing to provide you all my ISP and IP information.
I'm not sure what else to add or to include. I may have just sunk myself by giving you the full details of what occurred.
That said, I meant no harm and I didn't do anything purposely malicious. My intentions were good - I assure you.
I would kindly ask that you to reconsider and allow me - perhaps on a probationary status? - to continue the work I've already undertaken. In fact, I wouldn't mind if someone kept an eye on me and, every so often, let me know if I was doing something that may be questionable or a bit sketchy.
Please let me know. Thanks, Amanda.

Request reason:
I'm simply going to explain myself here and let the chips fall where they may.
There were six accounts attempting to create a page for the same individual - four of which are mine. Indeed, I created four different accounts, but please stay with me and I can explain. (For the other two accounts - which do not belong to me - I can explain one of them, but not the other.)
These four are mine... Ryancoke2020 Ryancoke04 Ryancoke1978 Tomfoolery (Tomos Roberts)
The two accounts unrelated to me are: Alexjohnwiseman (Draft:Tomfoolery (Poet)) Julia Margarita Cruz
As for 'Julia Margarita Cruz', I have no idea who this individual is. I'd let you know if I did.
As for me, The Ryancoke's are all mine as well as the 'Tomfoolery (Tomos Roberts)'.
Alright - Here are the reasons for the multiple accounts...

So, it's as innocent as that. I wish I had a better story to tell, but that's it. In fact, I thought that it really didn't matter so long as these edits and changes were only done as drafts (in the sandbox, so to speak). Please understand that I had made much progress and I was really excited by how nice the page was looking. I was getting the 'hang of it'.
Also, if it's at all beneficial, as I mentioned above, I will provide government-issued ID (a photo, for example)... or any other documentation that you may deem useful. I'm willing to comply with any and all requests.
I'm not sure what else to add or to include.
That said, I meant no harm and I didn't do anything purposely malicious. My intentions were good - I assure you.
I would kindly ask that you allow me to continue the work I've already undertaken, and I genuinely endeavour to avoid the unforced errors that have led to this unfortunate outcome.
Please let me know at your earliest convenience.
Kindly,
Ryan
P.S. - If you require additional information, please simply let me know and I will accommodate you insofar as I'm able. I will do everything within my power, I promise you this much.Notes:
