Welcome to Wikipedia
Listed below are some brief introductions containing all the basics needed to use, comment on, and contribute to Wikipedia.
- Main Introduction — What is Wikipedia?
- Wikipedia:A Primer for newcomers — A good starting point.
- The Five Pillars — What are the principles behind Wikipedia?
- Quick Introductions to:
- Policies and guidelines — How does Wikipedia actually work?
- Talk pages — How do I communicate in Wikipedia?
- Referencing — How do I add sources to articles?
- Uploading images — How do I add and use images?

- What Wikipedia is not - even though everyone can edit it, Wikipedia is still an encyclopedia.
If you want to know more about a specific subject, Help:Help explains how to navigate the many help pages.
- Google: Wikipedia is very well indexed by Google. Searching for a term, even about an editing question, followed by "wiki" or "wikipedia" usually pulls up what you need.
Where next?
- Check out Help:Watching pages. Your own Watchlist can become your favorite place to visit.
- If you wish to express an opinion or make a comment, Where to ask questions will point you in the correct direction.
- If you would like to edit an article, the Basic tutorial will show you how, and How to help will give you some ideas for things to edit.
- If you would like to create a new article, Starting an article will explain how to create a new page, with tips for success and a link to Wikipedia's Article Wizard, which can guide you through the process of submitting a new article to Wikipedia.
- For more support and some friendly contacts to get you started, the Editors' Welcome page or the Wikipedia:Teahouse page could be your next stop!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. This page should not be speedy deleted as an attack or a negative unsourced biography of a living person, because... Proposed deletion of 2015 Las Vegas car attack
The article 2015 Las Vegas car attack has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Hardly notable enough for a stand-alone article
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. MilborneOne (talk) 20:40, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

Do you mind helping a fella' save his sanity?
Well, I don't know if some of the editors noticed, but with the least arrogance, I updated most of the list of terrorist incidents since Setpbember 2015 and you may imagine what is it to be constipated with terror attacks and giving the fact editors including me have documented more then 50 terror attacks in 22 days (that's more then two per day), I kinda start to get sick of it. So I thought to my self, since you seem to have added some incidents, I should give you some of the tools I use to find terror attacks.
- This website, is an indicator. It is not a source, but you can use it to find attacks and then search them in mainstream media.
- This is kind of a dubious website, but it is also a good indicator, never use it a source, extremly biased.
- This website is good for India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, it has information about Naxalite-Maoist insurgency in India and Taliban conflict in Pakistan and Afghanistan, as well as Blochistan.
- I also find Yahoo News a very good source since it collects reports from several news agencies altogather.
- For Israel news, well, if you want, from time to time, to see if I am doing a terrible job, you can use this website as an incidcator or a source (I never used it as a source anyways) for Israel.
I really hope to see more editors working on the list since I am starting to loose it really.. Thanks anyway.--Bolter21 (talk to me) 20:49, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

Kalamazoo shootings
I want to thank you, and by extension the other editors working on it, for creating a fair, balanced and most importantly, calm and non-sensational article on the above. As a former long time Kalamazoo resident, I'm too emotional about this to involve myself directly. The young lady in the side story about the couple that cancelled their ride is my ex-fiancee's daughter. Some of the other editors on the article will tell you that I am strongly opposed to articles on current crime stories here. There are several reasons, but the main two are:
- Sadly, mass casulty incidents have become so frequent that they have ceased to have historic impact except to those involved, or at least to those in the locale they occur.
- Inevitably they become a quagmire of rumors and POV.
Good editing practice has avoided the second here, thank you. And as far as historic impact, well I'm sure Uber's bottom line will see some impact for at least a couple quarters. John from Idegon (talk) 05:42, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
