Competition icons
Hi, I suggest you read MOS:ICON, which says that icons should not be used simply for decoration, especially when the point is made perfectly well with text on its own. People know what the European Cup is without needing a crappy little icon of its trophy (which is copyrighted, by the way!). Therefore, please stop reverting me and leave the page as it was. – PeeJay 17:43, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 5
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Persecution of Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page KFOR (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

so why did you revert my changes? there are millions of references where these people are referred to as kosovars. Is this political? here are two recent ones=>

That's your POV, not what most of the sources say. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.231.192.149 (talk) 10:34, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
Your reverting of my removal of unsourced Serbian rivalries and the comments you made in the edit summaries was unhelpful. However, I see you have since added a couple of references, so presumably you're well aware of WP:V and WP:N as key foundations of Wikipedia, and have in some way acknowledged the point I was making. Can I ask that you cite the remaining Serbian references please, and they should really be independent sources. I have no agenda against Serbian teams, and deleted a number of other unsourced rivalries as well. Please tone down your edit summaries and if you have things to say use the article or user talk page instead. Thanks. Eldumpo (talk) 20:31, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, I am not Arab. What made you think that? OK, happy for you to find appropriate sources for those Serbian rivalries in due course, but don't make it too open-ended. By the way, what is 'achi'? Eldumpo (talk) 21:01, 11 February 2013 (UTC)

Persecution of Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo
Hello Nado. Concerning Persecution of Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo, I also oppose its removal but I need to let you know that if it is to remain, changes will have to be made in the form of a lot of the information being removed. Over the years it has become like a shopping list with new cases added every time it is reported that a non-Albanian has been a victim of crime. In the real world there is a criminal fraternity everywhere among every ethnicity and horrible things happen, we cannot positively attribute each incident to systemic persecution. Take the case of the returnees which I removed, although there is no information on the motive or suspects, I admit that I smell a rat and believe this to be a hate crime but we mustn't fall into WP:OR. My suggestion is that we try as best to stick to HRW/U.N. sources if we can. The fact is that the only sources to confirm persecution come directly from the mouths of survivors and those close to victims. With the world not officially admitting this obvious occurrence, we are a bit stuffed which means we need to edit carefully. Are you all right with my suggestion? Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 17:14, 14 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. As I said I am well aware of the persecution scenario. Regarding the debate, those who favour deletion all cite Wikipedia policy which is why we are forced to work with them to improve the article, otherwise it will simply be deleted. Very few editors have suggested how we scatter the sourced information should the page we wiped, most really don't care because the continued presence of the page and its entire content gives them a headache. The problem we are facing is this: the perspective of any non-Albanian clarifies that life in post-1999 Kosovo is bleak and safety uncertain. Now all incidents that took place between 1998 and the Kumanovo agreement the following year can be considered part of the conflict because in fairness, there was an active belligerent opponent at the time. Once FRY forces withdrew, there was no more threat to the secessionist individuals but the non-symathetic population has faced discrimination in all forms. The problem is that we have no sources to confirm that the world has acknowledged this. There have been no reports of persecution published in the U.N. and the world's media have never formally identified this chapter in international affairs. That means that when we edit our list, our claim that they are connected falls into the WP:SYNTH hole because we work from the outside inward rather than the other way around. I can argue that there is widespread persecution but I cannot fight Wikipedia policy, does that make sense to you Nado? Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 19:13, 14 February 2013 (UTC)
- my apologies, Nado158. I restored one edit too few. Our friend appears to have gone as quickly as he appeared... Peacemaker67 (send... over) 12:22, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
Zemun article
Can you please explain to me why do you keep deleting a certain section in Zemun article with the same argumentation that was used by a banned user and confirmed sockpuppet? You are aware that the same section was present in that article not just for months but years, all until recently? Shokatz (talk) 11:41, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
- I already explained--Nado158 (talk) 11:45, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
- No you didn't. Deleting an entire section and only writing "no references" (when in fact they are provided) is not sufficient. By your logic I can easily revert and delete every change you did recently to the article by the same argument...even more as you have failed to provide any reference at all. Anyway I find it only appropriate to let you know I will ask an admin to look into this as your edits seem quite suspicious as they are identical with the recently banned sockpuppet as is your argumentation for doing so. Regards. Shokatz (talk) 12:00, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
