== Quick comment on Template:Anti-Semitism revert war == |
|||
SlimVirgin and Jayjg revert my edits on a set of articles whether or not my articles are legitimate. I have complained about it before here . I collaborated recently on the creation of the Template:Israel-Palestinian Conflict, which went very well. During that collaboration I discovered the tnavbar macro and applied it to 4 templates that were missing it at the same time. One of those tepmlates was Template:Anti-Semitism. Only that addition was reverted repeatedly for what I believe were unique and invalid arguments -- it just further proves to me that I am targeted to be treated unfairly by these two. --Bhouston 23:22, 5 October 2006 (UTC) |

Though I have been back from vacation for a while, I have decided to keep this template here just so you know I may leave my computer at any time, without warning. Musaabdulrashid 02:30, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Union Infobox
Sure, I'd be glad to help. When I started the union infobox I couldn't find much documentation either. There is some good advice, but not much technical info. So all I did was steal the template from Wikipedia:WikiProject Business and Economics, and modify it to our needs. :) Your note reminded me that I need to update the 'box though, because it still uses the outdated "hiddenStructure" syntax (which is frowned on - I think it doesn't translate for screen-reading programs). I'm going to work on that, and I can give you a start on your pipe box at the same time if you like. An alternate plan is just to wade in - go to Template:Infobox Company and copy what is there to your sandbox and then start experimenting (if you don't have a "sandbox" you can start one with this link User:Musaabdulrashid/sandbox, or use any name you want after the slash). If you do that let me know and I'll try and help there as well. (Keep in mind that I'm just clunking along here myself :) Cheers. --Bookandcoffee 17:46, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Well, here's a start for you. I've got to dash or I'll be late for work, but have a look at it and see what you like and what you want to change. It will have to be moved out of my sandbox before you use it on articles, of course! The code is at User:Bookandcoffee/Sandbox. --Bookandcoffee 23:23, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- Looks like you're on your way. I commented out my example - good luck with the project. --Bookandcoffee 15:07, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
Pipe band articles
I just wanted to say that you did a really great job creating these pipe band articles. They are well-written with a standard page format and cover all the right bases. I honestly don't usually give out kudos, but good work! —Centrx→talk • 08:29, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
youth ministry
I'd love to. Would you prefer the article to be moved to Youth ministry (Evangelical), or Youth ministry (Christian)? HellaNorCal 06:10, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Joseph's Tomb
I don't think I'll be able to do that one, but just remember - if a statement is unsourced, you are entirely within your rights to demand a source, and, if none is provided, delete the statement. - Mustafaa 23:01, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

My RfA
Hey Musa, just a quick note to let you know I withdrew my RfA at 13/11/10. Thanks for your opinin (and, in all honesty, my writing skills aren't really that bad :D) --james(talk) 11:33, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
RfA thanks
I noticed that you tagged the articles at Bangladesh Astronomical Association and Chimney Rock Park for speedy deletion. In both cases, I was able to edit the articles to improve them. Sometimes the best way of dealing with a weak article is to add a comment asking for it to be improved, or to improve it yourself. Regards, TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 06:51, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, Bangladesh Astronomical Association was probably a mistake, but Chimney Rock Park might be a good candidate for AfD if there is nothing else notable about it.--Musaabdulrashid 06:56, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
Epping Forest Pipe Band
I have created an article called "Epping Forest Pipe Band" but you have deleted it, saying that it is in breach of copyright! I have express permission from The Epping Forest Pipe Band Web Master and The Epping Forest Pipe Band Pipe Major to use the text that I used, as well as the page where the text comes from has the GFDL licence agreement shown at the bottom, thus not violating any copyright! Please put the article back on Wikipedia, or explain why you have taken it off!!! The Epping Forest Pipe Band Web Master has attempted to email Wikipedia, but has not yet received any response. The page concerned is listed at http://main.efpb.org/home/content/about/who/history/ where you will see the appropriate legal notice at the bottom. Thanks - pebkac
- Thank you for your concerns. It is very possible that I made a mistake and did not see the notice releasing the article to public domain at the time that I marked the article as a copyvio. This would also mean that the admin who deleted the article did not see this notice. If the notice was added after the article was deleted, than deleting it was still the right thing to do. You will notice that the article is protected from re-creation. This is because it was deleted twice in total. I deleted it the first time usind WP:PROD and the second time was for the alledged copyvio. The article as it stands now is an heinous misuse of wikipedia. wikipedia is WP:NOT an advertising service and posting promotional material from your bands website on wikipedia also constitutes vanity (WP:VAIN). This is summed up very vell at WP:ENC. If you would still like to recreate this article regardless of these guidelines you should ask an admin (from the list of admins) to unprotect/undelete it for you and try to find some way that your band merits notibility based on WP:MUSIC. Thanks again. Musaabdulrashid 22:38, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
I was creating this article on behalf of The Epping Forest Pipe Band, I am personally only a friend of a member, not a member my self. Epping Forest Pipe Band did not ask me to make an article about them, I asked them if I could use their content and they accepted.
I have noticed that many other Bagpipe Bands, some of whom are very similar to The Epping Forest Pipe Band, such as The Steel Thistle Youth Pipe Band, are listed on Wikipedia, and they are not, I assume, considered to be "an heinous misuse of wikipedia". It is certainly not my intention to use Wikipedia as "an advertising service", but instead to recognise one of Epping Forests most historic Pipe bands, since The Epping Forest Pipe Band recently celebrated its 30th birthday, and is currenly in its third generation of musicians, as well as having roots which run back many generations. Could you please explain to me why these other Bagpipe Bands are allowed to be listed in Wikipedia, and The Epping Forest Pipe Band is not.
Also, the EFPB Web Master added the copyright notice to the previously mentioned page before its Wikipedia copy was deleted.
Obviously I want to conform to Wikipedia regulations in the same way that others have, so could I please I be pointed in the right direction as to creating an article, on behalf of The Epping Forest Pipe Band, which is able to do this.
Thanks - pebkac
- If you are putting somthing on wikipedia on behalf of a band, its still spam. I cant see any way that this band qualifies for inclusion based on WP:MUSIC. Steel Thistle Youth Pipe Band placed in the world championships this year (though as a novice juvinile band) so technically they're in. We don't have a set criteria for this as of now, so if you object to their inclusion feel free to nominate that article for WP:AFD,and I would probably support it. You might even be able to WP:PROD it, if the original author doesn't look at it often. Even though the Epping Forest Pipe Band doesn't fit into wikipedia, you could probably add it to this wiki or find another bagpipe related wiki to put the article on. I personally thank the original author of the text for lisencing under GFDL, because thats really cool. I should also remind you that I don't acctually have any power to undelete or unprotect that page because I am not an admin. Thank you. Musaabdulrashid 04:50, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
I noticed that you cite the WP:MUSIC article. As far as I understand it, the Epping Forest Pipe Band would qualify for a Wikipedia entry under "Has been the subject of a half hour or longer broadcast on a national radio network" as well as "Has gone on an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one large or medium-sized country, reported in notable and verifiable sources" as The Epping Forest Pipe Band, as the article pointed out, have done both of these. The Epping Forest Pipe Band also "Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable" as there are multiple former Scotts Guard Pipe Band members which are now members of The Epping Forest Pipe Band. Would The Epping Forest Pipe Band be more worthy of an article if they placed in a Pipe Band Competition?
Thank you very much for your ongoing help in this matter
By the way, I thought you got voted in as an admin?
File:Scarlettanager99.jpg | Hello, MusaAbdulRashid, and thank you for the support on my recent RfA. The final tally was 72/1/0, and I have now been entrusted with the mop. Info on Islamophobic group
Hello,
What follows are the thoughts, expressed in their own words, and in the 'protest signs', of the obscure, very small, but very vocal 'activist group' known as "Protest Warrior".
"What's becoming clear is how the religion of Islam is addicted to war and mayhem. Not a radical minority, not a rogue sect, but its very essence is about submission and sacrifice and proving your worth by worshipping death in this life to gain a paradise of orgies and drunkenness. Their entire history is of warfare, and any accomplishments of their so-called Golden Age has been proven to be merely parasitic off the cultures they've conquered and reduced to dhimmi servitude. That every country under sharia is corrupt, belligerent, desolate and barbaric obviously gives them no pause, except to constantly drive them into further psychotic rage as they refuse to ever accept any responsibility for their conditions. They are akin to the powers in Orwell's 1984; there must always be an enemy. It's no surprise that women are treated like property in these countries as that's the only way Muslim men can feed their egos, to dominate others rather than ever actually produce something."
Kfir Alfia and Alan Lipton, founders of "Protest Warrior"
Their 'protest signs'...
I thought you might be interested in this group's sentiments. They are currently very actively editing their own article on Wiki and there is a lot of 'group think'. Perhaps you might want to become involved in the editing and discussion process on that page. If you do, please don't vandalize, and try to remain civil. Should you not want to involve youself, please forgive my intrusion.

- Thank you, but I dont really think POV articles are that much of a threat. We should really just try to trim down the extensive amount of quotes in the article and increase the criticism. It seems to be notible anyway. thanks. Musaabdulrashid 16:31, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Long-Overdue RfA Thanks from Alphachimp
Thanks for your support in my not-so-recent RfA, which was successful with a an overwhelmingly flattering and deeply humbling total of 138/2/2 (putting me #10 on the RfA WP:100). I guess infinite monkey theorem has been officially proven. Chimps really can get somewhere on Wikipedia.
With new buttons come great responsibility, and I'll try my best to live up to your expectations. If you need assistance with something, don't hesitate to swing by my talk page or email me (trust me, I do respond :)). The same goes for any complaints or comments in regard to my administrative actions. Remember, I'm here for you. Yenta Claus
Article was edited numerous times and all objections were addressed. Web sources were added to the article and linked. Not a lot of info on the web but there are sites which are unrelated to each other and in diverse areas referencing the Yenta Claus character that appear to confirm it. There is the emergence of Jewish Holiday Mythical Characters and one of them is Yenta Claus. The new info includes a play written by a Pace University Professor where Yenta Claus is Santa's wife! [1] You all are sure making me work hard!

- Thank you for your enthusiasm on this topic, but individual talk pages are not really the appropriate place to discuss AfDs that are in progress. If you just write this on the AfD entry, I'm sure everyone who is interested will see it. Musaabdulrashid 05:47, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Other pipe bands
Hi there; I left a message at the discussion board of Pipe band which I think is relevant. Could you give your opinion there? Thanks! Tonyjeff 01:58, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
RE: Anti-Semitism in the 21st Century (please reply on my talk)
Hi there. By my comment I meant that the article was going to be kept - AfD isn't about what happens afterwards, only to decide whether it will be deleted or not. Since the result was redirect, the best thing to do would be to blank the page and replace with a redirect, and undo your copy/paste movement. Hope this makes sense. —Xyrael / 11:35, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Great, glad that got sorted. —Xyrael / 15:54, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
