Image copyright problem with Image:LoranCoverage.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:LoranCoverage.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. - CrazyRussian talk/contribs/email 15:50, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Hi. I'm looking at your recent edit to Podded engine and can't quite parse This [unusual] placement utilizes the Coandă effect in lower minimum flight speed and increase STOL ability. I'm OK up until "in lower minimum flight speed", where the sentence falls apart. Did you leave some words out? I was going to fix it, but I wasn't quite sure what you were trying to say. -- RoySmith (talk) 08:17, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Biplane article
Sorry, but something about that sentence grates! I can see why you first put it in - perhaps we do need something right up at the top to indicate that the biplane wing offered advantages, which were gradually whittled away as aeroplanes became faster and structural techniques better (although that's well covered enough below!) Anyway I have inserted yet another "replacement" sentence to try to make the point in a slighting more elegant way.

Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 22:08, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
Image on Wikipedia article on "Cessna 150"--you have submitted my image without asking for my permission
Dear Kitplane01:
I notice that my image is on the Wikipedia article for Cessna 150, submitted by you, without my permission nor any credit given to me.
I am the person who owned this airplane when the picture was taken. This image of my Cessna 150's instrument panel was captured by me on September 13, 2003. The image you have uploaded was located on my website where I was offering my airplane for sale. You should have noted at the bottom of each and every page of my website, http://n4846x.com [1], the following copyright statement:
"Designed by Thomas Mahoney Jr., November, 2003. All photographs that I have taken belong to me and permission must be obtained from me prior to using them for any purpose other than your personal interest in purchasing my airplane. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!"
All you had to do was ask for my permission in the first place and I would have graciously helped.
Your cooperation in rectifying this matter is requested. Please contact me via "Email this user" to discuss options. I would have emailed you, however, you declined to have the option to be emailed through the Wikipedia.

Mali Military
Hey :) Nice to meet u. Thanks for the compliment on the Military history of the Mali Empire page. I realize that compliment came way back in 08. I just been real busy. The Mali Empire is my passion. I recently added some more stuff to it. I want to make it as good as the Military history of the Assyrian Empire page. Still a work in progress tho. Anywho, you are right as far as the medieval context (it's usually just a European period). However, many scholars I've come across refer to a Medieval African period roughly between 1250-1800 (see Roland Oliver). The date is sometimes pushed earlier (1000-1800), but it basically refers to the period between the wholesale adoption of iron technology in Africa and the start of European colonialism. Others consider Africa's "medieval" period to coincide with the replacement of archaeological records (pyramids and tombs) for literary records (arabic texts and such) up to colonialism. That would place the period from like 500-1800. Doesn't really matter to me, frankly. But its cool having someone to have this discussion with. Please feel free to contribute (my fingers are killing me and i'm going blind on googlebooks, lol). HollaScott Free (talk) 18:42, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Image permission problem with Image:LoranCoverage.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:LoranCoverage.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sv1xv (talk) 07:51, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
