help me-helped I have requested comments from others at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Persecution_of_Hindus#Request_for_comments. How do I ask others for help without being pulled up for canvassing (I've already read the matter at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment)? The mob killed many Hindus in and around the temple and so, I want that section restored.—Khabboos (talk) 04:56, 24 February 2014 (UTC) |

:WP:RFC and notifications at community places, such as WikiProjects, fall within the appropriate means of gathering community participation as explained at WP:CANVASS. Where you will draw problems in terms of canvassing would be to notify individuals at places where you know or even believe would benefit only one side of the discussion. I would strongly discourage you to notify people off-Wikipedia. You will also need to ensure that when you notify people that you do not present your own argument with out equally and fairly presenting the other side. Generally people avoid this by simply notifying people that a discussion regarding a certain topic is taking place and do not mention your own preference of the situation. Your RFC borderlines on this. <span style="font-size: 13px arial; color: #3366FF;">Mkdw</span>talk 05:28, 24 February 2014 (UTC) |

Hello Khabboos, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to :Sectarianism in Pakistan has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here. |
|||
::If the user keeps it up just go to admin noticeboard with a history of the issues. They will deal with it there.--Inayity (talk) 20:38, 25 January 2014 (UTC) |

*You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here. |
|||
== Khabboos, you are invited to the Teahouse == |
|||
*Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research. |
|||
*Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste. |
|||
*If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. |
|||
*In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow. |
|||
*Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. |
|||
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. <!--Template:uw-copyright-new--> <span style="background:white;color:LightSeaGreen">S</span><span style="background:white;color:DodgerBlue">M</span><span style="background:white;color:LightSeaGreen">S</span> Talk 19:02, 11 March 2014 (UTC) |

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at :Hindu Kush. If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. :Did you read the edit I made at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_kush#Origin_of_name? What is wrong with it? If you look at my talk page you will see that I have an archiving bot set up. You will see that the bot is also set up on some article talk pages - e.g. Talk:Salafi movement. You might want to try experimenting with this feature on your own talk page. If things are archived by a bot, it takes all the heat out of their being archived. A tag has been placed on :Sachar Committee Report requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.academia.edu/567602/Economics_of_Education_Crucial_Concerns_by_Vibhuti_Patel. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. |
|||
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. |
|||
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. <!-- Template:Db-copyvio-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> Darkness Shines (talk) 15:56, 22 March 2014 (UTC) |

Hi Khabboos. It may be useful to read some basic Wiki-policies: WP:RS and WP:NPOV. Also, it may be good to inform you that the western and the Indian understanding of Hinduism may be quite divergent. Many Indian editors have a "traditional" point of view on Hinduism and its history, and may be shocked to find out how western academics "tear apart" their sacdred narrative. While westerners may be shocked by what they perceive as a "closed mindset" and a lack of critical attitude. Wikipedia depends on WP:RS - typically academic sources, which may not intend to hurt religious feelings, but nevertheless approach Hinduism from a scientific point of view, analyzing its history and content, questioning "eternal truths".<p> |
|||
These different approaches lead very often to disputes, and may easily escalate. No easy solution here, except for: stay cool, stay friendly, use the talk page, and use WP:RS. and don't be afraid to really research topics, and to read serious literature. But, then, be also prepared to meet points of view which may be discomforting. Good luck, and all the best, <font size="2"><span style="font-family:Forte;color:black">Joshua Jonathan</span></font> -<font size="3"><span style="font-family:Monotype Corsiva;color:black">Let's talk!</span></font> 19:25, 9 February 2014 (UTC) |

Hello Khabboos. I suggest you withdraw your AE request, since it's not in the required format (see top of that page). Moreover, User:AcidSnow is not in the log as having been notified under WP:ARBIP. This means that action against AcidSnow could not be taken under the discretionary sanctions. I have looked at your arbitration request which is likely to be declined. You are probably better off opening up a WP:Request for comment on the article talk page to settle the content issue. * Khabboos, your topic ban was after community discussion. You are making an appeal using the same argument that was declined in the enforcement action. By making that appeal in that manner, you're risking further additional sanctions. You'd be wise to follow the topic ban process - edit outside that area for at least 3 months, make significant, positive contributions and have positive interactions with others. In 3 months, if you've done the above, then appeal. Right now you risk having your ability to appeal removed. :::::: I don't know the history of your topic ban, but if you were to exercise the same types of behavior (which got you topic banned) in articles about other nations, then the ban could be extended to the subject, regardless of nation. Topic bans usually include mention of the subject, even on one's own talk page. It would be the behavior, not just the nations, which would be the target of the topic ban. Revision as of 15:03, 4 July 2014
I have requested comments from others at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Persecution_of_Hindus#Request_for_comments. How do I ask others for help without being pulled up for canvassing (I've already read the matter at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment)? The mob killed many Hindus in and around the temple and so, I want that section restored.—Khabboos (talk) 04:56, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
- WP:RFC and notifications at community places, such as WikiProjects, fall within the appropriate means of gathering community participation as explained at WP:CANVASS. Mkdwtalk 05:28, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

March 2014
Hello Khabboos, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Sectarianism in Pakistan has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. SMS Talk 19:02, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

Copying citations from other articles
You said at Talk:Terrorism in Pakistan#Reverts by Smsarmad that you had copied citations from other articles. If you do this, you still have to check that the citations are valid. This means that the citations have to be: 1. Relevant. 2. Back the material you are providing them as sources for. 3. If they are internet links, they have to work at the time you post them.--Toddy1 (talk) 21:14, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
Archiving bot
If you look at my talk page you will see that I have an archiving bot set up. You will see that the bot is also set up on some article talk pages - e.g. Talk:Salafi movement. You might want to try experimenting with this feature on your own talk page. If things are archived by a bot, it takes all the heat out of their being archived. You can adjust the parameters of the archiving bot as desired - I sometimes change the parameters on the one on my talk page depending on circumstances.--Toddy1 (talk) 21:04, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Sachar Committee Report
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Sachar Committee Report requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
Formal mediation has been requested
The Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Anti-Hinduism". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 29 March 2014.
Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.

Hello, I'm Smsarmad. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Hinduism in Pakistan seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. Arbitration enforcement
Here I warned you that the next time I caught you making crap up this would happen. Darkness Shines (talk) 15:59, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
Arbitration enforcement topic ban: Islam in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan
The following sanction now applies to you:
You are topic-banned (see WP:TBAN) from the topic of Islam as related to India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
You have been sanctioned for the reasons provided in response to this arbitration enforcement request.
This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/India-Pakistan#Standard discretionary sanctions and, if applicable, the procedure described at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions for that decision. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.
You may appeal this sanction using the process described here. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. Sandstein 05:45, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
You are also warned that further misconduct related to the proper use of sources may result in additional sanctions. Sandstein 05:45, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
To clarify, this means Islam related to any one of these countries, not necessarily all of them. Sandstein 05:52, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Khabboos, your topic ban was after community discussion. I'd remove it quickly if I were you DP 09:21, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- O.K., thank you Sir!—Khabboos (talk) 09:29, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Can you please explain to me what all articles I'm topic banned from (none of the links provided by Sandstein show me that). Can I post on the Talk page of those articles?—Khabboos (talk) 09:32, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Please also let me know if these references for 'forced conversions' are acceptable to be added to other articles (both citations mention 'forced conversions')?: <ref>Memoir of the Emperor Timur (Malfuzat-i Timuri) Timur's memoirs on his invasion of India; describes in detail the massacre of Hindus, forced conversions to Islam and the plunder of the wealth of Hindustan (India). - Khabboos - "You are topic-banned (see WP:TBAN) from the topic of Islam as related to India, Pakistan and Afghanistan." This means that if you write anything about Islam or about Moslems in those countries, on any article or talk page, you will be blocked and your edits reverted. This includes persecution of people, rape, riots, refugees, forcible conversion... anything. So consequently, you cannot continue posting hate statements about Moslems as discussed in your post of 09:40, 26 March 2014. It is all explained at WP:TBAN.
- Which means I can edit the articles on Hinduism, Anti-Hinduism and Persecution of Hindus, as long as I don't write about muslims and avoid OR, right? What about the article on Hinduism in Pakistan?—Khabboos (talk) 22:01, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
Request for mediation rejected
The request for formal mediation concerning Anti-Hinduism, to which you were listed as a party, has been declined. To read an explanation by the Mediation Committee for the rejection of this request, see the mediation request page, which will be deleted by an administrator after a reasonable time. Please direct questions relating to this request to the Chairman of the Committee, or to the mailing list. For more information on forms of dispute resolution, other than formal mediation, that are available, see Wikipedia:Dispute resolution.

Reminder to administrators: In March 2010, ArbCom adopted a procedure prohibiting administrators "from reversing or overturning (explicitly or in substance) any action taken by another administrator pursuant to the terms of an active arbitration remedy, and explicitly noted as being taken to enforce said remedy, except: (a) with the written authorization of the Committee, or (b) following a clear, substantial, and active consensus of uninvolved editors at a community discussion noticeboard (such as WP:AN or WP:ANI). If consensus in such discussions is hard to judge or unclear, the parties should submit a request for clarification on the proper page." Administrators who reverse an arbitration enforcement block, such as this one, without clear authorisation will be summarily desysopped.

- Khabboos, As you must have noticed, I apologised above for mis-reading the terms of your ban. Although since you don't seem to be aware of it, a talk page comment can also be a ban violation; in this case it only wasn't because you spoke of malaysia. Vanamonde93 (talk) 04:16, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

- I don't know the history of your topic ban, but if you were to exercise the same types of behavior (which got you topic banned) in articles about other nations, then the ban could be extended to the subject, regardless of nation. Topic bans usually include mention of the subject, even on one's own talk page. It would be the behavior, not just the nations, which would be the target of the topic ban. So, be careful to avoid anything that is even similar to such behavior. If you do that, you should be okay. -- Brangifer (talk) 14:52, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
- Brangifer, I don't think my TBan can be extended unless I make another mistake - is it possible?—Khabboos (talk) 14:43, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
- Vanamonde93, I have not violated my TBan, so you can't report me for it (besides it was just a comment on a Talk Page). I did read your e-mail to me, but my wife suddenly wanted me to take her somewhere and so I couldn't reply to your e-mail then and it slipped my mind after that.
- The reason I posted this was that in the multitude of sanctions this user has received, I lost track of the precise nature of their t-ban, and thought they had violated it. I have not encountered them outside the India-Pakistan-Afghanistan area, because that is my primary overlap with them; so, I can't comment on their behaviour elsewhere. - Vanamonde93, should the topic ban be extended to apply to all such topics, regardless of country? -- Brangifer (talk) 06:28, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
