Given the ANI discussion currently open, and after looking through the edits you've made to BLP articles and to infoboxes, two issues have presented themselves and are clearly present with your edits: |
|||
#Your changes made to these areas have not cited reliable sources in-line, and are linking to information from Wikidata that is not verified (since no reliable sources have been cited with this information added). Many of these edits, because of this issue, have violated Wikipedia's policies on biographies of living people. |
|||
#Your repeated back-and-fourth reverts restoring content within infoboxes and on BLP articles after being removed by other editors due to the concerns outlined in the issue above have constituted edit warring, and your failure to properly discuss the matter properly on the relevant talk pages and help come to a consensus are not in compliance with Wikipedia's dispute resolution protocol. These edits and behaviors are disruptive to the project and add undue hardship among other editors who are trying to follow the policies and guidelines and properly discuss the issues at-hand. |
|||
Because of these issues outlined above, and due to the locations in which these issues have been taking place - I am giving you official alerts regarding edits made to biographies of living people, as well as edits made to the infoboxes of articles. If you continue to add content to these areas without citing reliable sources, and if you continue to edit war and fail to discuss the disputes on-hand and follow Wikipedia's dispute resolution protocol, sanctions will be applied and enforced that are necessary to stop the disruption and violations of policy, and allow for an acceptable and collaborative editing environment in these topic and content areas. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask them by participating in the active ANI discussion currently open. You can navigate to the exact discussion by clicking here. Thank you. Don't be immature
You have been told before (above) that you shouldn't add wikidata boxes to articles so please stop. IWI (chat) 23:57, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Kennyalley spamming wikidata. IWI (chat) 00:28, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
Please stop your addition of Wikidata infoboxes, as they may be inaccurate. IWI (chat) 12:09, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
- please stop reverting infoboxes with accurate information in them, and edit wikidata to improve information accuracy. Kennyalley (talk) 17:13, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Johnbod: Stop your edit warring. Consensus has dictated that we don't use Wikidata infoboxes anymore. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. IWI (chat) 17:16, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
- [citation needed], the link, you directed me to read, does not demonstrate a consensus. your strongly held POV about infoboxes, tends to lead you to make false statements, so you will need to demonstrate a quote and citation. Kennyalley (talk) 20:00, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Johnbod: Stop your edit warring. Consensus has dictated that we don't use Wikidata infoboxes anymore. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. IWI (chat) 17:16, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
That wasn’t me who directed you there for one thing. Just use a normal infobox and stop this. It’s so time consuming. IWI (chat) 13:40, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
- you made yet another false statement, about that discussion. your whiney appeal to admins could not find a consensus for what you are doing. stop making false statements; stop leaving messages on this talk page. Kennyalley (talk) 20:08, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
This message was not left by me so no, I did not make a false statement. That is the second time you have accused me of being deliberately deceptive falsely. Please read our personal attacks policy. IWI (chat) 00:15, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
- you want to meat puppet for johnbod, you can own it; you clearly stated: "Johnbod Stop your edit warring. Consensus has dictated that we don't use Wikidata infoboxes anymore."[1] - that is a false statement; you will not impose your out of consensus views by hounding. Kennyalley (talk) 09:15, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, that is a false statement; I was unaware, although "no consensus" does not mean you can spam them everywhere without discussions. Also, don’t accuse someone of meatpuppetry as it is harmful to the discussion. IWI (chat) 14:33, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
- Kennyalley, please do not accuse other editors of violating policy unless you have definitive evidence or proof showing that they're doing so. Doing so is uncivil and is not okay. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 14:44, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. ANI notice
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The discussion regarding edits that you're involved with can be found by clicking here. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:53, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
December 2018
Your recent editing history at Anna Anni shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:48, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

Notice of discretionary sanctions
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have recently shown interest in living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
