On the bible
I am not of the opinion that the bible itself is homophobic. I think posting that could be a little bit much. Just giving you a heads up-Rainbowofpeace (talk) 22:42, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- I plan on supporting that with sources. What is the biggest source of homophobia and the biggest objection to gay rights? Religion. If i leave that out of the article then there's no logic as it is the primary motive in a lot of the examples i have. It's not just Christianity though, i just wrote "the Bible" rather than "Religion". Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 16:25, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
Ok here is my reasoning why I think this is not a good idea. Out of 32,000 verses in the Protestant and Catholic bible only 5 mention homosexuality directly at all. Out of that only two speak of it negatively. If you look only at the Jewish Bible this goes down even further. Also please see about the relationship between David and Johnathan and the Book of Ruth both have been percieved at times to be gay love stories. I believe the Bible and other religious texts are often seen as homophobic when they were extremely progressive for their time period although not by todays standards.-Rainbowofpeace (talk) 04:04, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
I really think you're off base with the Bible being mentioned there. There are a couple of reasons. The Bible places a very small emphasis on homosexuality. There is also a large difference between thinking homosexuality is wrong/sinful and being homophobic. Homophobia comes from a perception of the Bible, not the Bible itself. If you're dying to include it, you'll need a dozen sources. Ryan Vesey 04:14, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
Well I don't fully agree with that. I think that the way the Bible is used could be on there but not the Bible itself especially since the Bible's view of homosexuality changes from book to book.-Rainbowofpeace (talk) 04:32, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- It's not a list of events in the media and offensive medias, it's going to become an article on "Homophobia in the media". Religion is the main cause of this so obviously there would be links to either similar articles or points made linking Religion. Removing these would leave no article. Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 08:36, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
Well I would like to make the remarkable claim that the Bible isn't only not homophobic but a pro-gay document. It has very famous Gay characters and is absolutely one of the most importants documents not only in attacking homosexuality but supporting it. Read the parts I told you about.-Rainbowofpeace (talk) 10:20, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- That doesn't in any way change the fact that people use excerpts from it to attack gays Rainbow. It was at one point used to back sexism and slavery because people interpret it how they like. If even the Pope interprets it one way then i'm pretty sure that trumps anyone elses interpretation. Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 10:34, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- And for the earlier argument of 32000 verses, you'll find none mention homosexuality at all, it's interpreted that way is all. It's widely believed Sodom and Gomorrah is a reference to paedophilia, instead of being gay. Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 10:36, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- I'd just like to throw my two bits in.. As someone who is not only a Christian, but is bicurious, I always get very upset when people(especially churches that are supposed to be sooooo great, accepting, and loving) are homophobic. I have left multiple churches for this reason. One of them, I was in a teen Bible Study group, and we were saying that we love everyone that is Christian. I don't remember how, but I brought up the fact that there are religious gay people, yet what the church is saying is that we only love the true Christians. I got cut off in the middle of my sentence and practically screamed at for 15 minutes about how gay people cant be religious, its a sin, we shouldn't love them because of it. Sorry, but I thought we were supposed to love the sinner, not the sin. Anyway, now that I remember why I am replying at all, I'll come back to my point. There are different factions in every religion. Some believe homosexuality is a sin, some don't. Some believe jihad means taking on any intruders, some don't. Some believe in rebirth on different levels, some don't. I would think that, even though the Bible is the most widely cited book for an anti-gay argument, just saying religious sources, or religion, or whatever, would be more unbiased sounding. - That's terrible but unfortunately it's how these cults work. You obey the rules or you're out. They ignore the rues which suit them and sit there in mixed fibres, eating meat on fridays judging others. It's an inconvenient truth that you're unlikely to find many churches welcoming of gays and lesbians. Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 19:44, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- Very true very true. Sadly God's love isnt our love. They quote the sodom and gomorrah, but dont wanna hear the part where Jesus loved EVERYONE. Bad redirects
I saw several bad redirects in your user space. Generally, we try to avoid redirecting from user space to main space anyway, although this was subpages and not main or talk, but wanted to point to them since they are listed under bad redirects.[1] Dennis Brown - 2¢ © Join WER 00:53, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, I think they are just pointing to a non-existing user, but you get the idea. I normally just go in and start deleting them, but figured it was better to just point them out since you aren't a newb. Dennis Brown - 2¢ © Join WER 00:55, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
- I don't recognise any of those Dennis...You have the right user right? Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 07:37, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yup, right user, I liked directly off of those. Someone else must have made then then deleted them soon after and I just caught the inbetween (that list was just recently updated, so doesn't show them now). Directed to something along the lines of "user: Born this way", if memory serves me right. But no biggie, they are gone now, I just didn't want to nuke them without seeing if there was a reason. - Dennis, i don't recall ever seeing these article names on Wikipedia or linking to them and so you're free to delete them. Born This Way Foundation was a redirect someone else created after the article was moved from my user space back to article space though. Thanks for bringing this to my attention although i'm not entirely sure i understand it. And thanks for assuming i wasn't a noob/newbie =P Thanks again ツ Jenova20 (email) 14:58, 5 October 2012 (UTC)

Manual of Style about collapsing tables
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are not aware of the Manual of Style about collapsing tables. Here's the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Scrolling_lists_and_collapsible_content 70.253.75.84 (talk) 03:56, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- As i said before i plan on adding another (at least one) poll that is currently in my sandbox being worked on. The Manual of Style justifies the hiding of these and the readability is served better when a third of the article isn't visible unwieldy tables people may not wish to scroll past - that's why it was hidden and why it was discussed on the talk page. Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 09:12, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- Planning on doing something in the future does not justify a violation of the Manual of Style today. You stated your intention about 2 weeks ago but nothing has been done. Wikipedia editing does not proceed under the assumption that problematic material may be added in the future. Instead, Wikipedia articles are written based on the content they currently have. The polling section as it currently exists does not need to be collapsed. That is the beginning and end of the considerations. 70.253.79.10 (talk) 15:09, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- There's no violation of the Manual of Style. How about creating an account before your IP address is blocked per your current edit warring, POV pushing and WP:SYNTHESIS violations on over 10 articles. Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 15:17, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- From the Manual of Style since you failed to read or understand it: "Collapsible sections or cells may be used in tables that consolidate information covered in the main text...." The polling table does not "consolidate information covered in the main text." The polling table presents information not provided elsewhere in the article. As for whether I register, how about minding your own business? There's no Wikipedia policy against anonymous IP editing. Regards. 70.253.79.10 (talk) 15:23, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- There are multiple policy violations involved in your case, including bad faith, WP:SYNTHESIS, WP:Edit war, WP:3RR etc. All you have or are currently still violating. And you're making banning you easier with your attitude here. So Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 15:29, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Re: Android Version History
Hi Jenova, The way the data is split (by Android) is by API level[2]. 4.2 is indeed a new API level, but it hasn't figured into the distribution yet, because it hasn't been released. But when we get next month's data, it will have a separate entry (and a new color). --Fjmustak (talk) 09:35, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
- If you decide which colour soon then let me know and i can undo my revert and recolour the table the same. Thanks, off to apologise to someone now ツ Jenova20 (email) 09:47, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I do not decide the colors... Microsoft Excel does. I haven't looked into the possibility of manually selecting the colors. I also hope that when I add a new category the colors aren't reshuffled! I'll play around with it a bit. --Fjmustak (talk) 11:15, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
- Excel chooses? CHEATER! I thought you were choosing those Fjmustak...I look forward to your next addition anyway. Thanks and have a nice day ツ Jenova20 (email) 11:23, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
- I've figured out how to manually select the colors. If you'd like to create a custom palette, and choose your own, go ahead, and send me a list of RGB codes and I can use them in the chart (if you also want to include colors for future versions, that would be nice). --Fjmustak (talk) 08:40, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
- Excel chooses? CHEATER! I thought you were choosing those Fjmustak...I look forward to your next addition anyway. Thanks and have a nice day ツ Jenova20 (email) 11:23, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
- I'll leave that for you to decide mr, i just thought we could do with something less random. like different greens for gingerbread, rather than three different colours. Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 02:16, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
Hey Jenova-- thanks for your responses. Just wanted to give you a heads-up that it might actually take me longer to get an editor review back to you-- I've had some sudden news that will require me to be out of town for a while and away from Wikipedia. I'll likely get back to you mid next week. My apologies for the wait. I, Jethrobot drop me a line (note: not a bot!) 11:20, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
- I've waited 9 months, i can wait a bit longer Jethrobot. Have fun ツ Jenova20 (email) 11:23, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

LGBT rights in African countries
Hi, Jenova20. Even though I don't think you were directly involved in the specific dispute in question, you created the edit warring submission regarding the IP user who was involved in editing conflicts in various Africa-related articles, and Psychonaut and I commented on that with regard to our dealing with the user in various article on LGBT rights in African countries. Hence, I'm letting you know that I mentioned you in a notice I've submitted to the dispute resolution noticeboard here. —Largo Plazo (talk) 14:19, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
- I'm fine with that...but i have no idea what i'm supposed to do...Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 14:43, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
- No obligation, I just added you in case you felt you had any insight to contribute! —Largo Plazo (talk) 14:44, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

ANI and a treat
Unless someone beats me to it, I'm going to start an ANI as soon as I get caught up with some tasks IRL. This has gone on long enough and the point is not being heard.
Meanwhile, enjoy this delicious chocolate dessert. But I suggest not sharing it with trolls, as it seems to give them endless energy. - MrX 14:56, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
- While you were making this, i was making a final warning on Talk:Homophobia. Thank you very much for the dessert, i'm going to forgo the chocolatey goodness on this occasion and instead prepare to chuck it at another editor next time he posts. Thank you very much MrX, i appreciate the treat and you have my full support whatever you do. Have a nice day/evening! ツ Jenova20 (email) 15:04, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

Jenova20, I award this LGBT barnstar to you for all the work you've done to improve gay studies on wikipedia with little recognition. Perhaps you should work to take Birmingham Gay Village to GA! Rcsprinter (natter) @ 10:24, 18 November 2012 (UTC) |
- Thank you very much for that Rcsprinter =D
- I'd love to get the gay village to GA but it will take me a lot more work. You're free to ever help out or just give constructive criticism
- Thanks again and have a nice day/evening ツ Jenova20 (email) 11:21, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
AN/I discussion
Hello, I am sending this message to all the people I judge to be principal actors in the incident being discussed at this AN/I subpage. The discussion there has already become a bloated re-run of the dispute between you all at the original article talk page. You have made your points there and at AN/I and no further good can be gained by continuing to rehash old arguments. As an outsider, I have to say the only impression this continued argument gives is of all parties being unable to resist trying to get in the last word. Not every post by the "other side" needs your response. Your dignity and the cause you are arguing for, suffers with every further response. Please leave the AN/I field free now for other editors to respond. Please note I am leaving the exact same note on a number of people's talk page - not everybody has been equally active so please excuse me if you feel my tone here feels undeservedly critical. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 11:55, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
- Completely understandable. Thanks for the wake up call ツ Jenova20 (email) 12:10, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
- And thank you for taking my note in such a friendly way! Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 12:13, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
- Any time! I need to get back to actual editing anyway. The ANI consumes too much time to follow. Have a nice day/evening ツ Jenova20 (email) 12:14, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
- Jenonva, that's a good path to take. If this pattern persists as some suspect it might, an RFC/U is the next step. Hopefully it won't come to that. Ta. little green rosetta(talk)

Because
Because I thought you might be tired of tea, and a hot drink is always nice while one is poring over the dictionary. (Sorry, couldn't help myself.) In all seriousness, thanks for making WP a less stodgy, more interesting, friendlier place. Rivertorch (talk) 06:47, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

Re: Clio
It is for linking to a specific section in the article only by adding the anchor into link instead of the section title. In case the titles of the sections might change in the future, linking to the anchor will still bring the screen to that specific section. See Template:Anchor. Jenova20, I see you doing consistent good work and putting up with some professional POV pushers. You hold your ground and act diplomatic even when provoked. Thank you for the good work you do. Keep it up. Cluetrainwoowoo (talk) 04:30, 1 December 2012 (UTC) |
