Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia! In case you are not already aware, an article to which you have recently contributed, Climatic Research Unit hacking incident, is on article probation. A detailed description of the terms of article probation may be found at Wikipedia:General sanctions/Climate change probation. Also note that the terms of some article probations extend to related articles and their associated talk pages.

Wikipedia is not a webforum
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use talk pages for inappropriate discussion, as you did at Talk:Feminism, you may be blocked from editing. --Orange Mike | Talk 16:27, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
- Overly political correct WP administaror? No wonder when one takes a look of your messy userpage full of whistles & bells. Try to keep your brain, tho, man. And I promise to equal that. --J. Sketter (talk) 17:15, 26 October 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 6
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Phil Taylor (darts player), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rob Cross (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:18, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
Paige Patterson
Hi J. Sketter. I see you've been editing Wikipedia for some time now, though haven't edited very much. I hope you don't mind me pointing out how very difficult it can be working on articles that fall under general editing sanctions, especially biographical information of living persons. Such articles require very strict adherence to Wikipedia's content policies. They are not a venue for casual editing, nor a welcoming environment for learning Wikipedia policy.
I assume you're unaware of all that has recently been reported about Paige Patterson. I haven't been keeping up, choosing to wait until the dust settles and journalists have had time to review all that's happened. If you want to wade into it at this point, please work from clearly independent and reliable sources to minimize the likelihood of violating content policies. --Ronz (talk) 20:14, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, thanks. I've been in Wikipedia quite a long time. Not so many edits in the English one thou. And no, me neither follows keenly Pattersson case, but merely text around that appears clearly questionable. Like text that was before my edit here[1] I will re-read this message and you edit summary with a thought . As a non-native English speaker and with the aforementioned relative inexperience of this wiki I take the leisure to ponder over things a bit. It's always possible I get too angry to outright lying editors and as a consequence overdo it some way. --J. Sketter (talk) 13:37, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

Discretionary Sanctions Alerts
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in (a) GamerGate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
