Per WP:REPEATLINK, please stop adding multiple links to the same page within the article, as you are on Steyr AUG. Hello again, as I mentioned in my edit summary, if you wish to use the word "cartrdige" in that way, then you need to make sure that you are using that same format throughout the entire article for uniformity. ::I'm afraid I can't in good faith help with this, as I believe it is poor grammar, and can't find another instance of that wording on any other articles I have watched or just checked (including several British guns like the Pattern 1914 Enfield, Ross rifle, Bren light machine gun, Webley Revolver, and British Bull Dog revolver, just to name a few of the ones I just checked)... the proper wording should either be "chambered in/for 556" or "chambered in/for *the* 556 cartridge". I can't find anywhere else a regular usage of "chambered in 556 cartridge", British English or not. I will not undo your changes to that wording on this article anymore, as that would verge on edit warring, but just a heads up if anyone else comes through to fix it in the future. Also, for uniformity, you need to change each and every instance in the entire article (the lede sentence and the "chambered in 9mm and 40" in the next sentence after your instance were my examples from the edit summary that I see you did not change), because we can't be choosing to be correct and incorrect in the same article just to save two instances of your version. - Adolphus79 (talk) 17:58, 3 May 2023 (UTC) |

OK--your rude response to Cullen328, one of our most respected administrators, the nonsensical invective to "do your own research", and the block evasion, all that is enough for me to lengthen your block to a full week. As for that research, this is silly. You're blathering about some magazine or something, and now you drop a company link in here as if a. that is an acceptable secondary source and b. you had provided that source in the article already--which of course you didn't. One more time: when you insert information, source it. It's that simple. And when you get reverted multiple times by multiple editors, stop. Insulting administrators will get you nowhere. :The Steyr AUG A1s, A2s, including the HBAR uses a proprietary polymer-translucent magazine. A3 variants later acquire an option to use Standard STANAG Magazines. So what you're telling me that any content displayed on the firearm's manufacturer's website is not credible? How silly is that. |

:::Correct by itself amounts to nothing on Wikipedia. Correct and properly referenced is wonderful. Allegedly correct and unreferenced is unacceptable, especially when your edits have been repeatedly challenged by multiple editors as unreferenced. Do the work and provide the references to reliable sources when you add content, or do not add the content. It is really quite simple. Plus if you've noticed that way I edit, I'll edit through the whole day. I can't just sit on one sitting and make all of the edits. I edit when I have the time. And sometimes it does take a while to find those 'reliable sources'. I don't add/delete things if they're not valid or correct. Either that comes from a first-hand source or secondary source. :::Answer me this, have you actually fired the AUG. Lay your hands on one? or simply just typing your way out of this. Get off your high horse mate. Some of them, if not most haven't even fired a rifle. More specially the AUG. I have fired this rifle, the Australian variant (F88). I know for a FACT that the magazine used, is a proprietary magazine, that is translucent, and holds 30-round and an optinal 42-rounds. A3 models however have gain the ability to accept STANDARD NATO Mags. That is a fact, you can research it if you want and I'll guarantee you that I am right on this. National varieties of English
Hello. In a recent edit to the page M240 machine gun, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 23:49, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 9
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Taurus SMT, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Blowback. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Wikipedia and copyright
Hello Guns & Glory, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Taurus SMT have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. All other images must be made available under a free and open license that allows commercial and derivative reuse to be used on Wikipedia.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 12:45, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
