Just so you know, your edit here on 17 April is largely to blame for the recent escalation of passions at Golan Heights. Seeing as you've become involved in some heated verbal exchanges on the Discussion page there, I think restoring the map you removed from the infobox will be welcomed all around as a positive contribution in an NPOV spirit. Give it some thought.—Biosketch (talk) 04:49, 17 May 2011 (UTC) |

::Thank you for your suggestion, but the problems on that page were not started by me, nor will they end with me. I do not intend to re-add an image I think adds nothing, but if you believe that will end the squabbling (in your dreams), you can restore it yourself.--[[ |

The da Vinci Barnstar | ||
This award is given to User:Gilabrand in recognition of all your imaginative and original photographs related to topics about Israel and Judaism, as can be seen on your user page. In particular, I was impressed by how many of these photographs enhance so many articles about people, places and things in Israel. Mazal Tov and may you be blessed to continue contributing to Wikipedia in this productive fashion for a long time to come. See Wikipedia:Barnstars: "The da Vinci Barnstar may be awarded to anyone who has enhanced Wikipedia through their technical work..." and you most certainly deserve it. Sincerely, IZAK (talk) 04:31, 8 January 2008 (UTC) |

I was going to give you the copyeditor's barnstar, but I then realized that would be shortchanging your many other valuable contributions to and helping out with Israel and Judaism related articles. Much appreciated! nadav (talk) 07:12, 18 June 2007 (UTC) |

Thanks
Hi Gilabrand, Thanks for all your contributions on the Israeli cuisine article over the past few months. I'm happy to see that it has been promoted to GA status and I'm sure that is in no small part due to your efforts! Best regards, --- Chefallen (talk) 19:41, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks
Thank you so much for the edits in Jewish wedding. I thought it would take years to make it a decent article, and you made it in a few minutes. Definitely this is a case where being WP:BOLD is the one and only solution ! --Licory (talk) 19:12, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
re Child
Thaks for this. I have this article on my watchlist and it seems to be a target for vandalism etc., so it's nice to see your good and useful contribution. Keep up the good work! Herostratus (talk) 17:32, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi, nice editing and picture-adding on this article. What are your thoughts on breaking off the cemetery into a separate article, such as Mount of Olives (Jewish cemetery), which would help us expand on the history of burials here? Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 08:03, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
Thank you
for the interesting etymological article you linked to in Emek Refaim. I have learnt something, for which I am grateful. RolandR (talk) 11:20, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Thank you
Thank you for this edit. I was going to do something similar last night, but was too tired when I got home, and had to go to bed. --NSH001 (talk) 06:28, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for reassessing Ayoob Kara. :) --Metallurgist (talk) 03:23, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
- Also, do you have any recommendations for how to improve it further?
Allar, Jerusalem
Please restore the original article name and open a move request. Thanks. Tiamuttalk 19:14, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
- Ahalan wasahalan, Tiamut. Haven't heard from you in a while. Hope all is well. About Allar, the article clearly states that it is 17 kilometers from Jerusalem, which puts it in the Jerusalem District. The only reason for adding anything to the village name is for disambiguation purposes. For that purpose, Allar (village) seems best but since you have done some nice work on the article, I'll leave that up to you.--Geewhiz (talk) 06:13, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- Ahlan fiki Gilabrand. I don't know which source says its 17km from Jerusalem so I've removed that bit and gone with Petersen's description which is simply southwest of Jerusalem. Palestinian villages depopulated in 1948 are generally disambiguated by including the name of the district they were located in without prefacing it by "District of..." - its too wordy. As a result, I've moved it back to the original title. I think I violated 1RR by doing so, but don't want to undo and create an even bigger mess, so I've asked at arbitration for advice on how to proceed. In the future, if you could open a discussion on the talk page before moving pages, that would be good. We could then avoid these back and forths altogether then. Take care, Tiamuttalk 08:48, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Please do not vandalize Wikipedia, do not remove maintenance tags, Avoid personal attacks and do not engage in Edit warring. You are committing one too many bad behavior in on go. And please take note that Wikipedia is not an advertisement platform. All information in it must be from A neutral point of view and must comply with Wikipedia notability guideline. Fleet Command (talk) 06:35, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- And please do not use statements like "you don't get to decide what to include in WP Israel"! It is in violation of Wikipedia:Ownership of articles and Wikipedia:Civility. Yes, I do get to decide what to include in what project as much as every other Wikipedian does. If you think my removal of the project was in error, just tell me why. I am listening. Fleet Command (talk) 06:53, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- Amazing how someone who has been on Wikipedia for so many years can be so clueless about writing and improving articles. Your edits to this article are clearly motivated by negativism. What a pity that rather than using your veteran editor skills for good, you are engaging in a ridiculous edit war. I see any attempt to bring solid source material and copyedit the article will be challenged by you for God knows what reason. Strange how some people seem to get their kicks.--Geewhiz (talk) 07:14, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- Please focus on the contents, not people. As for the article, per Wikipedia:Verifiability, there is nothing wrong with removing unreferenced statements that are tagged for three years since 2009. The advertisement issue has also been noted since 2007 in talk page. And if you don't know already, advertisement (with or without source) is not allowed in Wikipedia. Also I don't how you count using vague statement instead of precise ones copy-editing. This is the third time you are making personally-degrading comments on me. Make sure this your last.
