:If Gaydenver agrees to avoid anything related to Obama for the full duration of the block, I have no problem with another admin unblocking, though I don't think it really does any harm to leave the block on either (I'll take no action either way myself). The block was to prevent further editing to Barack Obama and the talk page for a short while, so if a verbal agreement to that effect replaces the block that's acceptable. Were it to be violated though I would suggest a longer block would be in order. --Bigtimepeace <small>| talk | contribs</small> 19:56, 26 August 2009 (UTC) |

Your reason here
below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. talkYou were warned repeatedly, and now your account has been blocked for 31 hours. When you are able to edit again, please do so in a collaborative fashion, respecting consensus and the views of other editors, and without edit warring, attacks on other editors, and generally disruptive editing. If you cannot do that this account will likely be blocked indefinitely. Editing on Wikipedia requires patience and a willingness to work with others—you did not exhibit those attributes today, and instead you wasted a lot of people's time because you refused to listen to what others were telling you. --Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 19:39, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:
Please unban me. People told me that I shouldn't write on the Barack Obama article so I listened. Now they have blocked me because they don't want me to write on the talk pages. This ban is completely wrong because I was trying to get Wikipedia to be as accurate as possible and not embellish the Barack Obama article. You see, he was a part time Senior Lecturer which is very distinguished. However, reporters are often inaccurate and some have referred to him as professor. This little detail between Professor and professor is often lost on the reader. Some people want to embellish his resume but the interests of Wikipedia should be more important than supporting a politician. I support Obama but I support accuracy in Wikipedia more. So please unban me and I will let those supporters win. Please don't try to show that you are powerful by refusing this polite request.
Decline reason:
Sorry, no. You don't even seem to be able to request an unblock without being insulting and argumentative. That won't work. --jpgordon::==( o ) 19:45, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
If you unban me, I will take a break from the Talk:Barack Obama page. Even Queen of Battle suggested that others step back and let the discussion continue until automatically archived. So banning me alone doesn't seem to go along with the general advice given by Queen of Battle. If you unban me, I'll fix up some other unrelated articles. Please do not torture me like this. Thank you.
Notes:
- In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
- Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:
{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=Please unban me. People told me that I shouldn't write on the Barack Obama article so I listened even without being banned. If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting
with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here
with your rationale:
