As I edit much in Middle East politics articles myself, I deeply appreciate the cool perseverance you have in editing sincerity and sanity into them, and in the same spirit advancing solutions on issues via talk pages, never mind all the political emotions and aggression around and often also thrown at you. -- 2A1ZA (talk) 15:22, 20 November 2016 (UTC) |
Origin of the Kurds
I see one of the reasons given by the IP was the use of predatory publishing sources. We certainly shouldn't be using them. Doug Weller talk 18:34, 5 May 2017 (UTC)

Urartu & Qadu
Hi,
You recently removed the citation regarding the link between Urartu and Qardu which is backed up by a recent academic source. I would like to know your opinion for further discussion. Here is the paper: A Reflection on Two Qurʾānic Words (Iblīs and Jūdī), with Attention to the Theories of A. Mingan, Journal of the American Oriental Society, Vol.124, pp.675-689, 2004.

July 2017
Hello, I'm Legacypac. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edits to Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently seemed less than neutral and has been removed at least three times. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Your repeated insertion of POV defamitory material about this group of people is not appreciated. Take the hint as various editors keep reverting you. If you try this again I will seek a topic ban against you for that page. Legacypac (talk) 19:40, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
After explaining why this criticism material is inappropriate, both here and on the article talk page, I’ve taken your repeated insertion of this material without a reliable source to the Administrator Notoce Board [1] asking for a topic ban against you. You are welcome to participate and plead your case in that discussion. Sorry to do this, but other editors should not have to keep removing the same inappropriate material over and over again. Syria/ISIL sanctions
Please read this notification carefully, it contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.
A community decision has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to the Syrian Civil War and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. The details of these sanctions are described here. All pages that are broadly related to these topics are subject to a one revert per twenty-four hours restriction, as described here.
General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.
