Please see where i have continued the unresolved [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents#Ejnogarb_and_culture-warring discussion at the admin noticeboards]. This insertion of non-neutral viewpoint into article mainspace really isn't proper. I appreciate hearing your viewpoint in discussions, and i respect everything you say on talkpages, you deserve the same opportunities to edit as all other people on wikipedia. But editing means keeping your viewpoint out of the main article space. |
You seem insistent on making these types of non-neutral edits in articles about homosexuality, promiscuity, same-sex marriage (e.g., Proposition 8), and this demonstrates a certain pattern. I don't care about what your real-life sexual or religious preferences are, i see them on your UserPage and i respect them as you deserve to be respected. But i don't think you should be using wikipedia as a soapbox to be pushing your religiosity and sexual conflicts. If you want to propagandize, please use your own webpage, or go to the appropriate online forums and blogs and discussion areas where your viewpoint can be shared unhindered. (Your viewpoint can be shared unhindered in the wiki talkpages but it can not be shoved into the article mainspace.) |
I don't know where you received the [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Ejnogarb&diff=next&oldid=280420945 police officer] training, and maybe it wasn't in a place such as California or America. But in America, in most places where police officers are found, they are required to undergo Sensitivity Training. If your userpage is to be believed-- and i certainly am making every Good Faith effort to take everything you say absolutely at face value-- then really i think i should suggest you consider the value of Sensitivity Training. If you would like to see how to remove heterosexism and bias from your edits, purely in the stylistic sense regarding language, you can read the [http://www.apastyle.org/sexuality.html recommended guidelines]. If you would like to remove heterosexism from the article mainspace, i would kindly ask you to discuss your edits on the talkpages before you boldly insert any more non-neutral viewpoints into those topics such as Prop 8, man having sex with men, homosexual civil rights, and all of the other places where we have been going around mopping up your improper insertions/deletions for the past week. I ask this not because of '''''my''''' own personal preferences, which are not relevant to the mainspace (although you obviously find them in the talkpages and on my userspace) i ask this because it is the only correct way to edit the encyclopedia. If you continue to fail to understand why your way of editing is being perceived as Non-Neutral, might i please recommend that you go to some friendly administrators and ask them if they can tutor you somehow? I bet there are friendly admins, possibly even some who go to your church, who would gladly help you learn how to comply with the neutrality issue. |
It is perhaps possible for all of the things you believe to have their place in this encyclopedia. It is perhaps impossible that they will be written in such a way as to reflect your personal viewpoint. That's the way it is for all of us editors. Sometimes i think articles are contrary to my personal values, but the only thing i can do is remove the bias, i can't insert my values into the article. The only thing i can do is challenge the bias by adding better information which is more neutral and stands up to good verification. I can't add my values into the article. |
If you are editing correctly, nobody would be able to guess which edits on those articles were performed by '''you'''. Your bias would become invisible, and only the neutral information would be in the edits. Feel free to put your bias all over your userspace, the talkpages, and anywhere else on the internet, but please just don't keep putting it into the neutral articles. Thank you. Further discussion of this would best be handled at the Administrators' boards and on the talkpages of any editors/admins who are willing to "adopt" you. |

I want you to ''enjoy'' your editing, i don't want you to feel like it has to be frustrated and conflicted. Just like we prefer not to have our civil rights mistreated, just as we desire to avoid having our sexuality frustrated, just as we wish to be as promiscuous or non-promiscuous as we might prefer-- so, too, it would be great to have our contributions respected rather than frustrated and conflicted. Your edits will not be frustrated if you follow the community consensus about neutrality. I hope you have a good weekend, i hope this is resolved in a way which makes you happier about editing on wikipedia.
