For someone with such a patronising and smug box above their talk page editing box you really ought to look to your own manners and behaviour a bit harder. If you make an edit and someone reverts it, you do not simply go back in and re-edit the changes back into the article. At that point you discuss things with the other editor, else revert wars start breaking out. I was just going to point out a trivial conflict over the naming of the drivers in the [[Brawn BGP 001]] results box, but coming here and seeing your "STOP! If you're a rare vandalizer." box I think you need to take a much harder look at how you relate to the community here. |

“ | Quote of the week: "Those who are successful never think about what if it goes wrong. If you're a baseball player, and you think about how you could miss the ball, as opposed to how you could hit the ball, you'd never hit the ball. Successful people always think about how they will achieve their goal, not how they will miss it." | ” |

Retirement
I can see that you've been engaged in a couple of disputes over the last few days, and that this has 'tipped you over the edge', so to speak. I advise you to take a break for a while and think about what has happened, as this is a drastic step to take. Remember to assume good faith; no-one is intentionally attacking you, or wishes to hurt your feelings, by disagreeing with your positions on certain issues. Furthermore, remember that Wikipedia itself isn't such a big deal (certainly not enough to get angry about), and that real life is much more important.
I hope that you will come back soon, as you clearly have a keen interest in Wikipedia and have done many helpful and useful things during your time here. If not, then I hope you have a nice time in your off-wiki life! Sincerely,--Diniz(talk) 22:08, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
- I somewhat agree with Diniz. Don't let the disputes lead to any drastic actions. A break is probably the best option, because it allows you to get the Wiki out of your mind for however long you seem fit before/if you return. Real life is much more important than this, and don't allow it to get you down in the real world. Getting involved with the WP:F1 newsletter was probably a good move, and I can only thank you for the invitation to become a contributor. Hope to see you around again. Cs-wolves(talk) 23:25, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm sorry to hear about your decision to retire, Chubb. It'll be a big loss for WP:F1 which you were very active in and also for Wikipedia in general. I always saw you as someone who stood by your friends no matter what happened. We are going to miss all of that. I hope you'll come back some day in the future. I agree with Diniz's and Cs-wolves's suggestion above to wait a bit and cool down, but then that's for you to decide. So, until we meet again (hopefully), good luck in real life. Chamal talk 01:14, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- I am equally sorry, Chubb. Please come back whenever you feel up to it - by no means should simple disputes be the only reason for your retirement. Think about it for a while, and you'll find that this community gives more than it takes. —La Pianista ♫ ♪ 02:45, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
It's already been said here but I'll repeat it: don't quit, but think about having some time off. I went through a hard FAC in January, and took a week off. I found that by the fourth day away all I wanted to do was get back and write another article and take it to FAC, but it really helped get me some perspective. I really hope we see you back, but if we don't, good luck, and I hope we see you in the MP4-34 some day. Apterygial 06:14, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- Please come back when you feel up to it, as your contributions have helped Wikipedia a lot. I would hate to see you leave. DeMoN2009 20:09, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, your contributions have helped Wikipedia a bit. Look through your contributions and think about the edits that other people might not have made. And really, I just wanted you to stay. DeMoN2009 16:35, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
wow....
Wow.... even though we don't know each other very well, I'm very sad your leaving and I'm surprised you haven't got an award for being a diligent user so here h ave this before you retire....

Good spot! I've sent the author a message asking if they would consider changing the licensing to CC-BY or CC-BY-SA. Fingers crossed!--Diniz(talk) 19:24, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Re:Monkey2funk(e)y
That's good! I seem to have a bug with Commons at the moment, which is preventing all of the images in commons:Category:2009 Australian Grand Prix from being displayed, so I can't tell if they've all been uploaded or not. No reply from cbc888 yet.--Diniz(talk) 14:33, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
