Greetings friend! Easton area here, in construction hell as you may have observed. Grew up in Westerville. I saw that someone was suggesting a merge for the Westerville Public Library article. I'm not sure if you knew, but there is a museum there that is quite valuable in our nation's history for the Anti-Saloon League. I've added a two sections to the article and cited all of my references. Please check it out if you have a chance and let me know if you have any further suggestions. Happy holidays! Saw that you added this category to Meher Baba. The Meher Baba editors are an emotional bunch, so it was quickly removed. I think it is worth preserving. I'll make an effort to include it by promoting it on the MB discussion page.--Nemonoman 16:18, 26 December 2006 (UTC) |

Categorization
Hi. Thanks for helping out with the categorization of articles. One thing you should be aware of, though: when categorizing articles, please try to place them in the most specific category possible. For example, adding Category:Canton, Ohio to the Pro Football Hall of Fame is a very good idea, but it's not necessary to add Category:Stark County, Ohio as well, because the Canton category is a subcategory of the Stark County category. Thanks! - EurekaLott 22:41, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
Question
Hi, I noticed you have added Template:Blanchard Valley Conference to a bunch of villages in Hancock County, Ohio. Since these articles do not even mention the relevant school districts, are these really appropriate places to put this template? Also why pick Rawson and not Mt. Cory for Cory-Rawson? Liberty-Benton should link to Liberty Township or to Benton Ridge, but most definitely not to Findlay (I removed the template and your map is off for LB too). Pandora-Gilboa Local School District, Putnam County, Ohio and Leipsic Local School District, Putnam County, Ohio do exist as articles and should be linked. These could be models for you to make stubs for the other school districts, or at the very least add some mention of the district to the village / township articles. Thanks, Ruhrfisch 04:56, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- Just a quick response (then I am off to bed). The template itself is fine - I assumed you made the BVC page (which I now see is where the faulty links are from) and the map too (did not check, my fault). Tomorrow I will put a version of my comments on the talk pages for the conference and Frank12 (main author it seems). Take care, Ruhrfisch 05:22, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- I updated the BVC page and will change the template to match next. It will give it mostly red links though. Sorry to jump to conclusions above. Ruhrfisch 01:55, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- I made stubs for each of the red link school districts so they are red links no more. Take care and sorry I was a bit gruff at first, Ruhrfisch 03:11, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response - I see the stubs are still stubs, but at least they are not red links. Maybe some day when I get some time.... Keep up the good work and take care, Ruhrfisch 11:51, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Uncategorized articles
Hello, and thanks for helping clear out the backlog of uncategorized pages. We've got a lot to work on, and all efforts are appreciated. Please make sure, though, to remove the uncategorized template; otherwise, the article still shows up as uncategorized and still has the blue tag. Thanks again. Reverted OH Civil War regimental cats
Hello CRKingston! I am the member of the Wikipedia American Civil War Task Force that monitors (and writes) many of the Civil War articles related to the state. I removed the category:Ohio in the Civil War that you added, as the subcategory Category:Ohio Civil War regiments is already linked into the parent cat Category:Ohio in the Civil War. Wiki convention (which we try to follow for all Civil War articles) is not to link both the parent and subcat in these articles. Regards! By the way, feel free to look at WP:ACW and User:Hlj/CWediting for tips and guidelines for Civil War material. Yours truly! Scott Mingus 00:54, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
People from Dunedin
Hi CRKingston - I note you're adding a new "People from Dunedin" category to a lot of New Zealanders' articles - when you do so, pleaser emove the "People from Otago" category". Since Dunedin is the largest centre in Otago, and "People from Dunedin" is (now) a subcat of "People from Otago", they don't need to be in both. Grutness...wha? 05:51, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
For what it's worth, Rawi Hage was already filed in Category:People from Beirut; did you not notice, or were you trying to add it to a different category and typed the wrong thing by mistake? Bearcat 16:48, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- No worries...gawd knows I've done both of those things myself sometimes, too :-) Bearcat 02:34, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi there, is this edit correct or a typo? I can't see any reference to it in the article text itself? -- Chuq 04:38, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
- I would add it, but the problem is I'm not sure it is the same person - it is a fairly common name I guess. -- Chuq 04:57, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
I have nominated this article and many others (list below) for deletion. I feel that you may have gone a little overboard on adding small library systems in Ohio to Wikipedia; I'm not sure that they meet the notability guidelines, and I thought that it would be better to have a public discussion of the matter than to just try to quietly "prod" or "speedy delete" so much work on your part. Feel free to take part in the discussion, which is linked from any of the pages, at the top.
Also nominated: Garnet A. Wilson Public Library, Herrick Memorial Library, London Public Library (Ohio), Mary L. Cook Public Library, Monroe County District Library, Mount Sterling Public Library, Perry Public Library, Plain City Public Library, Sylvester Memorial Public Library, Wauseon Public Library, Wayne Public Library, Wellsville Carnegie Public Library, Weston Public Library, Willard Memorial Library, Wilmington Public Library of Clinton County --Brianyoumans 04:31, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Ohio libraries
While I don't see a pressing need for separate library articles, I do see a strong need that the project team should be the ones who make the decision, not a group of outsiders with no vested interest in the project. Hence, I have asked the person who brought this up in the first place to take his argument directly to the Wiki project members for final decision. Scott Mingus 17:28, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- You are most welcome. By the way, I am an alum of Miami University in Oxford, OH, and lived the vast majority of my life in my native Ohio. I get back there a couple times a month on frequent business trips. My hometown library is John McIntyre Library in Zanesville, Ohio. Scott Mingus 18:25, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- I added my two cents on the Adams County Public Library article. Basically I'd like to see them expanded with more history and background where possible. If there isn't that much info, move it to a section on the article about Adams County so that your research doesn't go to waste. I also agree that such decisions need to be made by project members or it defeats their purpose! Hope I was of help!! --JonRidinger 01:21, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
nature clinical practice journals
1. These are not American publications--they are UK publications--Nature Publishing Group is a UK publisher, 2. These are not monthly magazines, or magazines of any sort--in the scientific subjects magazine is a non-peer reviewed journal, such as scientific american, or Library journal They are journals, which are peer-reviewed publications. The difference is important.
- For documentation, see the linked articles.
You seem to have added the wrong categories to all the NPG journals. Not your fault, because sience journals are peculiar, but you did categorize them wrong, and I hope you will go down the last and remove the two inappropriate categories. If you;d like to do more work with the many incomplete articles for this sort of publication, I would be glad to assist.DGG 22:41, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for offering to fix. Just let me know when you'd want to start (after the new year) and we'll find a project. I can't work as fast as you do, and there are another 8000 articles of journals awaiting improvement.DGG 02:04, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
