Please see WP:FURTHER. The Ballotpedia article was added to Further reading. It was not being used as a citation or an EL entry. It provides additional sources which disappeared with the recent deletion of Template:GovLinks. To have an article about such a high-profile governor with no Further reading, and only one link in EL (his official governor site) - but with a section titled "Accolades"! - smacks of "cleansing". The whole scandal is the biggest tempest in a teapot that I've ever seen. Everything hinges on whether Christie was the prime mover or had advanced knowledge, and there doesn't seem to be any evidence of that. If he directed it, then he should suffer great consequences. If pigs had wings, then they could fly. It's such a bogus issue, I really don't want to spend time editing it. I suspect that either: 1) evidence will come to light and Christie will go down hard; or 2) no evidence will emerge and the controversy will die under its own weight - certainly in the minds of anyone with common sense (an ever-decreasing minority in this country). == Reverting edits on Talk page of Fort Lee lane closure scandal == |
You reverted my same edits twice on the article talk page while claiming that I deleted someone's edits. That claim is not true. |
I simply transferred all comments from "Incorrect sources" to "Web difficulties at NorthJersey.com (The Record)" since they covered the exact same topic. I then added a new comment to "Web difficulties at NorthJersey.com (The Record)" that covered previous comments from these two sections. I thought I had adequately described in the Edit Summary what I did so that nobody, including the original editors, would be confused or have any concerns. In addition, someone comparing either of my edits with the previous posted edits should have been able to see this is exactly what I did without my having deleted anyone's posted comments. |
By reverting my edits, you clearly did remove my posted new comment, which you claimed should not be done when you reverted my edits, thereby causing some confusion. You also created unnecessary alarm with others by making a very broad statement about posted comments and edits being deleted without referencing any specific instances. I am not aware of any other instances of posted comments or edits being deleted. |
I guess I could have left the "Incorrect sources" section blank, except for a comment that "All comments from this section have been transferred to "Web difficulties at NorthJersey.com (The Record)" since it covers the same topic". I just thought that would provide unnecessary text and add no value to the discussions. |
If you are aware of any other instances where posted comments were deleted, please advise. |
I am very flexible. Perhaps, the next time you can open a discussion on my Talk page if you see something that you feel I should not have done. |
I hope that you can try to see my perspective and be flexible in your approach to these issues. |

:@Anythingyouwant My take is that that was the conclusion from the previous RfC. My personal opinion is that these guys are attempting to re-litigate the discussion. In particular, Cwobeel is just restoring what is essentially the same content repeatedly. According to WP:BLP, the burden is on him to justify restoring the content.
