Tiger Woods
As mentioned, the infobox on many articles is not standardised – the layout changes, as do the fields. It is also not a template. Over 50 articles, and increasing, are now using the template. I have been inserting it mostly on articles that currently have no infobox, of which there are more than those that do, and it will take time to progress through them all. You could help. If you don't like it and wish to discuss it further, the Golf WikiProject talk page would be the best the place to do it, rather than the individual article's talk page. In the mean time edit wars are not helpful, so please leave the template in place.
If you wish to clean up your talk page, it is best to archive it rather than deleting the content. wjematherbigissue 10:23, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You recently re-added two tiny, almost illegible images to the title bars of the {{US Presidents}} and {{USVicePresidents}} articles ([1], [2]). Furthermore, you did so while providing no edit summary of any kind; it is considered common courtesy to provide a summary, especially if undoing someone else's work. It looks as if you've also done the same to literally hundreds of other articles over the course of the last 24 hours - was this discussed in advance anywhere? As these emblems are practically impossible to discern in many cases they are rather superfluous to the templates; these should be removed again, unless there was consensus that such emblems are a good idea. - Might I add they (President and Vice President Navbox) have been that way for two years now and your making haste about it and I was doing the others' because they deserved it and I took hard time out of my day and don't give me that crude language about undoing your work when they undid mine! Bluedogtn (talk) 16:39, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- What others have done is not my concern; it is your behaviour which is improper here. You have again reverted a different user who pointed to a guideline on this issue; once again you did not use an edit summary. Discussion is not an optional part of the editing process. I'll take this to the template talk, but I don't expect you to continue to edit war in the interim. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 16:47, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Furthermore, I want to note the Israel and Canadian pages for their political and cabinet figures have their flags and icons on their boxes so it is a concensus. Go check things out before you disregard others' work in haste! Steven Harper Tzipi Livni EXAMPLES!
- I've continued this discussion at template talk: US Presidents#Seal in title bar. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 17:10, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Your infobox template
If you put a {{db-author}} tag on it for speedy deletion, that should do it. Regards. wjematherbigissue 17:57, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
I haven't see anyone being hostile, if other people oppose and you can't convince them to change their mind you just have to accept it Gnevin (talk) 19:00, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- No I do not and will not except some rogue editor telling me what to do Bluedogtn (talk) 19:02, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Well its some rogue editors at this stage and Wikipedia:Other stuff exists is not a convincing argument Gnevin (talk) 19:04, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- I'll Go and delete the other stuff and make it mundane on the Canadian and Israel pages as well! I think we need to get an Admin in on this in order to get this resolved! Bluedogtn (talk) 19:06, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- If we are going to take seals and flags off of NAVBOXS then we need to delete them from the internals of Navboxes as well to make it a uniform standard!Bluedogtn (talk) 19:12, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

{{Infobox Golfer}}
I removed the speedy deletion tag you placed on this template; did you mean to tag {{Infobox Golfer Alternate}} instead? PC78 (talk) 19:24, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Adding Unnecessary templates
The Players champions and Tour Championship champions templates are nice, but not necessary. All players have a list of their PGA Tour wins, and many already have the details which you seek to provide by creating the "Other significant championships" heading. See Career achievements of Tiger Woods, and you will notice that the information contained in your new section is already there. Please do not add the templates to all golfers, because all will have to be deleted. We all agree that those tournaments are important, but given the sheer number of existing important templates (ie for major championships), more are unnecessary. In the future, when seeking to add such details to so many pages, starting a discussion in order to reach a consensus would be helpful. Thanks, and happy editing! Supertigerman (talk) 04:16, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- I appreciate your efforts, and understand that you had good and informative intentions, but the information is indeed redundant. It is contained in other parts of the articles, and the 2 new templates will have to go. Supertigerman (talk) 04:23, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks!
Just wanted to say thanks for coming to my defense in regards to the "Serena Slam" issue. I appreciate the trouble you went to getting those links together. :-) Alonsornunez (talk) 18:32, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
WP Golf recent updates list
Hi there, thanks for the work you're doing adding the infobox template to golfer articles. However, there are hundreds of golfer articles to do, and the project page will just get cluttered very quickly if every article that has the template transcluded is added to the recent updates list. The list is really just for major substantial changes (such as rewrites and other major content changes), and new articles, so that other editors can visit to quickly check/proof read. Golfer nicknames
Hi again, just a quick note about nicknames. Abbreviations such as Steve, Bob, Don, Phil, etc. are not really nicknames, so are best left out of the infobox. Regards. wjematherbigissue 10:12, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
