Cyberbullying
I've reflected on this for the last couple of days, and I've decided that I probably owe you an apology. We could debate for hours over whether or not my comments violated WP:CIVIL (I don't think they did), but my usual policy is to go beyond merely adhering to that policy, adhering to it so stringently that there's never even any question of violation. In this case, there obviously is a question. I apologize. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 15:16, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Owwwww CRAP
I'm so sorry for the block... I knew something was weird here. I went back a couple of minutes later and I now understand... Crap.... Please accept my deepest apologies :( -- lucasbfr talk 08:00, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Main Page redesign
The Main Page Redesign proposal is currently conducting a straw poll to select five new designs, before an RFC in which one will be proposed to replace the Main Page. The poll closes on October 31st. Your input would be hugely appreciated! Many thanks, PretzelsTalk! 15:02, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Please review WP:NFCC, especially in this case items #1 and #8. This image conveys nothing that is not already understood about his appearance. That he was arrested is already conveyed in the article. His visual appearance for his mug shot is meaningless to the context, and there is already a free license image at the top of the page to convey his visual appearance. Further, the Foundation has taken a very strict stance against fair use imagery of living people. See Foundation:Resolution:Licensing policy, especially point #3 where it says "An EDP may not allow material where we can reasonably expect someone to upload a freely licensed file for the same purpose, such as is the case for almost all portraits of living notable individuals." Do not re-instate this image, as it is a blatant violation of our policies. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 15:30, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- You just like deleting content, that's all. Are you ready for IPv6? (talk) 15:46, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- You are correct. One of my aims is to delete content that is not compliant with our policies. --Hammersoft (talk) 16:31, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of "SWATing"
The deletion of an article you created, SWATing, has been proposed for the following reason:
- Neologism with no assertion of actual usage.
You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.
Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. You may wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.
Thank you. Blanchardb -Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 14:57, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- This kind of thing is why I did not work very hard on the article. I'm glad I only put one sentence and then dumped the references out. Are you ready for IPv6? (talk) 15:00, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Mail Archive
Though you are right to delete the links to mail-archive, you have an obligation to replace them with the proper refs, for example here, you cannot simply remove the reference -- you will have to replace it with <ref>[[Canadian News Digest]], [http://www.canoe.ca/NewsArchiveJun96/candigest_june25.html Defence, prosecution agree Dallare mentally ill], June 25, 1996</ref>. I have reverted your removals for now, but feel free to re-do them if you replace the refs. Sherurcij (speaker for the dead) 06:04, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
- Unfortunately no, because people hunted down that the fact was in the 1996 Los Angeles Times article entitled "California Burning", that is the proper reference, they were just stupid/foolish to try and link to a copyright-violation hosting website that includes the article. Sherurcij (speaker for the dead) 06:08, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
- Not sure I understand, usually people are linking to an (illegally-hosted) copy of a real news article on the mail-archive site. So you need to just copy/paste the name of the newspaper, the date and the title, and use it instead of the big mail-archive link as the ref. You don't need to wikilink the titles, or hunt down other online (legal) copies of the news story if that'll slow you down, just note the title and stuff - you're doing good work and I'm glad to see the links to copyright violations removed - it definitely helps improve WP. - Please stop removing content based on the www-address rather than considering the content. Your edits frequently remove helpful information. Thanks 81.62.44.149 (talk) 11:38, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
- I redid the stuff and have been gradually going through them all from Sherurcij's advice. There are lots of refs pointing to scraper sites that copied the sources instead of the real sources and I have been finding the real sources and replacing the scraper site refs with the real ones. Are you ready for IPv6? (talk) 12:41, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
- Very nice. Thanks a lot. 81.62.16.68 (talk) 12:50, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Harry the Dirty Dog's vandalism, trolling, and making false template warnings when he is the one vandalizing
