- But the episode that came out has covered it at the end.70.126.22.132 (talk) 04:08, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
Username
Sorry this took so long but Wikipedia:SIGPROB seems fairly clear to me. CombatWombat42 (talk) 14:57, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
- Except that there's nothing wrong with my signature to begin with, what with it actually being permitted on Wikipedia to have a signature different than the username, and that I'm not trying to impersonate anyone else, and, unless you have some dire incentive for me to go through the hassle of changing either my signature or username, such as having me blocked, I will not, under any circumstance, jump through legalistic hoops solely to assuage your own sensibilities and not mine. So, please get off my goddamned ass about this, I do not appreciate your concern at all, especially if it means that you're trying to drag me into yet another unwanted session of wikidrama.--Mr Fink (talk) 16:44, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
- I changed my signature to my surname to stop those users too stupid to copy and paste from constantly misspelling my username. But, as you said in the previous thread, you don't care about any of my justifications.--Mr Fink (talk) 17:42, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
- CombatWombat42, as I explained before, you are wrong. See Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. Hundreds and hundreds of Wikipedia editors use nicknames. Why did you single out Apokryltaros? --Guy Macon (talk) 17:59, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
- Guy Macon, The link I posted requests that you have "username/your nick" that seems to contradict the link you posted, which one do we follow? I am "singling out Apokryltaros" as he is the only one I have seen that does not follow the "/" convention, and it annoyed me when I saw a discussion involving him and got very confused untill I noticed his signature was very different from his username. CombatWombat42 (talk) 19:18, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
- Apokryltaros, if you want to be mean about it that is your choice, but I was confused by the difference in your username and signature so I was pointing it out in the hopes that you would rectify it. Certanly policy is murky on this topic, but I beleive the correct choice is to make some clarification. CombatWombat42 (talk) 19:18, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
- This issue is now at Wikipedia talk:Signatures#Nicknames in signatures. --Guy Macon (talk) 20:18, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
- Combatwombat, you're the one who's been nagging/harassing me about my signature for your own sake. That you refuse to get the hint and leave me alone about it is not my fault. I will not jump through any legalistic hoops for your own sake simply to make you feel better about anything.--Mr Fink (talk) 21:46, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
