These texts were called to my attention. I just want to say that I find this kind of language massively offensive, from a number of viewpoints. If it hadn't already been archived I would have deleted it and revdel'ed it. We are allowed a certain leeway at our own talk pages, but common decency and a respect for others ought to argue against this kind of talk. --[[User:MelanieN|MelanieN]] ([[User talk:MelanieN|talk]]) 18:44, 21 July 2018 (UTC) |

Spoilers
We don't give spoiler warnings. See Wikipedia:Spoiler. Fences&Windows 19:57, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- I've read it. Still, I think another rule should also be added in that case. That whenever there is a plot description, it should be complete. Now stories sometimes only have a plot introduction and sometimes a complete plot description. Before you read it, you never know what it is, so you never know if it is safe to read before watching/reading the work. From an encyclopedic point of view, I believe the plot description should be complete and not just an introduction (Wikipedia is not a review magazine or advertising means). This way it would also be more clear that you should *never* read the plot section and warnings are not needed anymore. W3ird N3rd (talk) 20:29, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- I think Wikipedia:How to write a plot summary covers a lot of this ground. Fences&Windows 01:38, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Sock
Hi i believe you caught Logat as a sock previously but he is back with disruptive editing with ip address 84.81.77.172, what points out in his edits is that, he likes to label the Ajuran sultanate as an empire, one of his socks cosbey does this here [1] [2]
Recently he is restoring original research from his previous sock haltishobes. [3] [4] 93.39.143.204 (talk) 23:01, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- I'm not an admin, all I could do with this is put it on Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Got a message on my talk page. Alexis Jazz (talk) 23:19, 12 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:16, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

500px reply
Hi, it's been a while since I used this so hopefully I'm doing this correctly. I updated https://500px.com/photo/52836112/making-a-turn-by-brad-mckay with a note regarding the use on Wikimedia, please let me know if there is anything else needed with that. ÞórrÓðinnTýr Eh? 18:28, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
- @ThorOdinTyr: thank you for your swift response! For this photo everything is clear now. Are there any more files you uploaded (c:Special:ListFiles/ThorOdinTyr) that had been previously published? Alexis Jazz (talk) 18:44, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
Re: Comments/link to Commons
Regarding your linked comment on another user's talk page (as well as the linked discussion at Commons), the language is quite offensive, sexist even. I realize that the majority of editors in Wikipedia and Commons are guys, and locker room talk will ensue, but your commentary as well as the content at the link you provided to your Commons talk page is over the top and should not be highlighted or referenced, even in jest. As I stated, it's highly offensive and sexist in nature. Imagine if what you wrote were to reference race - would it be allowed to stand? It would not. Please archive or delete immediately. If you do not, "others" will have to be notified (both here and at Commons). Thanks. -- ψλ ● ✉ ✓ 17:13, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- I archived it to prevent any further comments on that thread, but otherwise I don't see the problem. It was directed at me and it didn't hurt my feelings. Nobody else should feel offended for crap that was directed at me. Alexis Jazz (talk) 17:39, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
You're almost there. Now you need to delete the sexist comment at Pants' talk page. -- ψλ ● ✉ ✓ 17:37, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
