Speed of light
Welcome to the 'Speed of light article'. I don't know if you have been following the talk on the subject but your edit was, in my opinion, most welcome. I have been trying to improve the English and physics of the article for some time now to get it back to FA status but have found my efforts hampered by the actions of one particular editor. - Thanks. I haven't been following it but I did read it through before editing. Abtract (talk) 12:07, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
The first sentence of the lede is; "In physics, energy (from the Greek ἐνέργεια - energeia, "activity, operation", from ἐνεργός - energos, "active, working"[1]) is a scalar physical quantity that describes the amount of work that can be performed by a force, an attribute of objects and systems that is subject to a conservation law."
Thus specifiying that it is a property of objects. Taemyr (talk) 17:15, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
If you have a point to make about the definition of energy, then please make it at Energy rather than here or by trying to expand the lead of energy (disambiguation) beyond what is required to disambiguate. All I have done is take the Eirst few words of the target article and use it in the lead which is common practice and quite sufficient for the purpose, imho. Abtract (talk) 13:25, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
