Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, such as the one you made to List of Japanese inventions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- How to create your first article (using the Article Wizard if you wish)
- Manual of Style
You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (99.231.172.215) is used to identify you instead.
In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on this page. Again, welcome! —Darkwind (talk) 17:51, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
Your recent edits
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 06:39, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding or significantly changing content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to Economic history of India, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Jim1138 (talk) 04:21, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
There is overwhelming evidence to suggest that India was the richest place on the face of the earth for all of history up until the 18th century. Almost every major civilization in history has made heavy references towards the legendary wealth of Ancient India. It is common knowledge in the Indian sub-continent and in many other places in the world. Go through the source in that article. According to Angus Maddison, India had the world's largest economy from the 1st to the 16th century and again in the 18th century. Is it really that surprising?? It is sad that these aspects of history are not taught in western schools.
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Economy of Asia. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. You have received similar warnings about changing content without using sources on other articles (see the previous notification), so please change the way you edit. It also appears that you might be an ipsock of a banned editor, since this IP was already blocked by Elockid a month ago. Mathsci (talk) 04:57, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
