Your edits on List of oldest universities in continuous operation
Hello. Your edits have been reverted since the schools you added weren't founded as universities, and didn't become universities until in modern times. There's a separate list for continuously operated schools regardless of type, List of oldest schools, but there are quite a few schools in that list that were founded hundreds of years before 858, the year of founding for the oldest school you added, and have been in continuous operation since founded, so the oldest school you added wouldn't top that list either. Thank you. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 14:56, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hello again. Please stop making the edit, the list is for the oldest university (i.e. the oldest school that was founded as a university, or first became a university) in each country/region, not all universities in a country or region. Especially if they didn't become universities until modern times. Thank you. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 16:37, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
No, Ryukoku university is also in the category of the oldest insitituion because from 1920 to 1949 is the same category and Ryukoku is established in 1922 and its origin is 1639 so now its the oldest university until 1949. And I think we don't need to erase either. Just leave it for samples.
- We go by when schools became universities, which for Ryukoku University is 1876. Period. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 17:10, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
How about Todai? Is Shoheizaka university? No its not. same. about its origin 1639.

Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at List of oldest universities in continuous operation. If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Ryukoku university did not become a UNIVERSITY until 1876!!! - Tom | Thomas.W talk 17:08, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
Do you know the Japanese university system? The oldest university category is from 1920 to 1949 and Ryukoku is between them in 1923 as university and its origin is 1639 so its overrolled Keio and Todai. (Maybe Todai is the origin is 1630.)
