Duplicate page
Hello Sopher99! Your article, Ruffle Bar, has been found to be an identical copy of The ruffle bar. If you intended to point a new article title to an already existing article, please use a redirect. Otherwise, please add {{db-g6}} to the top of the page to have it deleted. Thank you. THE AMERICAN METROSEXUAL 02:15, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but in this recent edit you removed a speedy deletion tag from Joe park, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page Thank you. Wysprgr2005 (talk) 18:27, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Response to this: Sorry, didn't create the page, i deleted the vandalization of it, in which someone created the page to satire a person
The recent edit you made to The pikachu show has been reverted, as it removed all content from the page without explanation. Please do not do this, as it is considered vandalism; use the sandbox for testing. If you think the page should be deleted, see this page for instructions. Thank you. Favonian (talk) 22:27, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I'm surprised by the tag you placed on Fun?, the sources are Billboard, Allmusic, and three books none of which have any connection with the band or their label. J04n(talk page) 04:10, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I created the article, its name is Fun? and you tagged it as needing references that appear in reliable third-party publications, which it does. J04n(talk page) 04:14, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks and Happy New Year. J04n(talk page) 04:16, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I don't want to make a big fuss about it, but I don't understand why you tagged this article as an attack page - it merely said "David Silliman - Drummer and Percussionst", which is hardly offensive, even if you're not a big fan of drummers :D Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I changed the tag to {{db-person}}. I wouldn't normally change it, it's just that I feel attack pages deserve some more attention than "usual" speedy deletes. Peasantwarrior (talk) 14:41, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
response: unfortunately it is too short to fit wikipedia's criteria
It has nothing to do with shortness - for example, if I create an article on Dragan Marković right now and all it says is "Dragan Marković - a parliament member in Serbia", it should not be speedy deleted as the article has a sufficient claim of notability (moreover, that claim is easily verifiable). The point is that the article has no claim of significance, which is why it was deleted: JohnCD deleted "David Silliman" (A7: Article about a real person, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject). The article has been rightfully deleted, that's not a problem, I'm just noting that the article was not offensive and that you shouldn't have tagged it and blanked it as an attack page. Thanks. Peasantwarrior (talk) 14:51, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There, take a look at Dragan Marković page I created right now. It's really short and doesn't offer much information, but it didn't have any problems with speedy deletion so far and I don't believe it will, it's a classic "textbook" stub. Now, of course that I could have written a longer article (I don't think I will, though, there are far more interesting subjects than this guy for me and it will be an interesting to see how/if this article will grow over time) but in any case shortness isn't part of criteria for deletion. Anyway, keep up the good work! :) Peasantwarrior (talk) 13:20, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Patrolling new pages
Greetings. I've noticed that you have been patrolling new pages. Thanks for doing that! I noticed that many times you have added tags requesting sources, which is very important. However, there are many times I've noticed you could be doing a lot more. Several of the articles you've marked as patrolled do not meet the criteria for inclusion and should be deleted or at the very leased be tagged for notability. Others need categories (you can use {{uncat}} for those) or need to be wikified (you can request this by adding the {{wikify}} tag). You are more than welcome to add the unreferenced or primary sources tags to the articles, but if you're unsure if an article warrants inclusion or has other issues, then don't mark the page as patrolled and someone else will also look at it. If you have any questions, please ask. Thanks again, PDCook (talk) 16:17, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 16:52, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CSD has been refused. These are not attack pages. Please be careful as to the use of this tag, as it flags an urgent response. Ronhjones (Talk) 17:41, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just a note. If an article has no references, use the {{unreferenced}} tag or the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag for biographical articles. The {{primary sources}} tag is for articles that have a reference, but the references is related to the subject and not considered independent. Regards, PDCook (talk) 18:20, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also note that the {{wikify}} tag is for articles that are missing internal links or otherwise are not following WP standard for layout or formatting. It has nothing to do with content. Regards, PDCook (talk) 18:22, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The building was constructed in late 1830 as a grain and flour-mill in the town of Guelph.[1] It was first known as the Canada Company Mill, and it was built on the west bank of the Speed River.[2][3] Allan's Mill, Guelph's first, was a wooden structure, containing four run of stone, one for oatmeal, one for country flour, and two for merchant flour.[4]
The owners had sold the mill during 1832 to the buyer William Allan.[5] Allan had lived numerous years overseeing the development of flour and saw mills in Sweden. Allan took use of this monopoly, and invested his money in the further construction of the mill. There were five stories consisting of stone that were contributed to the mill.[6]In 1846 the county of Guelph had 3,400 residents which the mill provided with its industry.[2]
Allan diversified his business by giving distillery and producing fruit syrups to the mill.[7] He was also able to make his business self-sustaining by creating a blacksmith workshop, a cooper shop, a metal working-shop, a wood-working room, a mining quarry, and two agricultural fields.
The Allan's continued to operate the mill in Guelph up to the year 1876 when the mill had been purchased by David Spence.[8] The mill continued to operate after the purchase until a severe fire destroyed its operation several years later.[9] In the years since the building operated as a mill several other commercial enterprises have used its location including a furniture store, the Dalyte Electric Company, and the Doughty-McFarlane Flour and Seed Company.[9]

Please refrain from abusing warning or blocking templates, as you did to Milan "Tarot" Radonjić. Doing so is a violation of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please use the user warnings sandbox for any tests you may want to do, or take a look at our introduction page to learn more about contributing to the encyclopedia. Please, don't do that. That was not an attack page. I'm sorry to be warning you as you seem to be doing everything in good faith, but we've all been telling you about the improper usage of {{db-attack}} for some time now. Another note on tags
Hello. When nominating an article for speedy deletion, please try to state a reason for your assessment. Simply putting {{db-delete}} on it without a reasoning will sometimes not suffice except for obvious cases like the band article you just tagged. For example, I have changed your tag on that one to {{db-empty}} as this template will then show that the page was either totally empty or consisted of a mere rephrasing of the title or otherwise marginal content. Please have a look at Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion for more info and for a list of useful standardised templates. De728631 (talk) 21:47, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So far, I've had to untag three pages that had been tagged no-context by you. Please read WP:CSD#A1. No context means, you have no idea what the page is talking about. Thank you. -- Blanchardb-Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 02:16, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Another declined deletion
I have declined your request to delete Time's Mirror under criterion A3. That guideline calls for deletion of articles with "no content whatsoever." It is clearly inappropriate to place that template on a page that does have content, however minimal. Please take more care before tagging pages for speedy deletion. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 13:02, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've declined your speedy. If it were the 2050 IFAF World Cup, than I would give the go ahead. But not with this. I'd suggest reading the policies before attempting any more CSD's, as they seem to be getting reverted. Buggie111 (talk) 23:19, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I have nominated Allan's Mill, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Allan's Mill. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Auntof6 (talk) 23:49, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at . Leave a note at Talk:Allan's Mill saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved.
Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! VernoWhitney (talk) 13:31, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
While you have replaced the words and so it is not a word-for-word copy, the article remains a close paraphrase as the structure still largely mirrors the source and it needs to be further rewritten in order to avoid infringing copyright. The article Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2009-04-13/Dispatches, while about plagiarism rather than copyright concerns, also contains some suggestions for reusing material from sources that may be helpful, beginning under "Avoiding plagiarism". Serious problem/warning regarding speedy-tagging new articles
Thanks for new-page patrolling! However, please actually read them before tagging. I'm seeing a lot of declined ones today because you didn't see very obvious statements regarding claim of notability (city mayor) or context (team in specific contest), etc. Others are having to spend time cleaning up behind you and there's risk of an admin deleting a viable page, which alientates new editor/contributors. I see this is not the first time you've been warned for this bad behavior--so stop it. Also, per WP:CSD guideline, you are expected to alert article-creators when you tag their work unless there's a good reason not to...it's polite, and it gives them a chance to fix whatever problem you claim exists. Remember, wikipedia is a collaborative project--some of the best articles and best editors we have started as crap and quickly improved once someone mentioned what the problem was. DMacks (talk) 07:48, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Another CSD declined. Nick Murphy (Writer) is a redirect, as capitalization counts in non-first characters of pages. NativeForeignerTalk/Contribs 00:27, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Another CSD declined. Pizza acrobatics doesn't qualify as nonsense -- it was in readable English -- and the sport, or art, or what have you, actually exists, so it's not a hoax or vandalism. I will admit that the text was extremely difficult to read. Having done a lot of new page patrol myself, I know how tempting it is to tag an article like that, but, as per the above, please be careful; let's not bite the newbies who are contributing in good faith. New page patrol
Hi Sopher. I noticed you are doing a lot of good work on NPP. However, if you see a biography of a living person that has no references, you can either tag it with {{unreferencedBLP}}, or, when you have run the required checks on Google that there are no WP:RS, you can do a WP:BLPPROD. Doing all this helps enormously to relieve the workload on a lot of other editors and admins who make the decisions following your recommendations for deletion etc.. I have rejected another speedy deletion notice you placed, because {{db-notenglish}} is only for articles that were directly copied from another language Wikipedia; which was not apparent in this article. Original articles may be translated within a time of two weeks after listing them at WP:PNT, then they can be prodded if no translation has been made. As per this, and many other messages you have received regarding your speedy deletion nominations, I would like to ask you to ensure that the pages you tag for speedy deletion actually meet one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion. If an article has issues that can be solved through editing, please consider correcting the problem or use maintenance templates if you can't fix it yourself. If you believe the page should be deleted, but it doesn't meet a speedy deletion criterion, use another deletion process such as WP:AfD or WP:PROD. That said, your new page work is much appreciated, but keep in mind that speedy deletion is for blatant cases only. Do not hesitate to ask if you have questions. I have reverted your edit to List of Who Wants to Be A Millionaire (UK) ratings, where you reverted a perfectly good redirect with the comment This does not count as a redirect as it is just the difference of the capitalization of "A" and then tagged it with a CSD A3. New Article Patrol
Hi. I've noticed you reviewing new articles and removing "New unreviewed article" templates. I think you need to be a bit more careful, and don't remove the template until you have properly reviewed the article and fixed or flagged whatever faults it has. For example, Stone-Cup (game) was clearly an article with no content (and also had nonsensical categories added). It should have been left for a suitable time for the author to expand on it, with the template intact, or tagged for speedy deletion (after waiting a reasonable while). -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:30, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Speedy Delete
Regarding this speedy delete nomination, please note that CSD:A2 is only for articles that you can show already exist on foreign-language Wikipedias, and not for anything that is not English. Alternatives you could consider are just marking the article {{notenglish}}, or having a go at translating it via Google Translate (which is far from perfect, but usually gives us enough to have a go at reviewing the article). -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk)
Also, A1 is only for cases like "etnh4lscl3crhd uithtsth k;jk7u078au", not articles which make perfect sense, though being completely unencyclopedic. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 19:01, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
And you used {{db-same}} without properly specifying what it was the same as. A7 would have done better for that one. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 19:07, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You removed the "Unreviewed" template from this one. However, the article is actually unsourced, as it contains no references other than the company's own web site. This one should at least have been tagged as unreferenced (or at least, needing refs improved). -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:41, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This is another article you did not review properly, as its format is entirely non-standard and needs to be corrected before it is marked as reviewed. You really should re-read what people have been saying to you here on this Talk page, and stop removing "Unreviewed" templates without properly reviewing articles. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 18:28, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The discussion is about the topic User:Sopher99. Thank you. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 18:35, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Sopher99. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Auku to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. Thank you. —fetch·comms 20:45, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I see you speedy tagged this article as A3 (no content). If you see a blank article, you should check its history - in this case, the author had blanked it, so it should have been tagged with G7 (author blanked). Please take a little time to read Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion and learn about how and when to use the various CSD criteria. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:20, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You seem to follow me where-ever I go. Were you using the link to the articles I created on my user-page? Sopher99 (talk) 18:57, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm keeping an eye on your activities because of all the errors you have been making in relation to new page patrol, article reviewing, and CSD tagging (as seen in your many messages here on this Talk page), and your complete lack of response to any of the messages you have been left. As I informed you above, there is an incident open at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#User:Sopher99. If you ignore all attempts at communication, there is little else we can do other than keep a close eye on what you are doing, so I'd urge you to reply to that incident and at show some willingness to listen to what people are saying. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 19:05, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
sorry
Hi. Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, you are still making the same mistakes. In Stratus Building Solutions, you removed the "Unreviewed article" tag, but again you did not properly review the article - a quick read of it shows me that it is clearly too promotional in tone. You should have spotted that, and not marked it reviewed unless you had tagged it appropriately. Your enthusiasm is great, but I think you really must stop doing things until you fully understand how to do them properly. Here's a suggestion: If you review an article and find something wrong with it, you replace the "Unreviewed" tag with the appropriate tags - you seem to have been doing that quite well. But if you think there is nothing wrong with it, you just leave it for someone else to check and do not remove the "Unreviewed" tag. How does that sound? (Also, have you ever considered Wikipedia:Mentorship? I think it is something that might help you). -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:59, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Greetings. I noticed you marked this page as patrolled, but didn't address any of the issues it has. It had a line at the bottom that said "Join CTC Now, online at <URL>." That's pretty promotional and has no place in a WP article. Furthermore, the article was unreferenced, unwikified, uncategorized, advert-like and has questionable notability. Please, if you are confused about what to do with a particular article, don't mark it patrolled, and instead let someone else handle it. Regards, P. D. CookTalk to me! 20:48, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
In reviewing your patrol log, I must recommend that you hold off on patrolling until you read up on Wikipedia polices. You are going through pages way too quickly. For example, you marked Matthew Parsons patrolled, but it has no references and is thus an unsourced BLP. The The New Three Stooges (2011 series) article seems like a hoax and has now been tagged as such. Olivia Tait was deleted under CSD A7. There are more, but I'll stop with that. Have you read the New Page Patrol page? It has a guideline on how to patrol, but you must be familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines on sources, notability, verifiability, deletion and living persons, among others. Let me know if you have any questions. P. D. CookTalk to me! 21:06, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You tagged this article for deletion under criterion A2, a foreign-language article already on another Wikipedia; however, you didn't provide the link to the other language Wikipedia page. Would you please restore the deletion tag with a link to the other page? Nyttend (talk) 21:08, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Can you tell me the deletion tag for non-english articles that are not already wikipedia pages?Sopher99 (talk) 21:13, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Company list tags
Heya,
I hope you don;t mind but I removed the unreferenced tags from those company lists that you just added. Generally speaking if there is a wiki article that establishes the link to the country that is sufficient (at least by the current consensus). --ErrantTmorton166(Talk) 22:19, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Speedy deletion request declined
Hi Sopher, I declined your speedy deletion request for 0th grade. It is not a "blatant" hoax by any means, and seems to be legitimate (see, for example, the usage of the term in this study). Feel free to PROD it or submit it for WP:AFD, if you wish. Regards, Dabomb87 (talk) 22:27, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I also declined the speedy for Product concept. Neither of the speedy deletion tags applies—the article clearly defined the concept, so A1 was invalid, and the subject does not fall under A7 (which is for actual businesses, not marketing concepts). Please be more careful with your speedy deletion tags in the future. Dabomb87 (talk) 22:56, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. Google says this is in Malay. Can you give me a link to this on the Malay Wikipedia? I could not find it. Google mangled the translation, but he looks notable. Will send for translation if I can't find it on Malay Wikipedia. Dlohcierekim 23:28, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
