Sweetling™ is a company specializing in the design, manufacture and sale of underwear for the pre-teen and teenage market.
History
Sweetling was founded by Maria and Sophie Law in 2008, sisters-in-law who met as teenagers in Cambridge. Mothers of 6 daughters their idea was based on the personal difficulty they experienced in seeking age appropriate first bras for their own children. Sophie, an experienced theatre costume designer, spent 15 months designing the products. The first bras were launched on the internet 2009. The brand was discovered by Liberty Store during one of their open design call days.
Sweetling introduced the concept of celebratory ‘first bras’ to the UK market. subsequently been used by high street retailers - Tesco, Marks and Spencer, M&Co. and John Lewis.
