:This addition of a "Closing Statement" to your AE appeal was inappropriate because: (a) it edited a discussion which Sandstein had closed more than a day before, (b) it violated your topic ban as it comments (in fact, advocates for content change) in the abortion area, from which you have been banned (and received an additional warning from Bishonen, above, which you have ignored), and (c) it does not go to the substance of whether or not the ban is validly applied or should be overturned, which is the purpose of posting to AE. I am not an administrator; it will be up to Sandstein or Bishonen or others to decide whether to take action here. However, whether they do or don't, please bear in mind going forward that edits about or in the area of abortion, made on any page on Wikipedia – including article pages, talk pages, user pages, project pages, and all other pages – are absolutely forbidden to you except for the purposes of appeals (where the substance of the topic should be avoided). You are editing under an AE restriction which means blocks are applied swiftly and are difficult to overturn. My strong advice is to stay as far from the topic as possible. Testing boundaries is viewed unfavourably. Complaining of injustice will achieve little, no matter how you feel. If you want to edit Wikipedia, please accept that your actions have been found to be unacceptable in this area and the only way back is to demonstrate unproblematic editing in other areas of the encyclopaedia. This is offered as friendly advice, and I hope you can accept it in that light. EdChem (talk) 16:02, 8 January 2017 (UTC) |

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Problem IP editor at Plurality (voting)
Hi Ontario Teacher, I need help with a problem at Plurality (voting). An IP editor keeps placing inchoate text in topics, related to plurality, apparently using several IP addresses. See this edit, in particular, which is similar to a previous one. I don't feel that I can tackle this on my own, so I'm hoping that you can help. I just reverted a reversion the same IP made at Proportional representation, where you corrected one of his edits.

Return of disruptive IP editor
Hi, Ontario Teacher BFA BEd--The editor, who was writing incoherent contributions on topics relating to Plurality (voting) and Plurality voting system, has returned with these edits. Since he seems to be trolling me, perhaps you could look at this. Cheers, User:HopsonRoad 22:25, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, Ontario Teacher BFA BEd--You'll note the same incoherent language added below, on your talk page at "Your Plurality/Majority understanding" by "NewSpeechKiller". He's been stalking my Talk page, as well. User:HopsonRoad 04:31, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
Related: There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. JBL (talk) 21:06, 11 March 2016 (UTC)

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
Hello, Ontario Teacher BFA BEd. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement sanction
The following sanction now applies to you:
You have been topic banned for one year from all pages connected with abortion, broadly construed. Please see WP:TBAN for what a topic ban is.
You have been sanctioned for tendentious editing and edit warring at Political positions of Donald Trump. On the occasion EvergreenFir mentions just above, I told you several times that the page restrictions on Donald Trump included "All editors must obtain consensus on the talk page of this article before reinstating any edits that have been challenged (via reversion)." The same restrictions apply on Political positions of Donald Trump, as I'm sure you're aware, having edited the talkpage extensively. Of course editing the talkpage is a good thing, but you have failed to gain even a little support for your version there, let alone consensus. In March 2016, I also alerted you to the discretionary sanctions for abortion-related pages, in connection with a block for edit warring on an abortion-related article. Your repeated POV-pushing and violations of the page sanctions on Donald Trump-related articles have consistently had to do with abortion, a subject on which you appear to have strong feelings. Therefore, it seems better to topic ban you from abortion, rather than from Donald Trump.
This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Abortion#Final decision and, if applicable, the procedure described at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.
You may appeal this sanction using the process described here. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. Bishonen | talk 10:22, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
Topic ban violation
This edit violates your topic ban. I guess you didn't click on WP:TBAN to learn what "topic banned" means, as I advised? I noticed you have appealed at WP:AE, but, as my ban notice also says, "Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful." Please read the ban notice with more care, because if you violate the restriction it outlines again, you will be blocked. Bishonen | talk 20:27, 6 January 2017 (UTC).
- This addition of a "Closing Statement" to your AE appeal was inappropriate because: (a) it edited a discussion which Sandstein had closed more than a day before, (b) it violated your topic ban as it comments (in fact, advocates for content change) in the abortion area, from which you have been banned (and received an additional warning from Bishonen, above, which you have ignored), and (c) it does not go to the substance of whether or not the ban is validly applied or should be overturned, which is the purpose of posting to AE.
