I have asked the clerks to take a look at your request as it's malformed and not really properly set up in any category of request. |
|||
As a procedural note, you don't the standing to file an appeal as, to quote policy, we "hear appeals from blocked, banned, or otherwise restricted users". As you are not a "blocked, banned or otherwise restricted user", we can't hear an appeal from you. However, you can file a Request for Amendment or Clarification of a case but that needs filing in the proper place. Hopefully, the clerks will do this for you. Whether this soon after the case has closed, the request for amendment or clarification is entertained is another matter. |

Articles for Creation Appeal
Articles for Creation urgently needs your help!
Articles for Creation is desperately short of reviewers! We are looking for urgent help, from experienced editors, in reviewing submissions in the pending submissions queue. Currently there are 2937 submissions waiting to be reviewed.
If the answer to these questions is yes, then please read the reviewing instructions and donate a little of your time to helping tackle the backlog. |
So did you see that I've moved the article into mainspace and have had some help expanding it further? With luck, it'll be approved soon for DYK. LadyofShalott 15:35, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
- That is very nice. It's much better seeing this article in the main space and she is an interesting subject. I've watchlisted the article and will monitor its progress as well as improve it if I see areas I can improve. You've done well. Cheers - My76Strat (talk) 23:04, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
Online Ambassador, Spring 2012
Hi, My76Strat! As you may know, the Wikipedia Education Program has instilled a new set of standards that courses must meet to officially join the program for the semester. As you can see, one of the requirements is that at least one ambassador or professor is a Wikipedian, as this should give students more access to helpful information about contributing to Wikipedia and creating good content. You are listed on the Online Ambassador page; are you still interested in remaining active this semester? Some of these classes will have to remove themselves from the program should they fail to meet these standards, but we would like to ensure that new students are receiving proper support during the editing process. Please let me know if you are still interested in mentoring these students this semester and/or visit the Online Ambassador talk page to select a course that still needs an Online Ambassador. Thank you! JMathewson (WMF) (talk) 00:25, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

your friend.
I hope you took no offence, I'm sure your wiki-friend is a fine and upstanding person. It's just my view is that there are too many rogue admins (with all the best intentions) right now whose cowboy antics are simply damaging the project. Blocking without doing any research. Unblocking without discussion. It's disrespectful to say the least. I don't consider myself a good admin., but I'm trying to learn. cheers and best, and I hope you're doing well. — Ched : ? 06:21, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- Just before I posted my last to your page we had an edit conflict. I wasn't offended, but did curtail that post, deeming it irrelevant. Truthfully it was merely a comical distraction that served therapeutic in the moment. Otherwise here is the post as it would have been:
- "I must chuckle slightly, Jobar is rather competent, save his inability to conjure a nefarious deed. You should also know that he was welcomed to Wikipedia 1 year ago with a giant fuck-you that really gives him more right to be suspicious than anything you could ground against him. As I watch him append his requests, I know he is doing each one by hand. He'll probably be at it all night. I suppose I'll wait until he's done to tell him about AWB. Hey look, I needed a break and this humorous aside couldn't have come at a better time for me."
- That's really all that was coming out of my comment. Hey, BTW, I saw some of the recent disagreement on your talk page. I wanted to append a comment, spent roughly six hours preparing it, probably would have needed another six before I would have considered it worthy to post, and decided to let it go. All I can say is it might have been the best piece ever composed by me, but reason prevailed so it exists only as a memory to me now, but a good one. Cheers to you as well. My76Strat (talk) 06:46, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- If you still have it, by all means save it, and I'd love to read it. I'll re-enable my email in a few days once all the drama has died down. Or if you still have my email - just send it. I've never spoken to the man, but I don't mind either. Shame so many folks are met with such disdain here - I've gotten into more than enough disagreements with folks over their approach to new users, that's for sure. To be honest, that post which you spoke of was one I should not have made. It was just that I was being harassed by email - and didn't want anyone to think I was hiding anything or being dishonest. It made me angry, so I posted. Bad thing to do, and I shouldn't have fallen for it. One more lesson learned. — Ched : ? 06:59, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

Input request
You have contributed to article The Maxwell Show. This article is currently being considered for deletion. Please consider providing input at the article's discussion page: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/The_Maxwell_Show_(2nd_nomination). Levdr1lostpassword (talk) 04:54, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
Landis
Speedy keep would not be appropriate. That's only for when the nomination is obviously vandalism/disruption (e.g. "How dare you have an article on strippers! Have you no shame?") My concern is that I couldn't find any reputable sources not directly tied to Landis or an artist he produced for. Secondary sources are what he needs. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 19:54, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
- That is fair, I'll strike that assertion. And I'll seek better references to support notability. The two references from Billboard are hardly trivial, and they can be verified. My76Strat (talk) 19:59, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
