Pakistan studies needs your participation on the talk page
Hello JCAla. Please recall the outcome of Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/3RRArchive174#User:TopGun reported by User:JCAla (Result: Protected), a complaint which you filed against TopGun at the edit warring noticeboard. He has now raised the issue at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#Admin(s) needed to check/monitor/(if possible: participate). He is arguing that his content opponents are refusing to join in a discussion of the contested material on the article talk page. If you wish, you can respond at WP:AN or simply add your opinion in the RfC at Talk:Pakistan studies#RfC about moving material from here to Pakistani textbooks controversy. Consider notifying anyone else who you know was part of this controversy who you think should be aware, so that they can reply at AN. I assume that User:Wikireader41, User:Mar4d and User:Atulsnischal were part of this debate.
If the dispute restarts after protection ends, anyone who continues to edit the article who did not try to resolve the matter on talk may draw comment. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 16:27, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Your request for arbitration
Your request for arbitration has been declined. Some of the voting arbitrators indicated that the next step for you to take could be a request for comment on user conduct. For the Arbitration Committee --Alexandr Dmitri (talk) 05:31, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- Yes. Thank you for the note. If I see what I described at the arbitration continue, I will definitely do that. JCAla (talk) 08:03, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

RFC
I have decided an RFC/U is on order for TG's shoddy sourcing and edit warring of uncited content into articles. [1] If you wish to endorse it. Darkness Shines (talk) 13:09, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Given Magog's statement here [2] would you consider looking at the RFC/U at all? Darkness Shines (talk) 11:06, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
- Hi DS, sorry for the late reply, was kind of busy lately, hardly found the time to come by. I am not that sure about that step right now. There is a lot going on with ANI and TG at the moment. Maybe wait, and see whether some things continue after the restrictions. If they do, that is certainly an option (although I would need to check your diffs). But let's wait and see, give TG some breathing space. As for another topic. How is it going to work then with you two on interaction ban? Who is going to edit the Taliban article i. e.? Do you know? JCAla (talk) 19:13, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- According to WP:IBAN we both can, however we may not respond to each other or revert each other. I am currently trying to get an article I created up to GA status, if I ever manage it I shall resume work on the Taliban article. I actually think that because of the IBAN I cannot do an RFC/U now. I had better get it deleted. Darkness Shines (talk) 19:19, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- So, you are not allowed to even discuss on the talk page about content? JCAla (talk) 19:22, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, just not with him. In fact I think a discussion like this will be a violation once the IBAN is enacted. It is easy enough I think, I just have to ignore TG completely. It will make for a more pleasant editing environment anyway, the bickering was getting on my nerves, god only knows how it annoyed every one else :o) Darkness Shines (talk) 19:27, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

(out)Well the Guild of copy editors fellow has finished and said the article deserves GA stats. I have nominated it and hopefully this time it will not be a sock puppet doing the review :o). I will begin work on the Taliban ideology section in my user space now that common sense and history have prevailed with regards to the RFC. Darkness Shines (talk) 13:31, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

- Seems like a good section to comment on this [3] funny and tragically true. Is it any wonder they keep getting caught on the wrong side? They can't even try and vote on an RFC without being busted

Shura-e Nazar
Hi JCAla ,
If you want to bring Shura-e Nazar article to b-class I would suggest:
- Adding more sources: the first two paragraphs are poorly sourced
- Adding more details: when was Shura-e Nazar created, who were its members, how did it function, where did it hold sway.
- Make sure that the article reflects a neutral point of view, and isn't a depiction based solely on certain sources favourable to the subject of the article. --Raoulduke47 (talk) 20:57, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Question
I am having an issue with this GA template. On the review page you can see this It is stable. No edit wars, etc.: [[File:|16px|alt=|link=]] However when I edit the page to put the little cross on (for stable) what I see is this It is '''stable'''. #:''No edit wars, etc.'': {{GAList/check|{{{5}}}}} and nowhere no add the little cross? How the heck does one do this? Darkness Shines (talk) 15:28, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Posted the template I use at the review page and put a "?" where you either have to put a "y" for yes, "n" for no, or something else for "don't know". JCAla (talk) 16:14, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Excellent thank you. Darkness Shines (talk) 16:16, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
Amrullah Saleh
I have raised some issues during my review, comment on the talk page when you have a moment. Darkness Shines (talk) 21:19, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
Responded re your concerns over the DOB source. Darkness Shines (talk) 13:41, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
I have passed Amrullah Saleh as a GA, congratulations. Sorry if I went a little hard, I did not want accusations of bias as you are reviewing my article. Darkness Shines (talk) 09:50, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks and you raised valid points. I wanted a honest and fair review. JCAla (talk) 13:17, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
