I frankly do not trust Andy Robinson's claim from GamesRadar that Super Metroid supposedly sold "poorly" in Japan, but more in North America and Europe, which has been cited in the current version of the article for some time now. I have tried to contact Robinson before to obtain his own source for his claim but he has never responded to any of my attempts. This claim doesn't jive with things I've read elsewhere before, and raw numbers from VGChartz directly contradict it--in fact Super Metroid seems to have sold better in Japan. This makes sense that Super Metroid didn't do as well in North America too, because Donkey Kong Country was released around the same time and likely stole some of its sales. I am aware that VGChartz is not considered a reliable source. However, what is interesting is that their numbers cited are very similar to the numbers you gave so long ago. I would really like to track down the root of your sales data to finally get rid of what I believe is an awful rumor that's been circulating around the internet ever since it was added to that Wikipedia article. If VGChartz isn't the only source that contradicts it then it becomes substantially more dubious.[[Special:Contributions/174.45.178.216|174.45.178.216]] ([[User talk:174.45.178.216|talk]]) 00:20, 28 January 2015 (UTC) |

WikiCup 2015 launch newsletter
Round one of the 2015 WikiCup has begun! So far we've had around 80 signups, which close on February 5. If you have not already signed up and want to do so, then you can add your name here. There have been changes to to several of the points scores for various categories, and the addition of Peer Reviews for the first time. These will work in the same manner as Good Article Reviews, and all of the changes are summarised here.
Remember that only the top 64 scoring competitors will make it through to the second round, and one of the new changes this year is that all scores must be claimed within two weeks of an article's promotion or appearance, so don't forget to add them to your submissions pages! If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAN, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck! Garbage and Version 2.0
I propose we both work on improving these two articles (or do it for me? kidding) before they get serious traffic after the (I just noticed) 20th anniversary of the debut. Whatdoyousay? Lapadite (talk) 03:51, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
Igordebraga, I added you to the bannerspace of NYKOP. You can add yourself to BG's if you want (the other was not a question...lol). Lapadite (talk) 19:42, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for January 15
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 1971 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Maracanã (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Global account
Hi Igordebraga! As a Steward I'm involved in the upcoming unification of all accounts organized by the Wikimedia Foundation (see m:Single User Login finalisation announcement). By looking at your account, I realized that you don't have a global account yet. In order to secure your name, I recommend you to create such account on your own by submitting your password on Special:MergeAccount and unifying your local accounts. If you have any problems with doing that or further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Cheers, —DerHexer (Talk) 16:06, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of Jaws (novel)
Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Jaws (novel) you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Sadads -- Sadads (talk) 07:00, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
A very old claim you made on the Super Metroid article
@Igordebraga:I hope I'm not doing anything wrong by dredging this section back up from your Talk archive and pinging you, but man I'd really appreciate some sort of reply from you. Please, can I get any sort of response on this?
Hello, I know it's been a really long time for you, but this has been driving me nuts for a while now.
Way back in 2005 you made this edit concerning sales information for Super Metroid. Please, I simply must know where you obtained these numbers.
