WikiProject
Hey Giggy, I'm looking to clone our effort on Powderfinger for my first love of music, Crowded House, by starting a WikiProject but I don't know crap about starting them up and was hoping you could give me a hand. If you aren't interested, that's fine, but just give me a yell to let me know either way! Thanks. --lincalinca 01:58, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- Just interrupting now to let you know that I'ev started and have created the main page and RDs. --lincalinca 02:15, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for hopping on board! I'm going to do the banner suggestion you made. I just uploaded a project image (which is now also on the mainspace cover of Crowded House in the infobox). As to being younger than Crowded House, I'm only 24 myself, only 6 weeks older than Liam Finn, however since a very young age I have been keenly interested in their music. When I first came to Wikipedia, i just asumed that the pages that were here are the ones that had to stay here, but have realised that their notability is greater than to simply have a few album pages, so I fingured I'd start working on it, but having finished creating all the single articles (which was entertaining, but very intense) I realise there's still much to be done for the whole project. Anyway, thansk for joining up. I'll get a banner together (though, customisation will probably be a little behind what I'll do until I get more people on board). If you can think of any users who've expressed an interest in this, please let them (or me) know. --lincalinca 02:45, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
Just to let you know, I've sent one. Acalamari 03:35, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

ENewsBot request
Yeah, why not. Submit a request at User:ENewsBot/Requests and I can do it through the request system for you. — E talkbots 23:09, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- Your ENewsBot request has been Approved. The bot will deliver August's newsletter on the last day of July, and so on (if that is correct). Bot will be looking for source location on the day of delivery, and if it doesn't look completed, it will be skipped until further notification by the contact (in this case, yourself). Thank you for choosing ENewsBot! — E talkbots 23:40, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Adoption:
Alright... I'm adopting now, so you're my go to guy... when the adoptee's go to guy gets confused, right? Oh yeah, and I now officially have Ubuntu Linux, it's awesome. --HAL2008TK CT 23:37, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Regarding your concerns which led you to oppose: Two users have replied at length to Theblog's comment, which you may be interested in [1]. —AldeBaer (c) 00:31, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Hi Giggy! I've blocked one of your adoptees for three hours due to distruptive behaviour. Can you please, possibly, be able to get in touch with him to settle this. I'm afraid he hasn't cooled down and he has put a second unblock request up. Thanks! --????? 00:40, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Um, how am I supposed to source a visual novel? I can't use templates like {{cite book}} since the visual novel has no page numbers, though the chapters are all named. All that is in the story section comes straight out of the visual novel story, so it cannot be properly sourced. And I don't see what's wrong with the character section. Since there are only four characters in the entire game that actually mean anything. And what was this about an anime? Planetarian never had one.--十八 02:33, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
- I have no idea what you're talking about; how would the character section be considered listcruft? You were the one that passed Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru with not only less references than Planetarian, but also with many more characters, albeit there was less on the descriptions due to a main character article. And I'm not sure you understand; Planetarian is not a book, it's a computer game. I assure you, I've searched for reviews on this game, but most are not reliable sources, or just non-notable sources. Amazon wouldn't have anything on this game in terms of reviews as it's Japanese-exclusive, and Japanese customer reviews are useless anyway. I do agree with some of the other unsourced statements, but sourcing parts of the story just cannot be done.--十八 02:43, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

That was a bot malfunction as AWB seems to be playing up on me at the moment. I'm on my old computer (running Windows 98) today, but I usually use XP to send out the newsletters. I'll try it on there when I get time. — E talkbots 03:38, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Stephan Schulz
Hi. Re your vote on Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Stephan Schulz - you're welcome to your opinion (of course) but I hope you're not taking tB's views into account too strongly: note that his views on BLP have lead to a 3RR block as the reviewing admin did not agree that it was a BLP issue [2] William M. GA nomination of Rapture (Bradley Joseph album)
Hi Giggy. Thank you for reviewing this, must be a world record -- GA nom to review in under 8 minutes. Actually, I don't believe length is included in the criteria for Good articles, but rather dependent on quality. It is not very long, but does cover every aspect from all sources available. Any suggestions for improvement to prose would be welcome, but there is nothing more I can add to it. Cricket02 22:48, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

AoM
Let me give a couple grunge work things. Check to make sure that all passive voice is active voice ("the person is fighting" becomes "the person fights" etc.) Check reference 1, make sure all sources have a publishing year (even if it's the copyright date of last updated) look for publisher and work (I.E. work=Gamespot|publisher=CNET), remove the extraneous bold text in gameplay, if there is anything worth while in the audio department go ahead, and of course add more if possible to development and gameplay. For a game this popular, it would be nice for reception and development to be as developed as gameplay, possibly add a box of review scores like in some other RTS FA games. Another good spot that takes a while to read but is worth it is User:Tony1/How to satisfy Criterion 1a if you haven't already. Prose can always be sharper and crisper, and you must put some time into the prose or it will be ripped to pieces at FAC.
As a word to the wise, I don't think you've ever been an FAC nom, so you might want to prepare yourself. You may be lucky and it will pass with few problems, but people have been known to be...brutal. Take it in stride, and keep working. If I think of more specific stuff, I'll let you know.-Clyde (talk) 19:52, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
UCL 3rd Qualifying Round
The reason i think it fits the criteria is not because it is unedited in a while, it is also unfinished Chaza93 20:17, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Transformation playing card - GA
Feel free to make any improvements that you can. I'll upload an image of a card from The Key to the Kingdom tomorrow. I left it out because I'm still getting familiar with the fair use policy and decided to stick with public domain images at first.
Oh, and thanks for taking the time to review the article. I appreciate it. -Chunky Rice 02:49, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I've added that image to the article. Please have a look and let me know if you can think of any other ways to improve it. I'd also appreciate it if you reviewed my fair use rationale and licence here [4]. Thanks for all your help. -Chunky Rice 17:38, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Your adoptee User:XAndreWx, who recently had a 3RR block on him by User:IrishGuy, and subsequently had it removed by User:Evilclown93 (also known as User:Maxim) who removed the block on your request has gone on to follow the exact same pattarn of behaviour - at least six times since he was unblocked.
I have raised another WP:3RR over here User:XAndreWx reported by User:Sprigot
Furthermore I believe that he has also resorted to sock puppeteering - and have raised a sock puppet notification over here Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/XAndreWx
I look forward to your response regarding the flagrant attitude of your adoptee since his original block for 3RR.
