Hi, it has been pointed out to me that you may be under the impression that I am an administrator here on en-Wikipedia. I am not and I have never claimed to be. I am not sure where you got the impression from, but no worries. I do spend a lot of time dealing with subjects related to India & probably do count as someone who has a fair amount of experience in that area, but I do have not that status.
|

In any event, and as any admin would tell you, administrators are in most cases "just another contributor". Yes, they have been granted some extra tools to assist in keeping this project on course but when it comes to content disputes etc they have to decide either to get involved in the dispute or keep away from it. If they get involved then they cannot use those extra tools; if they keep away from it then they can use the things. Therefore, justifying an action that you make in a content dispute etc on the grounds that "an administrator agrees with me" is something that really does not hold any water.
Please note that even administrators are subject to the consensus of the wider Wikipedia community: they cannot just do as they please. I hope that this clears things up, although I suspect that an administrator would say it better than I have done. - Sitush (talk) 23:59, 6 March 2012 (UTC) |

Welcome
Hello, Garry Singh Girn, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.
If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type helpme
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Sitush (talk) 14:06, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Okay n Thanx. I am new user. - Garry Singh Girn
Biographies of living people
Before adding any further entries to List of Saini people, please could you take the time to read our policy regarding biographies of living people. You should not add to the list the names of any living person unless they have self-identified as belonging to the Saini ethnic group and unless that fact is relevant to their notability. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information and we have to be extremely careful with regard to legal issues such as libel. There has recently been a discussion about just this subject at the talk page for our India-related project. - Sitush (talk) 14:16, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Ok Ji - Garry Singh Girn
Talk pages
Please could you take a look at WP:TPG and WP:NPA. I have removed your comments at Talk:Rajput because I think that they are too personalised. Please confine yourself to discussing improvements to the article rather than speculating on the ethnicity etc of an involved editor. - Sitush (talk) 16:57, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
March 2012
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Saini. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:13, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
