members list templates
I got tired of trying to keep all of these straight. see {{mem}}. These fix some alignment issues. --—— Gadget850 (Ed) talk - 19:55, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
momocon article
I got some notice that it's too much like an advertisement. What do I need to do to change it? ~Jess~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.176.156.44 (talk) 14:49, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- Not really sure. They probably want more refs, and instead of a list of years, distinct paragraphs describing the event's history, etc. Sadly, I don't know of any really good convention articles to use as a model here. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 17:04, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- I looked around, but didn't find anything that was really amazing. E3, Game Developers Conference, San Diego Comic-Con International are all okay articles, and Dragon Con isn't bad, but none of them illustrate how to really write a convention article. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 17:13, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Table Sorting...
Hey, you did some work on Template:AlumniStart back in the day... I'm wondering why nothing's sorting now. Can we fix it? Thanks. - Jameson L. Tai talk ♦ guestbook ♦ contribs 06:01, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Is there a defined way that lists/tables are supposed to be organized? In articles such as College of Management (GT), the table doesn't appear to have any organization or a sort button. Aside from tables with the sort options, I am not sure whether a list of notable alumni would be better sorted alphabetically (to easily find a known person), or chronologically by graduation (to track "accomplishment"/changes over time). (If you can't tell, I'm at a sub-novice wikipeida competence right now)Cdbkey1 (talk) 18:07, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- It boils down to who wrote the template. I haven't particularly bothered with the alumni lists on the college pages, instead preferring to focus on List of Georgia Institute of Technology alumni and List of Georgia Institute of Technology athletes, which (when I wrote them) were sortable. I don't know what's changed since then, but I will one day make them sortable again :) I generally prefer to sort by the person's last name when I write them. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 18:16, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- I added a "sortable" parameter to the template, but it's not enabled by default. I need to decide whether to enable it by default or manually add it to each section of each list. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 18:22, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Georgia Institute of Technology GA Sweeps: On Hold
I have reviewed Georgia Institute of Technology for GA Sweeps to determine if it still qualifies as a Good Article. In reviewing the article I have found several issues, which I have detailed here. Since you are a main contributor of the article (determined based on this tool), I figured you would be interested in contributing to further improve the article. Please comment there to help the article maintain its GA status. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. --Happy editing! Help with tables
I made a new table to be used on List of American football stadiums by capacity. I copied the code for Template:StadiumimgStart from a another table which was based on Template:AlumniStart, which I noticed you have edited. I was wondering how to use the parameters Option1 and Option2 to add new columns, so I can use this template on another article. Thank you in advance. --Pgp688 (talk) 00:15, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
- Look at how I've added Position to List of Georgia Institute of Technology athletes#American football. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 01:30, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

When you submit this article for FAC, drop me a note. I'd like to do what I can to see that it gets promoted. In the meantime, I've added a handful of tags to the article in spots where things weren't clear. JKBrooks85 (talk) 04:51, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Alumni Sorting
The (relatively) new template {{alum/start}} didn't have a sortable parameter. And I think that some parserfunctions may have changed as well. The question is, do we want to enable sorting by default? I designed the original template, and that's how I had it, and I doubt anyone is going to object to that feature. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 18:25, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure I was for auto-sorting when I asked about it a few months back. It'd be nice to have. - Jameson L. Tai talk ♦ guestbook ♦ contribs 07:28, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- I went ahead and added it. Have a look at a relevant list... for example List of Georgia Institute of Technology alumni. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 09:21, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Hey, just because you lost doesn't mean you need to rate it low importance. :P
I just saw it in my watchlist and thought it was funny. JKBrooks85 (talk) 10:29, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- I just added the importance parameter to {{WikiProject Georgia Tech}} and I'm still figuring out what to rate things. Regardless of the fact that we lost, I think it's ready to be a featured article. Thus the also rating it A-class. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 19:55, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- I guessed it was something like that. JKBrooks85 (talk) 23:01, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Urbanspoon
The article Urbanspoon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- It's a commercial product for which the article does not justify notability in the text, and is missing any 3rd party references.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sophus Bie (talk) 07:18, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

GAN notice
Hi Disavian, you currently have at least one article up a WP:GAN in the Sports and recreation section. In an attempt to clear out the backlog there, User:Wizardman asked all sports WikiProjects to review at least two articles from that section. I'm now going around and asking anybody with an article nominated under Sports and recreation to review at least one article in that section to help us clear the backlog out so your articles can finally be reviewed faster! iMatthew talk at 15:10, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
Clemson fan vandalism
You might be interested to note that the same Clemson fan SPA (CobraGeek) that reverted the addition of factual material from the Clemson – Georgia Tech rivalry article (namely, the updated series record) is doing the same at the Clemson Tigers football article. Just thought you might want to keep an eye on that. 129.252.69.40 (talk) 16:36, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
