Rulloff, Wilder Brains
Rockey, I created two pages in a fit of editing last night Edward H. Rulloff and Wilder Brain Collection. I'm sure both could benefit from your perusal. Yes, I still sometimes edit the wikipedias. --Cjs56 (talk) 14:56, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Apology
I am not a "wikischolar". So I am not as versed as you in the world of Wikipedia.
I apologize if I came off as threatening. My last response to you about messaging Chris and having his fans delete your tags was just to show you that he is in fact what his wiki profile says he is - A young comic with a fanbase on mySpace and Youtube.
Earlier this week, I noticed his page had been vandalized. 2 comments were put on there: "Chris is an assclown" and "Chris Kanik is the man who was pregnant." Along with these came your tags for citations. I grouped you in with those comments. i understand you want everything to be "reliable" on wikipedia - however - in the case of Chris - the references come in the form of his footage. The only 3rd party websites are the MTV, Bamboozle and the South Africa sites - everything else is noted on Youtube and Myspace in his footage. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.222.140.4 (talk) 22:04, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
DC Meetup Events: You're invited!
Wikipedia Loves Art! (February 27) The Smithsonian American Art Museum will be holding a Wikipedia Loves Art! meetup on Friday, February 27 from 5-7 pm in the Kogod Courtyard. This is a photography event involving Wikipedians, along with Flickr users and others, to generate content for Wikipedia. Come share your experiences, meet the other teams, and take some photos! While RSVPing isn't necessary drop Jeff Gates an email if you're planning on attending so he can get a head count: gatesj (at) si.edu. There also is a signup list here, along with detailed information. The museum is conveniently located across from the Gallery Place-Chinatown metro station. DC 6th Meetup (March 7) The DC 6th meetup will take place on March 7th at Pizzeria Uno's at Union Station, one level up from the main floor. The meetup will start at 5pm, and people usually stick around there for several hours. You can RSVP at Wikipedia:Meetup/DC 6. |
This has been an automated because you your name was on the invite list. BrownBot (talk) 16:22, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
I've noticed that you edit a lot of cornell-related wikipedia pages. since you have the status, you should add a picture of jon kleinberg to the jon kleinberg page and also edit the Google page to include information that the academic community accepts that Kleinberg first highlighted the value of a ranking system based on linking between websites years and had this published a year before Page rankings was even conceived.

WikiProject Lacrosse & NCAA Hockey
Hello Cornellrockey. As an active member of the Wikipedia community, you may or may not be aware of the Wikiproject Lacrosse team which has contributed many entries related to lacrosse. I'm a part of that team.
Anyway, I thought you might appreciate an invitation to what I hope will be a joint success story with a related (in a lot of ways) new wiki site called Fanbase.com. I'm not promoting or spamming this, but rather trying to direct certain wiki users to another active wiki community where your specific insight in any area of sport would be appreciated. I've spent about the last month doing a lot of updating on the site, when it was in beta mode, and the site officially launched on Aug 24. I think it ties in real nicely to what I've been trying to accomplish in Wikipedia, namely documenting sports and lacrosse history. So please feel free to browse the site -- http://www.fanbase.com -- and join in the fun!
As someone who is seemingly devoted to Cornell, the Ivy League, and Ice Hockey -- you should be able to bring a lot more "inside knowledge" to this new web site.
Lastly, please let me know if you feel this request conflicts with any Wikipedia TOS or even your own sensibilities. Thanks !! --10stone5 (talk) 11:07, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
