Hello Collingwood, I have just deleted the Battle of Parramatta you created as its text was taken with only minor changes from here. The Hawkesbury and Nepean Wars article also appears to have material from here in it, which I have removed. I've noticed that much of these articles' text has been taken from older Wikipedia articles, so this may have been where these copyright violations originated and these problems might not have been your fault. Anyway, please take care, and note that copyright matters are taken very seriously (please see WP:COPYRIGHT if you haven't already). - Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Category:Wars involving New Zealand, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. NZ in Vietnam
Please do not remove attribution of Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment and Royal New Zealand Artillery operations in Vietnam. They're an important part of the NZ Army's and the Vietnam war history, and should not be obscured. Buckshot06 (talk) 10:54, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hello Collingwood26. I have reverted a number of your recent edits as NZ units were indeed involved in the majority of these operations. This involvement is clearly documented in the articles, with references. I'm happy to believe that your edits have been undertaken in good faith; however, pls be a little more careful. As a number of editors have now raised this issue if you continue to make these changes without discussing your reasoning it may be seen to be disruptive. I appreciate that as a relatively new editor wikipedia's policies may be a little unclear so if you have any questions pls feel free to ask. Cheers. Anotherclown (talk) 09:46, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
Hi. In List of wars involving Australia, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Afghanistan War (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

- Hello again Collingwood26. I've fixed the dab link now and I had a look over the article and couldn't find any others so it should be ok now. Take it easy. Anotherclown (talk) 23:05, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the Talkback or Tb template.

Ok thankyou Anotherclown. I thought I could have missed some that you might know about. I did add in the 1999 East Timorese Crisis ,however, it was removed as a user told me it does not constitute a war. But I thought it would at least be a conflict worth mentioning as it was an Australian led operation and there were several firefights against Indonesian militia. Also, do you think its worth putting in the Frontier Wars which ended in the 1930s? 19 December 2011. Collingwood26
- Re the Frontier Wars, its an interesting thought although given that it wasn't organised warfare involving the forces of the state I think it might be a little out of place with the other entries. Other editors may have different opinions to me of course so if you are interested you might consider posting the question on the article's talk page here (Talk:List of wars involving Australia). I guess it really depends on the definition of war though, as this will define the parameters of the list (apparently war actually has a definition, at least academically!). Anotherclown (talk) 23:54, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
Ok haha, thanks man for your speedy response didn't know you were on :D. But your right the Frontier war was nether a declared war and was not 'traditional'. It was more of skirmishes and massacres against increasing colonisation. Thanks tho --Collingwood26 (talk) 23:59, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
Invitation to join MILHIST
- I'd like to second this invitation. The Military History project on wikipedia is one of the best groups of people to edit with. They are very supportive, understanding and provide plenty of assistance. Fifelfoo (talk) 23:02, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- D Thanks for the invite guys yeah sure I'll join. I don't claim to be any military historian or anything but I am interested in conflicts involving Australia both past and present. Once again thanks.--Collingwood26 (talk) 23:50, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- Too easy. We are all amatuers here (even if some of us are more reluctant to admit it than others). Anotherclown (talk) 23:56, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
Your recent edits
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:30, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
