Revision as of 12:03, 12 June 2010
If you want to leave a message, please do it at the bottom, as a new section, for better formatting. You can do that by simply pressing the plus sign (+) or "new section" on the top of this page. And don't forget to sign your messages with four tildes, like this: ~~~~
Attention: I prefer to keep discussions unfragmented. If you leave a comment for me here, I will most likely respond to it on this same page—my talk page—as an effort to keep the entire conversation in one place. By the same token, if I leave a comment on your talk page, please respond to it there. Remember, we can use our watchlist to keep track of when responses are made. At the same time, feel free to send an alert to me on this page about a comment you have left elsewhere.
Thank you!

George F. Bond
Bruce1ee, You submitted a DYK on an article I wrote a while back. Today I started an article on George F. Bond. I think this one might also be of interest in the DYK section. What do you think? --Gene Hobbs (talk) 22:38, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- It was just nominated... Thanks! --Gene Hobbs (talk) 23:32, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, I've verified the DYK nomination. The article looks good, well done! BTW you could illustrate the nomination with the drawing of Bond from the article. It will need to be clear at 100x100px, so a crop of the drawing might be preferable. --Bruce1ee 07:32, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for improving the link to Allmusic.com from Answers.com. I should have explored this further myself, but sadly got sidetracked. Cheers,

- It was my pleasure. Keep up the good work. --Bruce1ee 15:21, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Fred Frith and Chris Cutler (ReR 2001 Catalogue).jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Fred Frith and Chris Cutler (ReR 2001 Catalogue).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 17:20, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

"Slug"
Thanks for catching that incorrect assessment on Talk:Slug (Passengers song). I copied the banners from Talk:City of Blinding Lights and thought I'd removed all of the GA-class ratings from them; guess I missed one! Thanks for the catch. MelicansMatkin (talk, contributions) 14:40, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
- No problem! It was an honest mistake :) --Bruce1ee 14:58, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
The article is placed on hold. Just two things to be resolved and it can become a GA. --Legolas (talk2me) 06:13, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking time to review my nomination. I've attended to the two issues you raised – when you have a moment if you could look at it again please here. Thanks.

Russian Standard Vodka
Hello, I saw you not accepting DYK nomination of Russian Standard Vodka. Can you give me further help on how to get this to main page? I believe it is impossible to make it larger 5x. CrystalQuartz (talk) 19:20, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, I'm sorry I had to reject your DYK nomination last month, but I'm bound by the current DYK rules. If you say that a 5-times expansion is not possible, then I think another option to having it appear on the Main Page is to get it promoted to a featured article. Have a look at "The path to a Featured Article" box on the right. I hope this helps you. --Bruce1ee 07:30, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
DYK for "Have You Got Any Gum, Chum?"
Hi. I've withdrawn my original hook for the above article at DYK (even though you OKd it on good faith). I've relisted it with another article that has just become eligible. As the nomination and hook have been changed (albeit very slightly), I thought I'd inform you rather than reinstate your comment. The new DYK hook can be found at Template talk:Did you know#Have Ya Got Any Gum, Chum?, Murray Kane. Cheers, matt (talk) 15:11, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- It's fine, and I've verified it. --Bruce1ee 15:22, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
LifeTimes
Thank you for your comment at T:TDYK about the article LifeTimes, at Template_talk:Did_you_know#LifeTimes. I adjusted the hook per your recommendation, and responded there. Thank you for your time, -- Cirt (talk) 10:57, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks; I've verified it. --Bruce1ee 11:15, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Last Night in Twisted River
The article Last Night in Twisted River you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Last Night in Twisted River for eventual comments about the article. Well done! –– Jezhotwells (talk) 18:45, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the GA pass, and for tiding-up the article. Much appreciated. --Bruce1ee 05:46, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your help copy editing Hermoniakos' Iliad. I'd often problems to use the most appropriate wikilinks (like here with: rapsodies, epic etc.).Alexikoua (talk) 08:38, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- No problem, I was just attending to links that needed to be disambiguated as reported by WildBot on the article's talk page. --Bruce1ee 08:45, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I'm very new at this and just posted a major question at Wikipedia talk:Did you know#Template:Did you know/Preparation area 1. I was just wondering why you removed the image that came with the hook for Japan Series Most Valuable Player Award? Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 13:35, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, and thanks for helping at DYK. I removed the picture of hook 6 because only the lead hook (hook 1) has a picture. Have a look at Wikipedia:Did you know/Guide for help in updating the DYK preparation templates. --Bruce1ee 13:42, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
