:I have deleted the article in question, as it was difficult to ascertain what it was (criterion WP:CSD#A1). It had other problems as well, which I noted in the summary at deletion, but it's important to realize that the deletion reason was because there was no context to understand why it should be an article on Wikipedia's site. Even if that is cleaned up in a recreated version of the article, you will still likely face calls for deletion at WP:AfD due to original research and synthesis. Note that these alone are not grounds for speedy deletion but are certainly reasons for deletion in a discussion at WP:AfD. If you were to recreate with better context, such that it would not be immediately deleted, you would still run the risk of having an AfD discussion result in deletion. That would be problematic, because once an article is deleted in that fashion, it then can be deleted speedily if it's recreated, because it would have been deleted based on community discussion. |

:Why am I telling you all this? I want to explain how things work in this project, and give you the best chance of having reasonable, reliable, cited, verifiable, neutral content added to the encyclopedia. In order to do that, I highly suggest you create the article in your own userspace, such as User:Bci2/Sandbox and work on the article there, soliciting input from other editors along the way. Perhaps checking over at the Mathematics portal or the Mathematics WikiProject for assistance would be useful. |

Welcome to Wiki!
Hello Bci2, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like it here and decide to stay.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Read the tutorial and learn how to edit a page.
- Experiment in the sandbox.
- Follow the Simplified Ruleset.
- Try to edit from a neutral point of view.
- Use talk pages to communicate with other editors.
- Be bold in updating pages.
- Eventually, read the Manual of Style and learn about the Five Pillars of Wikipedia.
- And most importantly, have fun!
One of the more important ways you can help Wikipedia is by cleaning up articles in the cleanup backlog.

Please have a look at other Wikipedia articles, eg Stephen Hawking, to see the style used in WP, because otherwise other editors are going to keep reverting changes you make. Section headings use lower case except for first word (eg "Selected publications"); references to books should include ISBN, which automatically links to records in library catalogues etc; don't link words in titles of articles, it's not appropriate; you are using bold inappropriately. No time for more comments, but you might find WP:MOS helpful (or not, as it's a bit overwhelming). Good luck. PamD (talk) 10:39, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Esquisse d' un Programme
A tag has been placed on Esquisse d' un Programme requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Abhishek Talk |Contribs 15:07, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
