Deletion discussion about United States presidential election in District of Columbia, 2016
Hello, Arglebargle79,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether United States presidential election in District of Columbia, 2016 should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/United States presidential election in District of Columbia, 2016 .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks, OrangeYoshi99 (talk) 22:59, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
Election pages
Hi Argebargle! Can you do me a favor when creating these: For the first edit to each new page, make the edit summary say (link included): "Article created with content copied from United States presidential election, 2016, see that page for attribution."
That specific verbiage is required to attribute the text according to CCBYSA. Having the link to the main article is good, but that little snippet of legalese in the edit summary is also needed.
If you would do that, I'll set the copyright bot so it doesn't alert you every time you make one of these. Deal? :) CrowCaw 19:18, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of United States presidential election in Montana, 2016, and it appears to include material copied directly from https://www.newikis.com/en/wiki/United_States_presidential_election_in_Washington_(state),_2016.
It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
Hello, Arglebargle79. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

December 2016
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Discretionary sanctions alert
Please carefully read this information:
The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.
Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. - I apologize for the outburst. I saw your last edit summary and assumed it was on the same subject. I initially thought you were removing Jack Fellure like you were before based on your edit summary. However, I still do oppose the edits. 1) Trump's picture should remain where it should, see the most recent election. 2) There is no need to minimize Fellure's picture. 3) It seems unnecessary to say that it is "tradition" that a candidate drop out of the election when in the incumbent president is running. I also would like you to stop using the same excuse regarding Jack Fellure "He is not a candidate. He merely sent a letter to the FEC. He is a hobbyist who will do nothing more than send a couple of letters and maybe make a speech. This is based on what he did this year." That is WP:NPOV and WP:CRYSTAL. He will remain. Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Donald Trump, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Scjessey (talk) 14:56, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Donald Trump presidential campaign, 2020
The article Donald Trump presidential campaign, 2020 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- WP:TOOSOON.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Winged Blades Godric 15:17, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Democratic Party presidential primaries, 1984 into Democratic Party presidential debates. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 15:54, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

Eisenhower Museum reference
Hi, Arglebargle79. In your revision of 07:28, January 31, 2017 on Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum and Boyhood Home, you added some great information but you have an incomplete reference for the source. You cited a web page that lists the journal for sale, not the actual journal itself. If you own that journal, please update the reference using the template I've installed in the article. Otherwise, I have just purchased it myself and can fix the article when I receive my copy. Thanks. See it's talk page for discussion of my recent edits. RM2KX (talk) 15:45, 6 March 2017 (UTC)
