Hi. How's everything? A while back you deleted Talk:Pro-American sentiment under G8 after closing the afd. The talk page, however, was an archived deletion debate of an earlier "votes for deletion" (VfD) debate. See Wikipedia:Archived delete debates/May to Jun 2004, where this page is listed, now red-linked. This comes up as a result of this post at Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion. Always a glutton for tedious research, I am going through the many red-linked pages and notifying the deleting admins. Can you restore the page? Thanks.--[[User: |

I noticed that you had blocked 63.3.1.129 from editing wikipedia on May 20, 2007. If you are interested in whether the shared IP makes a difference as far vandalism goes, might look at the edits that were made with the other IP numbers this person uses. |

63.3.69.136 - 63.3.69.133 - 63.3.69.6 - 63.3.1.1 You will see that he/she edits Linda Ronstadt frequently from each IP address, and has made numerous vandalizing edits from each of them. I don't know if this makes a difference, but hopefully it will shed a bit of light on this problem. I'm not trying to start any trouble... Just merely pointing out the obvious. Let me know what you think... --Candy156sweet 03:49, 25 July 2007 (UTC) |

I really find the addition of the 2002 U.S. military incident in the Virginia Tech massacre article very much a low blow. If Cho were a member of a 35,000 strong foreign military force in the U.S. when he committed these crimes, the American public would be very much discussing if the foreign force should leave. The fact is, Cho lived most of his life in the U.S. and was very much more American than Korean. This is a very unnecessary injection of politics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hyok lee (talk • contribs)
- If you can reference and cite a reliable source for your statement in the article then that would go a long way towards substantiating the assertion that it makes. Unsourced statements cannot be relied upon by researchers. Also, please sign your Talk page comments with four tildes, ~~~~ and providing a link to the diff upon which you comment is also useful for context, as I deal with a lot of edits when I am on duty, as shown in the above title. Regards, (aeropagitica) 23:07, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
What part do you think needs a reliable source? The number of American troops in SK? The fact that there has been friction between SK citizens and the U.S. military? Hyok lee 23:25, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks, but it's a shame that I even have to block a single person. Just think how improved the encyclopedia would be if all of the vandals contributed just one researched, referenced and correctly-cited fact? Regards, (aeropagitica) 08:20, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

- Please remember to include a title to your Talk page posts that gives some context to the subject. Cryptic messages where I have to guess the subject are not as well-received as those that include some explanation as to the cause and request.
- This IP editor isn't blocked - perhaps they are suffering because of collateral damage caused by a now-blocked account? Regards, (aeropagitica) 11:00, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Requested deletion.
The article Cripple_Buttons is vandalism. Could you please delete it? Pwnz0r1377 19:34, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- It was marked for speedy deletion and I have been going through the category in the last few minutes. Tagging is enough, there's no need to tell admins what they need to do for such situations! Incidentally, you might want to think about changning your username as LEE7 isn't a great choice of vernacular. See WP:USERNAME and WP:CHU for details. Regards, (aeropagitica) 19:37, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
My user page
What specifically happened to it, if I may ask? Phony Saint 19:37, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- It was created as a vandalistic effort with disparaging remarks and swearwords directed towards yourself, so to remove those from the system it needed to be deleted rather than just blanked. There's no blame on you, it was a vandal editor who did the damage. Regards, (aeropagitica) 19:39, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- Alright, I was just wondering if it was related to some user I had a run-in with, or some random vandal. Thanks. Phony Saint 19:52, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Recent deletion of csc page
A page I recently created has just been deleted by you, I entered my resons for creating the page and recieved no reply. Could you tell me the reason why my post to keep the page was seemingly ignored so that I may avoid having pages I create deleted in the future? C3pkeogh 19:46, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- Can you please include a link to the deleted page for me to review? I'm going through the speedy deletion candidates and there are many of them, so context is essential when you refer to such matters. Regards, (aeropagitica) 19:53, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- Can you also please sign your Talk page comments with four tildes, ~~~~ in order to link through to your user page, please. This makes it far easier to contact you. Regards, (aeropagitica) 19:54, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
CSC (Check Shoe Crew) Hopefully this will help you find it. Best wishes C3pkeogh 19:58, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- You seriously believe that a clique of three schoolchildren is a notable addition to the project? Please do not recreate this page as it will be classed as vandalism. You might want to read WP:BIO and WP:ORG to see the guidelines on notable people and groups for Wikipedia articles. Regards, (aeropagitica) 20:06, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
I do believe it is a notable addition, if you saw the reasons for keeping the page I noted in the pages talk you may notice that it is not the size of the clique mentioned in the page "clique of three schoolchildren" that I believe gives it a reason to be included in the encyclopedia but the fact that the page was a valid example of a social cliqe, an example that is crucial to inform a persons understanding of what a social clique actualy is. Surly it is the purpous of an encylopedia to assist in a persons understanding/knowlage of a topic, the topic in question being social cliques. Best wishes C3pkeogh 20:14, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- Please see the articles on cliques and social groups for encyclopedic entries on the subjects that you mention. Your article was too specific in regards to the social group in question. If the threshold was lowered to permit your clique an entry in the main space then literally tens of thousands of other school/college cliques would also attempt the same thing. If you want to tell people about your clique then please do so in a blog or website and not on Wikipedia. When attempting to offer a business case for retaining an article proposed for speedy deletion, please always refer to the appropriate policies and guidelines to demonstrate notability. Personal beliefs are neither here nor there when assessing the deletion of an article. Regards, (aeropagitica) 20:28, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Good point. It was my personal "belief" that the artical should remain in as far as it was your "belief" that it merited deletion. Thanks for your time. Best wishes C3pkeogh 20:37, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- No - I decide which articles to delete based upon the policies and guidelines mentioned earlier in this dialogue. You can also look at WP:CSD for the speedy deletion criteria, they're open for consultation by all. My personal beliefs don't guide my administration of Wikipedia, otherwise I might delete articles that I found offensive or didn't believe in, which would lead to my being banned from editing. That's one of the reasons why admin powers are reserved, so personal bias doesn't come in to the equation. Regards, (aeropagitica) 21:07, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Reply to a message.
Hello (aeropagitica), I am Leben. A few moments ago I created an article about a part of the film: 'the matrix', it was the organisation named 'megacorp'. This was because of a link to the subject in the article on megacorp. The information in the article was completely correct and the information was not present on wikipedia all ready.
Did I do something wrong? Could you suggest another way that such information could be used on the site? If I am not allowed to create an article then why do I have the power to do so on this website? I just think it's a shame that the information must be erased.
Please: a justification or solution. Leben2 17:37, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- The article was deleted because the subject was not notable according to the policies and guidelines by which articles are assessed for inclusion. The subject of the article is not germane to a discussion of the film or the character of Thomas A. Anderson, so it requires little more than a brief mention in the article on The Matrix. The article could not rise above the status of stub in the encyclopedia so it would be better to mention the relevant information in the above articles.
- Just because an article can be created doesn't mean that it should be. The policies and guidelines dictate what is and is not appropriate for inclusion. Researching notable topics and subjects that are either not represented or require substantial improvement is one of the key areas of participation for contributors such as yourself. I hope that you continue to do so and enjoy your time here. Regards, (aeropagitica) 17:54, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi there. I'm not sure what state the article was in at the time, but you deleted John Boyle as a non-notable person. As someone who played professional football for Chelsea F.C. for a decade, he fits the notability criteria. SteveO 01:52, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I didn't see that in the article's history. A vandal had overwritten the notable biography with their own. I have restored the notable version and warned the vandal appropriately. Regards, (aeropagitica) 04:41, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

- Hello! Firstly, please add new comments to the bottom of my Talk page - scattering them randomly about the previous conversations makes it difficult to find and keep track of them. Secondly, please sign your Talk page comments with four tildes, ~~~~ in order to make it easier to communicate with you. Thirdly, please give a link to the article that was deleted. I work through a lot of articles when I'm on shift, so a link to the title is vital for context. I can't help if I don't know what you are talking about! Admin Coaching
Hey I'm Arknascar44 and I saw that you were an admin coach without a student. I don't mean to impose, but I, being a sysop hopeful, was wondering if you could be my coach. I don't edit too much, just adding an InfoBox here and there or translating a page, but I do patrol daily for vandals. If I ever become an admin, my first action will be to use my powers to combat vandalism and defend the verifiability and integrity of Wikipedia. Thanks for taking time to read this Arknascar44 18:40, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Where's my article
Look, i know my article on tree-tops was up for speedy deletion but i followed the instructions and i put why i think the article shouldn't be deleted and i come here the next day and *POP* it's gone... explain please. Silly monkeys 316 19:20, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Tree-top was deleted because the article offered no context for or claim of notability regarding the subject. Additionally, the language used in its construction was colloquial - "...those not savvy to the lingo..." - and did not offer an explanation to any potentially interested researchers. The article was also lacking in references and sources in order to research the facts in an academic manner. If you do have reliable sources for this subject then perhaps it can be mentioned in the Playground games article. If you do not have such sources and are merely mentioning something that you play yourself at school then I would think twice about attempting to add it to the encyclopedia for a third time. Regards, (aeropagitica) 21:46, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Could you give me some advice?
As yu well know, approximately two months ago, I put in an RFA, viewable here. It was unsuccessful. Now, I've gained much more experience, and I was thinking or putting in a second RFA. Do you think I should? If you could, please leave your answer on my talk page. Thanks! -Billy227, review my account!! talk contribs sndbx usbx 20:03, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well, the advice that I would give in response to this message is that you need to build a business case to tell me why you believe that you should be an admin. The business case should be based upon evidence in the form of diffs and should clearly show how your actions in situations that would require the experience and powers of an admin helped to mitigate matters. You can then use this as a basis for your RfA statement. It would need little editing and, if it fulfills the requirements above, should make your chances at RfA much better. Why are you pushing so hard for admin status - it's no big deal. If you do answer that question, then please make it in the form of a business case and leave it on a sub-page of your userpage and not on my Talk page. - Dear Aero, you know I've been around for a few weeks now, and all this time I've wanted to drop by and talk to you; I never, ever forget true friends, even tho time constrains and sometimes lack of inspiration make me postpone it for a better, brighter moment. I decided enough time had passed without visiting you, so I needed to drop by your talk page and tell you I've missed you a lot, hoping to renew the friendship that we share. Today is your special Day, and even tho it may be cold and wet outside, be happy and shine on, sweetie, for you have enough light within yourself to make it brighter than the Sun itself. Love you! :) Phaedriel - 08:13, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Manchester Meetup
Hi, just getting in touch because you expressed an interest in the meetup here. Some people have expressed a view that they would be able to make it were the date moved from Fri 8 June to Sat 9 June. Obviously its now getting pretty close, so I thought a quick poll would be the best the way to find out the better day. If you're still interested, it would be great if you could say whether you can make either or both days here. Thanks, WjBscribe 16:51, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the helpful comments. I really appreciate the feedback. I have a few questions concerning your comments on my RfA. First off, what are diffs? How can I use them? Secondly, what would you consider with admin-related tasks? Mattl2001 04:44, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hello! Diffs look like this and clearly show the differences between edits, in addition to the edit summary that is used to justify making a change. You can see how much easier it is to see evidence presented in this way as opposed to having to dig through what is usually several thousand edits' worth of contributions on the part of an RfA candidate. You should always be prepared to justify your statements on Wikipedia, whether it be accusing someone of vandalism or showing the community why you should be an admin. As for admin-related tasks that an editor can do, you can patrol the new pages and recent changes on the lookout for vandalism and either revert and warn and/or report persistent vandals to WP:AIV for action when they have received their fourth-level warning; contribute to XfD discussions, using these as an opportunity to show how your opinions are based upon the policies and guidelines; there are others, take a look at Wikipedia:Administrators to see the range of things in which we participate and go from there. unable to change username bc I cant log in
Hello I've asked to have my username changed from 'Soraia.ahmadyar@gmail.com' to 'SurieKiz' but my request was not granted because they said I have to log in in order to ask for a username change. The problem I have is that I have forgotten my password and am unable to retrieve it. When I ask for 'Email new password' it will not because it says, "no email address" under account. Can you please help me clear this up? I used my email address as my username and I am getting a ton of wierd spam198.151.13.15 14:18, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Soraia.ahmadyar@gmail.com
- If you've forgotten your password then that's pretty much it for your account. I don't know of any retreival method available to absent-minded users. I guess that you are learning the hard way about making your e-mail address publicly available on a widely copied site such as Wikipedia. As you are using gmail, you can use their filter to remove spam from your inbox. With your next account, remember to avoid using your e-mail address and to enable the account holder to receive e-mail from other Wikipedia editors. You can set this up in your preferences, linked at the top right-hand side of the Wikipedia page. Regards, (aeropagitica) 15:29, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank you very much for supporting my RfA, which closed successfully yesterday... W00t! Hi (aeropagitica), It still amazes me that otherwise "anonymous" editors take the time to place !votes and comments on RfAs. Whilst I would have normally thanked you at the time of you leaving your message, the importance of my not appearing to be canvassing prevented me from so doing. Now that everything has progressed successfully I can finally thank you. I intend to uphold a style of good adminship and will welcome your further comments at any time in the future, even if they are in the form of admonishment. Library discussion
Greetings. I see that you are a librarian and an admin, and I also recognize your name from around the wiki. There is a discussion going on at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Spam#Unusual university spam that I hope you will contribute to. The addition of external links to library collections by people who work for those libraries is going to continue to be an issue, and I think we should work to develop a clear policy about it. Thanks for considering it! Latr, Katr 01:50, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Judging by the article Talk page history, I think that following the dispute resolution process with this editor would be better than issuing a simple 3RR warning. He has asked for a Checkuser against you for sockpuppetry. I don't suggest responding in kind but if it is a baseless accusation you can use it to demonstrate your integrity as an editor and show harrassment. (aeropagitica) 04:57, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello aeropagitica
I have a question. Recently I was trying to upload an image to the article on Shen Kuo using this image image:Mencius.jpg, because that image is located in Wikimedia Commons and its copyright tags are concise. However, as soon as I tried to do that here on wikipedia, a completely different image popped up. Apparently this image is floating around wikipedia and belongs to no articles (and has improper evidence or even a link to show that it is public domain), yet has the same image name as the one I was trying to use from Commons. I need to know the proper deletion tag so I can tack it on to the dubious image. Furthermore, how the hell did this happen? How can an image on wikipedia have the same exact name as the one in commons. The most aggrevating thing is I can't figure out how to bypass the stupid thing and just use the one straight from Commons.
Thanks.--PericlesofAthens 09:38, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
- Nevermind! Getting annoyed with the situation, I searched around on Google and found the exact image that was used. It is public domain, taken from the National Museum in Taipei. Everything's good.--PericlesofAthens 10:05, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
My RfA
Thank you for participating in my RfA. It was successful, and I am now, may God have mercy on us all, an administrator. Look at all the new buttons! I had heard about 'protect,' 'block user,' and 'delete,' but no one told me about 'kill,' 'eject,' and 'purée.' Please help
I am User:Rimush. I have added an anti-vandalism tool to my monobook, and since then my computer freezes whenever I try to log in to my account. Please remove the tool from my monobook, since it's a protected page and only administrators can edit it (and you were the first on the "list of administrators" thing). I don't have any real way of proving that I am User:Rimush (if you can think of a way, I'll be happy to do it), but, then again, if I'm not, deleting the tool will do him no harm, since he can just add it right back (so it's completely safe for you to do it, even if you don't believe me). Please help, I don't want my account to be lost. Thank you in advance. 89.120.193.125 18:50, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

I got your note about my email as a username. Trust me, putting my email address on Wikipedia is not a concern - I freely use my email address on websites all the time and it hasn't hurt me yet. More than anything, I want to be up front about representing not only myself but also my company on this site; I feel I can do that best by tagging everything I touch with the full address. Okay after reading about your policy on "non notable bands" I understand why my article was deleted. But the thing is I'm not sure of how to create a band page on Myspace, I know how to create a regular myspace page, but not one for a band. aeropagitica if you could somehow help me in that regard it would be much appreciated...oh yeah, and someday, they'll be famous enough to have a page on here. ;) hehe my e-mail is majickninja1988@hotmail.com if you wanna contact me there. - Well, I'm not a Myspace admin so I have no business telling anyone how to set up their Myspace pages. If you could avoid the horrendous html coding they use then that would be a good start! You can always read the Myspace article here and head on over to the site where they will probably have some help pages to assist new users. Beyond that I can go no futher. Don't forget to sign your Talk page comments with four tildes, ~~~~, in order to tell editors who you are and when you commented. This makes it much easier to respond to your enquiries rather than looking at the history of any page that you edit. Regards, (aeropagitica) 22:37, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of "We're Scared of Bob"
Sorry but I disagree with deleting this within minutes of its creation. My initial comment was "Created in response to requests on YouTube" i.e. "can someone post the lyrics?" and "who are the puppets?" The song is referenced by others in both the "We Are the World" and Spitting Image pages. It was a short article, but fairly concise in that it contained all of the lyrics and the puppets who appeared. In other words, it made more sense than "He is a funny man that has created Factory and the Hacienda. And, by the way, his wife is great." Danny Darko 23:47, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- There was nothing in the article to demonstrate its notability above any other sketch that appeared on Spitting Image and a transcript of a YouTube video doesn't attest to notability either. Every Spitting Image sketch depicted a celebrity and several sang parodies of chart hits too. Their status is no more notable than this sketch. (aeropagitica) 23:55, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Killers smile like you mean it.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Killers smile like you mean it.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. After Midnight 0001 03:00, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Can You Delete Two Talk Page Edits From My Page?
A user created an attack page and has apologized thrice (long story, you can check history) and while I want to keep the apology, I think it might be best that the retard edits: [2] and [3] be removed. Is that possible? -WarthogDemon 19:38, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
Unless you think it's not that bad. I just want to make sure all extreme/serious attacks on people can not be traced through my talk page. -WarthogDemon 19:43, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hmmm, that's slightly awkward because the edits exist in the edit history of the page. I think that to do this would mean recreating your page and merging in order to preserve the edit history. It is a fiddly thing, though. Is it really necessary? (aeropagitica) 20:04, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- In that case, no. I was just wondering if that was standard but if it's unnecessary, then don't. I was wanting to make sure. Thanks though. :) -WarthogDemon 20:07, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

This needs to be solved
I have taken the "List of Companies" problem (what to do with an entire class of articles that get repeatedly submitted for deletion en mass?) for debate to two different places. This really needs to be solved once and for all (we can't keep debating the same stuff for eternity). Would you take a look at either the discussion on the Village Pump or the relevant wikiproject? Aditya Kabir 15:41, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
The claim you made that the Hillaryland stub was unverified and unsourced is blatantly inaccurate. I sourced the original stub with a link to the Washington Post, the preeminent political news organization in the US. If that is unsourced, then tell me what is. Your labelling struck me as arbitrary and spurious. --TallulahBelle 17:13, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- Firstly, please remember to assume good faith on the part of other editors - your enquiry is unnecessarily hostile in tone. I don't think that you mean this but words on a page can be interpreted in more than one way. Hmmm, I see the problem. You have supplied an external link but not placed it within the framework for inline references, so it doesn't display in the prescribed manner. Have you seen Wikipedia:Footnotes at all? This demonstrates the correct manner for applying <reference> tags. Wikipedia:Citing sources is also useful. I will either make the necessary changes to the article when I return at 2100 UTC or look and see what you have done in the interim. Regards, (aeropagitica) 17:38, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Who died and made you Emily Post?--TallulahBelle 18:09, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- I imagine that this is an American pop culture reference that is lost on me. I'll sort the article out now, if it hasn't already been done. (aeropagitica) 21:07, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
The reference is now correctly cited. (aeropagitica) 21:30, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- My irritation towards you is founded on two factors: One, your double standard which verges on the hypocritical, and two, your tone and manner, which is portentous to the point of pompous.
- Regarding the first issue: You present yourself as a stickler for detail and correct usage. Yet your failure to note a perfectly legitimate and clear reference to the Washington Post in the stub leads me to believe that you are only trying to give the appearance of thorough conscientiousness. Were you actually conscientious and detail-oriented, you would have easily noted the reference. If you had been unsatisfied with its form, you could have corrected it in your first edit. Yet in your first edit to the stub, you chose to place spurious labels on it, labels that serve no other purpose that to disqualify its veracity, rather than correcting what you claim was erroneous referencing.
- Hence I don't believe you are actually conscientious or concerned about the veracity of Wikipedia articles. From your actions, I infer that you're interested in merely seeming to be so.
- Second, your tone and manner: Admittedly, a pompous and portentous prose style isn't something that can be changed as easily as, say, a bad hair style. It's a reflection of your personality, after all. 'Nuff said.
- Finally, the Emily Post reference isn't exactly pop culture—it's general culture. Again, it's something which a lack of genuine conscientiousness would prevent someone from finding out.

Baltimore City College WikiProject
Hello I wanted to know if you could help me with a severe article problem with Baltimore City College. The members of their wikiproject keep reverting edits and monopolizing the entire article, including whats said in the article. there are a lot of POV statements that can't be changed because no administrators have intervened yet. Question regarding linkspam
In a case where a user has added similar linkspam to a great many articles (e.g., [4]), is there a way to remove them all, without going through each article and simply hitting undo? I have gone through roughly half the articles on his contributions list, and have already left him a warning, but this is growing tedious. Thanks in advance for any thoughts you may have. Cheers! ---TheoldanarchistComhrá 17:32, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know of an autotool that would assist with this task, unfortunately. When I have dealt with similar cases I have had to keep the vandal's contributions page open in one tab and open each instance of offending linkspam in other tabs for rollback purposes. A little time-consuming to be sure. Perhaps someone else knows of such a tool? If you discover one then please do tell me! I have a feeling that its use may be reserved because of the possibilities of mass vandalism if it fell in to the wrong hands. Regards, (aeropagitica) 20:33, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, makes sense. I am wrapped up in something else at the moment, but I will get back to deleting all that rubbish later. Thanks for your response. ---TheoldanarchistComhrá 20:45, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
The Marijuana Logues Script
I wanted to know if it was OK for me to add to the content of Wikipedia's current Marijuana Logues page by adding the script. I don't know if there are copy write policies in place... - All contributions to Wikipedia projects are governed by the GFDL licence. This means that every edit you make is given to the Wikimedia foundation and is no longer your property. If you want to post the creative work of other people then you need their express written permission that they acknowledge that the work now belongs to Wikipedia. Most people won't want to do this, so I would advise against cutting-and-pasting the work of others against their wishes. Read the help pages for more details. Fair use disputed for Image:STByAnyOtherName.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:STByAnyOtherName.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 17:58, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Signature
I would like to know how to change the color in my signature. I went to the signature page on Wikipedia but it did not do a good job of giving step by step instructions. I was wondering if you knew. Also, it said you need to be registered. Are being a user and being registered the same thing? Thank you, Libertyville 14:46, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- Being a user and being registered are not the same thing, as the English Wikipedia currently accepts contributions from anonymous IP editors. You are registered as you have set up an account with a username to which your contributions are attributed. Changing your signature is not a difficult thing to do. Before I say anything else, I would encourage you to keep the code down to the bare minimum required, as often people create pretty signatures that take up three or more lines of code. This is very awkward to read through when contributing to a Talk page or a Policy page discussion.
- The code for my signature looks like this: (aeropagitica) - very simple indeed. If I want to change the colour of said signature, I would add a hex value to the signature like this: <span style="color:#080080">(aeropagitica)</span> which looks like this: (aeropagitica). The list of web colors is available at Web colors and you can experiment using the 'Show preview' button to minimise the number of edits you make. You can also create a user sub-page to do this. Please remember to keep the code string down to the bare minimum for the comfort and convenience of other editors! Regards, (aeropagitica) 07:07, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you. - Libertyville | Talk 01:56, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Speedy Deletion? wtf?
I made a page for both Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso. i dont understand why they were deleted. They are huge and they are in a band called Metro Station for whom I also created a page for. They have a cd out in September and their own myspace and purevolume pages. This all seems so stupid. And Trace is Miley Cyrus' brother. And Mason is Mitchell Musso's brother. It seems everyone on here is out of the loop so I'll clue you in. They are on Disney Channel. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LMSKICKS (talk • contribs)

I'd recommend explaining yourself in the clearest possible terms, as referring to one musician of which I know nothing in defence of a deleted article on another musician of which I know nothing is not a sound basis for argument. Where possible, articles should be sourced and those sources should be cited according to the guidelines. If you have an idea for an article but haven't gathered your sources together then it is best to place your ideas in a personal sandbox for revision before publication in the main article space. Lastly, please don't forget to sign your Talk page comments with four tildes, ~~~~, as this makes it far easier to contact you when you leave comments. About the Copyrights
i want to ask that can i upload an image of a sportsman taken from TV?--Adeelbutt88 talk 16:53, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- I would take a look at Wikipedia:Image use policy and also ask your question at the Village Pump where someone better qualified than me in dealing with images will be able to assist. My impression is that the broadcaster of the image that you have captured would own the copyright and unless they have given you express permission to upload it to Wikipedia or Commons then its use on this project would not be advisable. Someone else will be able to give you a more thorough explanation of image usage, though. Regards, (aeropagitica) 17:39, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Deleted deletion debate
Thanks.--63.3.1.129 02:20, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
--Candy156sweet 03:49, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
