MacDroid is a file transfer app for macOS developed by Electronic Team, Inc. First released in 2020 [3], it was designed to transfer files (including photos, videos, music, and folders) between a Mac computer and an Android device[4] [5]. The app is compatible with macOS 10.13 or higher.
MacDroid includes features like mounting Android as a disk on a Mac, editing files on a Mac, and full-folder support [6].
The app works through a USB connection and comes with two connection modes: MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) and ADB (Android debug bridge) [7]. After a seven-day trial period, the product can only be used to transfer files from Android to the Mac; to transfer files in both directions, a paid subscription is required [8].
