== Donald Trump pic - for safekeeping - section fr SusanLesch (talk) removed 5-01-11 == |
First you changed the caption of the sole pic of Donald Trump remaining (short of the pic in the bio info box), from "Donald Trump" to "Donald Trump's signature hairstyle". Then you used that change as springboard to change the pic itself, to a pic consisting solely of the top of Trump's hairstyle (top of head) - a pic which obscured and blotted out Trump's face. |
My question for you is ... Was this in good faith? Or was it vandalism? |
First, please allow the man a picture in his "Personal Life" section. Second, the pic in the bio box already showed Trump's hairstyle clearly. Third, somehow you gleaned the meaning of the "Personal Life" section to be focused on hair. (Don't you see that as your particular quirky POV?) Fourth, to include a pic of a man with personality and charism and fame, by only his top-of-head (hair), could be considered rather insulting and in bad taste. (Or, didn't you think of that?) Fifth, you also shrunk his pic prior to re-captioning then changing it. Shrinking diminishes importance. (Was it too important for your POV?) Sixth, did I say deliberately selecting & including a pic of a man's top-of-head/hairstyle (only) was insulting and in bad taste?! |
If you turn on your TV to any late night Talk Show, perhaps you will hear plenty jokes about Donald Trump's hairstyle. If you read online comments people make about Donald Trump, I'm sure you will find easily maybe 1 million or more insults about his hairstyle. |
Did you really need to re-enforce this already overdone (and substanceless) craze, with your proffered selection of pic of hair/top-of-head only?! |
Good faith? Really? Perhaps you are a little quick/glib at the keyboard, and don't stop to think how insulting and in bad taste the above changes were. |
(A pic of Trump of just his top-of-head! I'm still stunned at the thoughtlessness.) |

:You can say whatever you like but not here on my talk page. Have you considered talking like this on the article talk page? I spent an hour on Flickr and found two new photos. I made a mistake on this one as User:ThomasPaine1776 already corrected. The photo is featured in Vanity Fair and was taken by User:Shankbone who got credit for it. And yes the magazine talks about his hair. The other one says in my edit summary "nice pic with celebrity". So please go away until you have regained your composure. -SusanLesch (talk) 21:36, 1 May 2011 (UTC) |

::You are missing the point. It doesn't matter if you spent one hour, or 40 hours, finding the pic you posted. It was inherently insulting and in bad taste. The intent of the pic (until you came along) was to include a pic of Donald Trump in the "Personal Life" section (outside of the pic in the bio box). The fact that you added a second, inoffensive pic of Trump, really has no bearing on the insulting pic choice you proffered for at the top of the article. |
::You mention you made a "mistake". Please specify what you think your mistake was, because it's not clear to me. (Again, the order of your changes, was first to change the caption of the Vanity pic photo, to make the subject about Trump's hairstyle. Was the Vanity article subject about Trump's hair? This seems to be your own POV. Then you changed the pic itself, with your re-done photo caption justifying your new pic choice.) I'm curious to understand where you think your "mistake" occurred. |
::Dont' worry, I'm composed. Just a bit in shock by your sequence of changes to the first pic. |
::p.s. If I'm not welcome to write here, then perhaps you shouldn't respond here. (Does that make sense?) |
::I have no more to say. Thanks for your considerations. Ihardlythinkso (talk) 21:58, 1 May 2011 (UTC) |

:::I suggest you read the Vanity Fair piece before spamming me again. In the future I will remove your notes here. Bye. -SusanLesch (talk) 22:02, 1 May 2011 (UTC) |
