81.117.200.18 (talk) Redirect - these elements are systematic names, and undiscovered. They're not notable until they are discovered and named! |
Stirling Newberry (talk | contribs) reverting pov vandalism - element is notable because the number appears in peer reviewed litearture as cited. |

Unbinilium (IPA: /ˌʌnbɪˈnɪliəm/), also called eka-radium, is the temporary name of an undiscovered chemical element in the periodic table that has the temporary symbol Ubn and has the atomic number 120.
History
The name unbinilium is used as a placeholder, as this element hasn't been officially named. Transuranic elements beyond uranium are, except for microscopic quantities, always artificially produced.
Stable Unbinilium
The element is of interest because it is part of the hypothesized island of stability, with isotope 304 being the most stable of those that can be created by current methods. Using the spherical model of shell formation, element 120 would be the heaviest element in an island of stability, and also, along with 114, the most spherical. (Patra et al. Journal of Physics 2000)
