Teletica is a private Costa Rican television network, owned and operated by Teletica's founders, the Picado family. It was the first television station in Costa Rica.
History
In October 1958 was signed the historic agreement that gave rise to Televisora de Costa Rica S.A., Teletica Channel 7. Mr. Mario Echandi, President of Costa Rica, took the decision to grant licenses to private television. Two men were his great predecessors, in the area of business, Mr. René Picado Esquivel and the area of electronics, Mr. Carlos Manuel Reyes.
