Revisions to Subdivision Table
The original version of this table (which I added to the article) reflected the complete WM system as of mid-century (1940s-1960s). Those were all the formal subdivisions in the WM organization. Any trackage that was not listed, was a branch (sometimes called a "Secondary") within one of those subs. Listing all those branches would have made the table much more complex (and, I don't have complete references for all WM trackage).
The State Line, Georges Creek and Stony River lines recently added to the table are/were branches, not subs. To accomodate this new information, I've added a "Notes" column to the table, and placed the branch info in that column, along with other notes (e.g. CTC). If people want to add more details about all the branches, I think it will be necessary to create additional articles, one for each subdivision. (There are already two such articles started for Hanover and Lurgan; they can be expanded.) Placing every branch of the WM system in one master table would be quite a cumbersome task, and hard to read as well.
Please also note that the trackage included in the present-day CSX subdivisions do not all correspond with the earlier WM subdivisions. Caseyjonz (talk) 17:37, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
