This edit seems inappropriate and was rushed following the article's nomination for deletion. None of the articles describe a relationship between the Venezuelan government and guerrilla groups; the articles instead present that the Chávez government was participating in mediation efforts in the Colombian conflict. There have been adversarial parties, namely Colombia and the United States, who have accused the Venezuelan government of being involved with sponsoring FARC. This, again, may be undue in nature. Finally, regarding the Maduro administration presenting itself as being "welcome" to two (then former) FARC leaders, the context is that a peace process was still in the works at the time. |

If we can have independent, reliable sources documenting Venezuela's support for FARC and the ELN, I would remove my nomination, but this edit seems like a quick copy and paste job. WMrapids (talk) 07:08, 22 February 2024 (UTC) |
