:That's rather peculiar because, when I first posted the link, the same page said "By the time Montreal-born, Toronto-raised Stevie Vallance was nineteen" and then said that she was offered the role on Knots landing at the age of 20. A Google search still shows that content in the summary, as does the Google cache. The 18 April 2010 cache of a myspace page also shows the same. A number of other sites that mirror the text from that page also have 19 and 20 on them. The page has obviously been edited recently to make the ages fit a 1966 birthdate but I find it incredibly strange that a person's own website could have made a seven year error in the person's age. Something strange is going on here. She was certainly not 13 in The Ropers, a series I'm currently watching so her physical appearance doesn't support the 1966 birthdate. Perhaps Vallance is just in denial about turning 50. --AussieLegend (talk) 16:17, 24 April 2010 (UTC) |

Also, there is no way she could have been born in 1966 and been on Knots Landing in 1980 as an adult. She would have been 14. I'm betting she was born in 1956. --Northofdc
Tooned In! subsection reads exactly like ad copy
It might be worth mentioning as part of her career, but this reads as blatant marketing.

The article is fine - dates and info are correct
The article on Vallance reads fine to me. The age info is correct, and the ToonedIn! info is factual, not marketing. FilmFan123 (talk) 09:10, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- The age info isn't correct. She joined The Ropers in 1980. If her birthdate is correct, that would have made her 13 at the time, when quite clearly she wasn't. Her website states that she was at least 20 when she was on the Ropers, which means she couldn't have been born in 1966.[1] --AussieLegend (talk) 14:49, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, but she clearly states that she was a child actor, and there is no mention of a conflicting birthdate on her website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by FilmFan123 (talk • contribs) 23:21, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- If you follow the link I provided, it quite clearly states on her official website that when she was 20 she was offered a role on "Knots Landing" and then (ie after she was offered the role at age 20) she spent a year on "The Ropers". Therefore she had to be at least 20 when she was on The Ropers. She appeared on the Ropers from January 26, 1980-May 15, 1980, meaning she was 20 in 1979 when the first of the episodes were filmed. She played an adult role on The Ropers and was quite clearly not 13. Simple maths (1980-20=1960) shows that she had to be born in 1960 or earlier in order for what she has on her website to be true. As for her being a child actor, where is that stated? --AussieLegend (talk) 00:38, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
Her official website http://www.stevievallance.com/about.html states that she was already performing across Canada before she was 12 (as a child). --FilmFan123 (talk) 15:33, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
