I do not want to be identified by my religion, unless everyone is identified by their religion, which is not the case.
Can Kagan accurately be classified as a Jewish politician? Most wouldn't describe him as a politician per se, especially since he's never held (or apparently ran for) an elected office. --BDD 20:24, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

The formulation appears to have been taken verbatim from a text that can be seen on carnegieendowment.org or leighbureau.com, and therefore would also constitute a violation of copyright.
Besides, can someone confirm whether Kagan has made significant contributions to judaism? If not, I think that the categories "Jewish X" should be removed; these categories are meant to categorise people who contribute theologically, not to file people according to their personal religious convictions.
