Race
I have noticed that the critical reception section of this article makes no mention of the widespread criticism of the treatment of race in this episode. As well, the visual aspects of the treatment of race in this episode have been mentioned by critics and thus may need to be elaborated in the description of the image used on this page. - I think widespread criticism is an exaggeration. Especially amongst notable sources. If you can produce some sources, let's see them. --SubSeven (talk) 19:01, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- Hm... So what exactly is wrong with the cast when it depicts someone with albino features resulting from incestuous relations in their lineage freeing slaves in a region that is based on ancient Egypt? 84.63.37.20 (talk) 13:38, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
Plot length
WP:FILMPLOT suggests that plots for feature films should be between 400 and 700 words. The current plot is 1394. I will grant that most episodes of GoT are complex - and the season finales exceptionally so - but I still feel like much of the prose is inconsequential to the plot. Do we really need these first two sentences to describe what happened at King's Landing?
The icy relationship between newly married Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and Sansa (Sophie Turner) is thawing slightly, as they stroll and banter about how to deal with the public mockery of their shared status as outcasts. They are soon met by Podrick Payne (Daniel Portman), who tells Tyrion that he has been summoned to a Small Council meeting.
Don't get me wrong - it makes for great reading, but it's not encyclopedic. Has there ever been a consensus to allow for such verbose plot descriptions for this series? Hoof Hearted (talk) 14:10, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
- No, a consensus hasn't formed about it. I too like elegant writing, but I think it isn't as desirable in an encyclopedia. It certainly isn't desirable in a plot summary. Maybe a reworking is called for? - Jack Sebastian (talk) 15:47, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
